Clean store, well organized, lots of options to choose from. One side is plus sizes and the other has juniors/misses and a small selection of girls sizes. They have shoes, jewelry, scarfs, and other accessories.

This is the second and last time I’m ever going to this location. Last time there was only one other person in the store and one employee ran out the store setting off the alarm wearing a Cato outfit or something that had their alarm tag attached. It took almost 45 minutes for the short, dark haired employee to ask if I was ready instead of anyone ever saying hello or making me feel welcomed. This time it took over 45 minutes for me to even hear that same employee and a redheaded employee to say hello period and it wasn’t towards myself. There were probably 8 other people in the store around 8 pm on a Saturday evening and not one time did I see either employee leave the cashier area. I’m a huge people watcher and could hear and see the disappointment in other customers. I finally walked up to the redhead and asked if she was the only one working and she said no. Then I had to ask her if I could try on the outfits I had. The vibe I got was that they could care less about working at Cato’s on both ocassions. I usually go to the Cato on Josey Ln in Carrollton because they ROCK and are always helpful and make sure every single customer knows they’re there to help and say hello. I’ve even told the manager at the Carrollton store my previous experience and she apologized several times. Not sure why The Colony Cato severely lacks in customer service but I spend a LOT of money each month on clothing and when I go to a store, a little«hello, how are you doing» or even a smile goes a long way with me. Living only 5 minutes from The Colony Cato is convenient but definitely NOT worth the feeling you get after leaving that place. They need a fabulous manager and employees who excel in customer service like the Carrollton Cato does! Has management not noticed why their sales aren’t exceeding other Cato’s? Well, I’ve answered that! I’m done! I’ll take my $ 2,000+ on clothing elsewhere. By the way, I am a business owner and understand customer service should always be #1 no matter what it takes. I can afford to buy higher end clothing but with my weight fluctuating I prefer to shop Cato’s. Plus, their style and the way their clothing fit are much better now than years before. I commend Cato for their attention to detail in all areas and hope that my complaint serves as a tool for training this particular location.
