We spent the night in The Dalles headed home to Calif. We wanted pizza and found Sahara Pizza on-line. Other pizza places didn’t have dine-in and Sahara did so we thought we’d try it. THE PIZZA WAS GREAT! Loved the crust. Also ordered a small salad which was enough for 2 people. I definitely recommend this place. One thing I would like to say is that a the guy that took our order needs to be a little more pleasant and Smile!

The pizza is ok. The people can be really rude. I had a gift card which s as good as money. Then I had a coupon for a buy one get one free and they would not let us use both. The owner was a real jerk about it. Go to dominos great pizza always.

Good pizza, good angel hair pasta, good salad, good service with free bread sticks. We’re happy. Price a little high but they give you large portions like you see in the pictures. Meat pizza thick with meats.

This was my first visit to Sahara Pizza. I ordered the margharetta pizza looking for a light pizza. The spinach was bitter. (Interestingly, my wife had spinach on her pizza and it was not bitter.) The oil seemed to have been poured on the crust rather than brushed. Oil was pooled underneath the crust in the pan. The crust that was dry (around the edges) was crisp and tasty. Unfortunately, most of the crust was rapidly absorbing the abundance of oil. I will try here again as I simply cannot believe this pizza was made correctly.

The price is a little on the high side, compared to others in town, but for a delivered pizza, it is hard to beat! Great taste, and good service. If you are looking for a delivered pizza and don’t mind the extra $ 5 for good quality, then this is the pizza for you.

I was in The Dalles for business and ordered this to my hotel room. Service was fast and friendly. Prices where reasonable. Very good crust and fresh ingredients on the pizza. Wings could and should of been cooked a few minutes more.
Will order from again the next time I am in town.

This pizza is the best pizza of its style in The Gorge. I was blown away by the quality cheese they use. They use top quality ingredients and it sets their pizza apart from all the rest. I’m a born ‘n bred New Yorker, so I take pizza seriously. This is good pizza.
It’d be nice to be able to get a beer with the pizza, though.

First of all, pizza’s not supposed to be awful. It appears no one told this to Sahara Pizza.
And, while their pizza is like spooning the contents of a diaper found in a senior center dumpster into your mouth, they get the other food right.
Their angel hair pasta is great, the sauces are numerous and decadent and their barbecue wings are sweet, meaty and stickier than a three-year-old with a fudgesicle.
I pray on my hands and knees that the Sahara chain figures out that a crust shouldn’t be made solely from corn meal and barber hair; and that cinnamon isn’t a pizza topping. If that happened, I would have a good pizza delivery place to go to. And Dominos Pizza only cuts the mustard when I’ve been drinking and/or knocking a ball-peen hammer against my temples.
So, keep up the good work with the other foods, but stop making pizza out of ingredients that taste like they’ve been raped by an angry hobo.

This place is located on the main street near safeway just off I-84 in The Dalles. This is one of only a few mom and pop type pizza places in this town that i know of.
I went here for lunch and ordered a standard cheese pizza with a few toppings. The guy behind the counter taking my order was real friendly and talkative. The service was not too bad, and the prices were not bad either. It was the crust that was not that great. I don’t want to say it was like cardboard, but it was not very good.
Since i really liked the service and the place was really clean, i may go back at some point and give them another try.
