Went there for late lunch. Busy place. Had scallops and they were delicious. For dessert had the key lime pie. Really good. Would have had another piece but the wife stopped me. They have inside and outside seating. Service is real good. They also have daily specials. Go.

Dinner tonight was wonderful. They don’t take reservations but they do offer call ahead seating to minimize your wait time. They had sold out of the Mahi Mahi, but I’m glad they did because I had the swordfish and it was fantastic. The others in our party had scallops and shrimp. All were very happy. Great service as well. Managers made table visits to ensure we were happy. Very reasonably priced for the quality and amount of food. Next time I’ll try the Mahi Mahi. Lol

We were down here visiting my in-laws in February. This place gets really busy in the winter time, when everyone flocks down here especially on the weekends. We got here around 2 pm on a Friday and they told us it would be a 30 minute wait. However, to our surprise, we were seated within 10 minutes! I ordered the butterfish which came with coconut rice and vegetables. It was very succulent and I would order it again. Our server was really nice as well and provided great service. The view next to Lake Sumter is a plus! We would definitely come back!

All good including service, efficiency, and best of all all four of us really enjoyed our food and drinks, and all of this on a very busy day.

The food was horrible. All the food at our table was all over fried &GREASY! Service was horrible. I don’t mind paying for a decent meal. but this dinner we had was the worst for all 8 of us. Not 1 of us will ever return nor will we advise anyone to eat here! Anyone that rates this more then a 2 must have eaten for free or work here or own the place!

2 words… yum… mmmy. We’ve been stopping in every year for the last 8 years while visiting the in-laws during Christmas. Highly recommended by the father-in-law who stops in with his mens’ weekly golf league. Nice atmosphere & relaxed. Fish & chips heaven.

Received awesome service from our server, food came out quick. Location is nice with good view, but the food was not what I expected. The grilled wings were burnt, the onion rings were skinny and greasy. The salad my husband had was good, but pricey. The food is nothing to rave about. I did like my Mai Tai drink, I guess this is a cool place to hang out for a couple of drinks and maybe an appetizer. Did not make it to my favorites list.

Go for the view! Menu is predictable and mostly consist of fried food. That’s not a a bad thing if they actually did well but unfortunately in this case they don’t. The staff tries but seems like the places is in organizing and miss managed. The drinks are cold and the location is great…

Pleasantly surprised by this gem in the middle of chain restaurant wasteland. Fantastic sunset view from the deck. Nice service, fair prices. The Boom Boom Shrimp and the Seafood roll were both very good! Beer selection could be better, but you can do far worse around here.

Excellent service and the staff is great. The lobster roll was fantastic and the clam chowder was also very good. You cannot beat the atmosphere on the water.

I think this place is overrated. The staff is very friendly, the view is really nice but the food is average. We had the bisque which was very creamy but not very tasteful. The clam chowder was OK but could be more tasteful. The Boston platter was OK but too much deep fried fish. Not very healthy.

I give it 5 stars because the food is good, the view is outstanding and the waitresses are always nice which certainly must not be easy with a million retirees! I’ve been here many times and every time I have enjoyed it. You will too!

My husband and I arrived in Florida and decided to stop here and eat. The food was delicious! We had the appetizer of fried pickles that were almost as good as you can get at home. I had the butterfish, which I have never tried before but it was amazing. My husband had the halibut and he enjoyed it as well. The staff were wonderful and attentive. I would defiantly go back here to eat again.

If you like crab legs, you must go to the all-you-eat night… call first, because it’s only every other Thursday. I love the butterfish!

Excellent service. Great view on the patio. The bleu cheese chips were great and so was the Landon Apple Salad. The Boom Boom shrimp was good but average. All in all a great place to eat.

I’ll give this place three stars on the food, and 4.5 on the view. The view is really idyllic, palm trees reflect off the lake, golf course across the lake, and the Cape Cod inspired surroundings of Lake Sumter Landing are really beautiful, a gem nestled in this backward ass hick town. Food wise, it’s like a TGI Fridays with a focus on fish. We only had three items but two out of three was terrible, while one was the 2nd best Shrimp and Grits I’ve ever had, so that was worth three stars on its own! The other dishes were calamari appetizer: half cooked in a bland doughy breading with tasteless marinara. Last dish was also half assed: the coconut shrimp. Not crispy fried, but rather sorta half fried, and the shrimp themselves were not flavorful. Sauce was good, a Mae Ploy variation. Service was half and half. Hostesses were super nice and helpful, and even asked how were things when I walked by to the restroom. Food runner was fast and friendly. Our waitress was clearly weeded and let it show, stopping only for a second after the food had been dropped off for 5 minutes already. I had to stop her retreat so that I could ask for items. Just a 10 second pause would’ve been all I needed to list requests, but because of the rush I forgot some things which made her make two trips instead of one. Partially my fault there I know, my apologies. When I mentioned we were less than satisfied with two of the dishes, our server had no response at all. Being thoroughly critical here because it looks like a halfway fun place to work and we will be coming back, just hoping for some small improvements. One final note, they have Fat Tire on tap. Deeelish.

The view here is excellent and worth a visit. I started with a bowl of seafood bisque —-very tasty. Then I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was very good, lots of shrimp in a mildly spicy grits in sauce. My wife ordered their specialty, the butterfish and said it was excellent with a very tasty sauce. I would probably give them a 4 star based on the food but it took us so long to get a table(and we had called ahead) that I was in a bad mood while rating. Once we did get a table, Bonnie did an excellent job of serving us. I would go more often if I could get a reservation.

First off directions on Unilocal are wrong. They took us to another lakeshore drive. When I called the front staff didn’t know how to direct me… Strike one. Then we finally got here and we got squashed into a single table with three people. Strike two. Peeling lobster should be fun. The clam chowder was like paste and the noise level was way too high. Apparently folks in the Villages speak really, really loud. I have been to rock and rap concerts with lower decibels. You know it is bad when you have to yell your order to the wait staff. When I told the hostess(asssume the yellow shirt meant that) about the bad directions on Unilocal she said. .I don’t use GPS… seriously? Strike 3. I won’t be coming back because it is too noisy, the staff doesn’t care and the food is just so so. Red Lobster would have been better.

This is a fun and casual seaside restaurant! And the prices were pretty reasonable as well. I loved my scallops salad, they were cooked perfectly. The crab stuffed fish was something I’ve never tried before and would highly recommend. Also, the fries were cooked perfectly! The portabello mushroom burger was OK, but had extremely strong after taste of cheese(maybe feta?) The wait on a Friday for lunch was about 20 min. The one thing that was terrible was the water, it tasted like iodine. Maybe I’m just not used to Florida water? But I literally could not drink it. Very strange.
