I can’t even give them 1 star. I made a reservation and there were plenty of booths open and yet they tried to seat us in adjoining tables. Strike one! I ordered the rock lobster tail. Salad as nothing more than iceberg lettuce with a few onion slices, cherry tomatoes and croutons with ranch dressing that had no taste. Strike two! I had rock lobster for $ 30 and baked potato, no other sides came with it. The lobster was so tough I couldn’t eat it. The manager came & offered to give me a different entrée but at that point I wasn’t interested so she credited the bill $ 10! Add to that they use the same rage to wipe the table & seats and I had enough. Will never return! I can see why Darden is in trouble. Hey corporate, try dining in your overpriced restaurants and you’ll know why your bottom line is in the tank! PS– I had to give them one star to post!

Its not about the food on this one. Its Red Lobster. It is good food but not the best seafood I have ever had. Having said that for many years I had a tradition of eating a lobster on my birthday since I was 4. The past few years I have not carried forth in that tradition. But this past June while on a business trip after a long day I decided to stop in on my birthday and have a lobster as a treat to myself. It was late in the evening and there were very few diners in the place. I sat at the bar as the only patron and watched a baseball game while Tom my bartender selected a fantastic Lobster and meal that for me. For being all alone after a long day of work on my birthday at a bar… this really was a great meal, but again as I said in the beginning this review is not based solely on the food. It is about the service. Because it was my birthday Tom, bartender did not sing, Thankfully but there was a happy birthday card in my to go stuff at the end. I want to say thank you to Tom, Randy, Nancy, Esaias, Lu, Stephanie, and the two other signatures on the card that I cannot read. Tom attended to all my requests and was a fantastic host. THANKYOU for a great ending to my birthday.

I had the lobster bisque and it did not have one piece of lobster in it, so I sent it back. Had the shrimp and steak dinner. The steak was tough and the shrimp was grilled only on one side. The waiter forgot my green beans and didn’t bring out steak sauce or even offer to get it. Not happy with red lobster.

I have been to this location three times while being in town and I love it! All three times the waiters/waitresses have been very nice. The restaurant is nice and quiet and I’ve always been seated immediately. Will definitely be going back.

Ooooo! Not good news tonight. No greeting upon arrival. Two people at seating computer & it took at least three minutes to find us a table… AWKWARD. Then hostess forgot her table numbering system & picked an occupied table. AWKWARD! She finally spotted another open table & asked if she could seat us there. AWKWARD! The yummy cheese biscuits were brought shortly after but we were missing napkin wrapped silverware. I finally got up, went & found same on a reset table. Service was accurate, just slow. Food was excellent so all was not a bummer. This place needs a management review. Badly. The manager was the 2nd person at the seating computer when we arrived & didn’t even look up at us let alone speak. We won’t be back until we are so senile we’ll have forgotten his snub.

We finally arrived at The Villages in Florida in time for dinner. The Red Lobster was just down the road so we had dinner there. Red Lobster’s are usually A-OK and this one was no exception. I had the lobster bisque soup and a half order of the teriyaki glazed salmon(an unusual departure from my usual shrimp dinner order). Both were good. My wife ordered the Tilapia with roasted vegtables and it came in a steaming parchment bag — she really, really enjoyed it. Alex our waiter did a great job.

Over the years, every time we go to a Red Lobster we swear we will never go to another — the food is always bad. We’ve been to this location twice — friends chose the restaurant — and it didn’t change our attitude. How this chain survives is a mystery to me.

At first, service for our party of four was fairly attentive, though our rather brusque waitress seemed to rush us into ordering and insisted she knew what we would prefer on the menu. Mind you, she’d never seen us before in her life. So that was just a bit irritating. And it’s not as if any of us had asked for her opinion nor had given her a clue as to what we preferred to eat. Food delivery was pretty timely, though, and the salads were fresh if not all that interesting. Typical Red Lobster fare. The main complaint we had about this particular Red Lobster was the flavor of the entrees. Fried foods had an odd flavor, which typically occurs when many species of seafood are fried in the same oil, and most items were overly salted, leaving us very thirsty afterwards. It didn’t help that the fish was cut so thin that the breading outweighed it by double, thus intensifying the odd flavor as well as saltiness. And when will Red Lobster stop encrusting their baked potatoes in kosher salt? We were told they never make them without it. When our waitress eventually returned to give drink refills she splashed onto the plates and our arms when she poured from the pitcher. In a hurry again, I suppose, though the restaurant was nearly empty when we were there. She never did ask about how satisfied we were with the food. Uhm…next time? We’ll go someplace else. After all, there’s a plethora of options in The Villages.

We ate here last Friday night. It wasn’t crowded and we got a table right away, near the bar. We waited quite awhile for a server to come to our table. When she showed up, I ordered at vodka martini on the rocks, and my husband ordered unsweet ice tea. My martini arrived, again after quite a wait, straight up! I asked the server for a glass of ice. Again, after longer than it should have taken, she returned with a tall glass full of ice. My husband then went to the bar and asked for a short glass with ice, so I could pour my martini over the ice. Not once did the server or bartender ever ask if they could make me the drink that I ordered. We ordered oysters on the half shell for an appetizer. The oysters were very small and two of the six weren’t cut from the shell. Our meals arrived and my tallipia was very good. My husband’s trout was a very small portion. My husband asked for a refill on his ice tea, and received sweet tea. When he told the server that the tea was sweet, she made a «smart» remark, as if it was really no big deal. My husband doesn’t like sweet tea. No snide remark was necessary! Our ceasar salads were tasteless, with very little dressing on them. The whole dining experience was very unsatisfactory. It will be awhile before we return to this Red Lobster!

Service was fast. Food was the same as others. Chain food is just that. Usually the same where ever you go. Server was friendly and the décor very nice and relaxing.
