They’re genuinely trying here, but that’s the problem. It’s a noble attempt, not a clear success. My visit saw great service, but the kitchen was amiss. The dining room music was too loud, like a bar, but they fixed it, upon request. The real issue was with the food. Appetizers began with calamari. I was(apparently) able to diagnose a problem with the fryer, from my table, yet the chef had served it anyway. Perfect cook, but loaded with grease. I told the server it was cooked at an improper temp. I asked for a remake, that returned overcooked. Not a huge deal, but after you admit the fryer isn’t working properly, you think they’d make additional effort to get it right, or redirect your menu selection. Lamb chops where delicious, but in a paltry portion compared to the menu price. Rack of lamb ain’t THAT expensive folks. My wife’s chicken was good, but again priced for fine dining, while remaining pedestrian on flavor & value. They’re trying here, and that means something. What they’re missing on is the execution… and that’s the part we’re counting on when we invest in a meal here. A bit of show, without the requisite go. Good news, there’s room for improvement, and it’s not a total fail. A generous 4 stars for effort.

Its ok based on what you order. Stay away from any seafood or «out of the ordinary» dishes and you’ll be fine. Fortunately my wife wasn’t feeling adventurous and ordered a plain cheeseburger and fries, and it was pretty good. Kids split a pizza and they said it was good. The fried calamari was old and rubbery. The stuffed avocado and fried Brussels were just plain nasty.

Will not return. I understand that restaurants have to mark up food to make a profit. This place is way too overpriced! The $ 6 kale salad was tiny. The 12in pizza was as hard as a rock and very overpriced. The retro music was distastful and difficult to be around. Our server was really nice though!

Spinach salad awesome! Greek pizza okay. Sat at the bar, had wine. Had to ask for water. Also had to ask for another glass of wine. Bartender/server looked dazed and not very attentive. My wine glass was Empty and the server did not even ask if I wanted another. I had to ask for it.

First off, I love the atmosphere here. The staff is vibrant, stylish, edgy and polite. It’s a breath of fresh air for a 20 something young professional here on business. I sat in the bar/lounge area and it was pretty alive for a Wednesday night. When in Texas, you need a margarita, right? Do yourself a flavor and get the Elderflower Margarita! It’s fresh and delicious! The entrees are unique and delicious. I was in the mood for a burger. They are anything but ordinary here. Mine had jalapeño cream cheese, bacon jam, etc. yum! Fries were amazing and covered with sea salt. With all due respect to this town, this is a «diamond in the rough». Give this place a try!

The reviews were very good however when we got there we found the seating in the restuarant was not very comfortable for large men. The pizza we ordered tasted good however the bottom was Burnt. The grilled Brussels sprouts were excellent. The salads were terrible. Their prices were the biggest problem, a small pizza was $ 16, Brussels sprouts were $ 4, Crab chowder $ 7, and salad was $ 6. There was no value to the items we ordered and for that reason we will not return to this restaurant.

Wow, amazing food. The fried Brussel Sprouts are spectacular; who would have thought Brussel Sprouts could be delicious?

What a treat! Everything was delicious. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Everything was perfect! Our waitress Cheyenne was helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasure.

This is the closest thing to high-end dining that Texarkana has to offer, and it doesn’t disappoint, often going out of its way to specialize in the unexpected. This truth shines brightest in the selection of pizzas, which range from so overwhelmingly carnivorous they might make a T-Rex blush to the relatively healthy and vegetable-laden. Sharing one with friends in the lounge area is about as close to the good life as it gets in TK.

Went here while passing through Texarkana for the night. This place was a decent surprise! The bar area was quite crowded on a Friday night, but the restaurant area wasn’t too bad. The menu had both plain and more sophisticated choices. I had the chicken breast with lemon oregano sauce special, with roasted new potatoes and Mac and cheese. The chicken was a nice cut, but could have been warmer. The skin wasn’t crisp either, but was a bit rubbery so I didn’t eat it. The roasted potatoes were crisp with great flavor and the Mac and cheese was very creamy and flavorful. Overall great food, chicken could have been warmer and server could have been friendlier but I would still recommend this place, especially among the other choices in town.

My husband and I have been to Twisted Fork more than a dozen times. When they first opened more than a year ago, the food was spectacular, and we went every weekend. Sadly, the quality and taste of their food have declined over the past year. I went there again yesterday for my birthday, and paid $ 100 for one of the worst meals and dining experiences of my life. We had the 1. Lobster tacos — the lobster was fried, the sauce not very flavorful, but overall decent. 2. Shrimp linguini — extremely bland, we had to add salt to the shrimp for any taste, ate only the shrimp, and discarded all of the linguine 3. Twisted fork burger — they over-charred the pattie, giving it a bitter taste. I had to cut the char off to eat it. Old stale fries 4. Fried Brussel sprouts — this used to be on of my favorite things to get here. This time, they changed their Brussel sprouts to the large ones, left the hard stem on, and cut them into halves, rendering them flavorless compared to before. The nail on the coffin — we asked our server to bring out an extra large plate, mustard, one extra pickle dill, and extra ketchup, and we were charged a $ 4 split plate. When I told the server that we did not ask to split our burger, she replied that the manager told her she had to charge me for the plate, extra pickle spear, and ketchup. How ridiculous! I have no problem paying $ 100 for dinner for 2 for good food and service, but unfortunately the change in management, food, and servers have left a sour taste in mouth. Needless to say, my husband and I will not be returning.

Was skeptical since we are in Texarkana but this place is so good. Great service. All waitresses are dressed neatly and clean. The atmosphere and music was awesome for a relaxing meal after a day of work. I picked this as a date night with my guy and he loved it too. Also, the tea was amaze balls!

Atmosphere 3… awkward dining arrangement. High booths and tables next to them so low you wondered if you were being punished. Service 3… Come on now.really. Just being nice at the end of service for a good tip? Food 3 Meh…ok I guess. So much potential… poor execution. The pork chop looked gorgeous but so tough you couldn’t chew it with shark teeth. Enjoyed the chicken but the fried Brussel sprouts were undercooked while still managing to have a burnt to heck and back outer layer. Bar.(GETS A BIGFATZERO)…sat for 30 minutes or more without anyone asking if we’d like a drink. How long do you really think you’ll be in business? SORRY for the bad review. .I really wanted to like this place. On a good note… loved the baked crab dip appetizer. Seriously, the owners need to put on a disguise and visit one night. See if you’d come back for a second time.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. My wife and I ate here and I was delighted. The restaurant sits at the end of a plaza of sorts. They have a bar area, which is kind of loud. Although everyone seemed to be having a great time. They also have a dining room that is a lot quieter. We sat in the dining room. The menu is really impressive. It is only two pages, and everything in it sounds delicious. They obviously subscribe to the idea of doing a few things very well rather than a ton of things averagely. Seeing a simple menu like this always makes me smile because the food is always good. I ordered the flatiron steak, prepared sous vide. I suspect this means«Soooo good,» in french. It was amazing. It came with Mac n cheese made with Gouda cheese. My wife had the New York strip, which she enjoyed. It came with fried Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. The Brussels sprouts were delicious. I was actually a little sad I didn’t order them myself. I looked over the drink menu and was pretty impressed. I didn’t end up ordering s drink, but was tempted. They had about a dozen higher end cocktails. Even one made with absinthe. Overall this place is great. Whether you’re looking for a great meal or just a nice cocktail, this is the place.

I had high hopes when I heard there was a fine dining place on Texarkana. I should have known better. The menu listings sounded good but that’s as far as it went. I ordered the«seasonal» red fish with fried Brussels sprouts and smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese. The fish was over cooked to the point of being burned and crusty around the edges. I also found a slew of pin bones that were camouflaged by the fried spring onion garnish. The shrimp cream sauce was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were interesting but needed salt. As did the Mac & Cheese — very bland, no seasoning, and grainy sauce. When I mentioned the problems with the fish, the bar tender said that’s how it goes with fresh fish. Nice selection of bottled beer but nothing on tap. Cocktail list was pretty old fashioned except you couldn’t get an Old Fashioned — out of oranges. Two beers and an entrée $ 35 + tip. I would have been better off at Red Lobster.

So glad I chose this restaurant as our dining for the evening. Visited the Texarkana area and looking forward to a return trip there. From the rolls and cocktails to the smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese, Hummus and pita chips, calamari, fried Brussel sprouts and my delicious Twisted Burger… everything was delicious! Our waiter was attentive and very customer oriented also. The whole staff was nice and I was highly impressed… I love good dining!

Dinner on a Friday night, late, with our two kids. Menu is small but food is good. Lots of different items that you wouldn’t find in a chain restaurant. We had lobster tacos, flat iron steak, burger, grilled okra, and smoked Gouda mac n cheese. Everything was really good and prepared perfectly. Prices are a bit high but fit the quality and uniqueness of the food. I don’t know that this place is really kid friendly. It’s more of an upscale date night place but we weren’t turned away or anything for having kids. Music in lounge area is loud(live) and can be heard in regular dining area. We are from out of town so this was a nice change.

What a great meal we had!!! We had a group of about 15 and we loved our meal and the service. Trendy bar if you are just interested in a cool place to meet a friend for a drink. But if you want a unique meal with flavor, you should definitely eat here. They have both a regular menu and additional seasonal items. The chef, Jeff, is super friendly and our server, Melissa, just raved about the time she has known him and worked with him. Our food was prepared in a timely manner especially considering it was a Friday night and being a large party. Melissa was a very capable server who took perfect care of us. The food was so favorable!!! There are enough choices to please everyone and if all of the servers are as knowledgeable as Melissa about the menu, you’ll understand exactly what a dish is like before ordering. We had jerk chicken pizza, fried brussel sprouts, gouda and mac and carrot cake for dessert. It was all perfect! You should go eat here if you have the chance. We look forward to visiting on our next trip to Texarkana.
