One thing I really liked about this venue compared to others was it’s curb appeal. Some event centers require you to go through the front lobby of a hotel and although they have doors near conference center rooms, they only serve as escape routes for the smoking crowd. At The Cascades the exterior is upscale, well maintained and you can enter it from the main door or from the hotel lobby. The interior is modern and neutral. And by neutral I mean they don’t force some goofy theme on you or drown you in western references to constantly remind you you’re in Texas. Tacky. And because it’s still considered new, everything is in great shape and feels clean. The ballrooms and meeting rooms are what you would expect for a hotel. They can accommodate groups of various sizes and I believe they can even do outdoor setups for weddings, etc. The staff are all polite and helpful. They offer easy set up for computers, screens, etc and have staff on hand to help with«technical issues.» Overall I was impressed.
