Very good restaurant. It’s small and quaint and the food does take a bit longer but I don’t mind. The quality is ok. The Canadian bacon taste like Hormel and it’s really thick. It’s not my preference so I would probably order something else on Sunday instead of eggs Benedict. The corned beef hash was not too great. There was minimal corned beef and way more potato. The service is very good.

Just ate lunch at Rosie’s. Great food as always but the waitress was subpar. Our food was dropped off and we were not checked on after that and she didn’t even come back to give us our bill. We usually tip at least 20% and this time she got 0 there’s a first time for everything.

I love diners. I especially love breakfast at diners. This diner was jam packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. I had the bacon, Gruyère and spinach omelet with potatoes and toast. She assumed I’d want white toast(which is a bad sign to me), but they did have multi grain toast. The food was fine, not great and I don’t love Smuckers jelly on my toast.(They actually had Aunt Jemina syrup too… oy). Little things take a fine diner experience to a memorable one… and this was just… fine. Next.

Joint # 91: ROZZI’S RESTAURANT, Thomaston, CT. ROZZI’S RESTAURANT has been in business for 12 years and has since received countless praise from diners on food sites like Unilocal. It seems their greatest compliment aside from the food, is the friendly service /family-like atmosphere that Rozzi’s delivers on a daily basis. We encountered this same ‘vibe’ upon our visit and were generally pleased with our experience. RATING(S):… J. Diggity Dog: 7.5÷10, Dog Man Sac: 7⁄10. J. Diggity said, «Hummel Bros, skinless, homemade chili. I found the chili had a slight ‘burn’ after I got into it. It was good. It was a longer Hummel. Spicy brown, good raw onion. I liked it overall. I thought it was a pretty good dog. I’m going with a 7.5 J. Diggity. 7 and a half. I think the chili could have had a little more flavor and I mean that’s pretty much it. I mean it was a skinless dog, so there wasn’t any snap. Yeah, a little more flavor in the chili, even though it had a slow burn, but I could have used some more spice as well — overall, it was good, I liked it. Split-top bun too.» Dog Man Sac said, «I think that is a fair assessment. Rozzi’s is a nice, family-style restaurant. It is kind of like ‘Cheers’, they know your name here. So you should come down and check it out. They have a great menu, it’s extensive, but they don’t have the dogs on the menu. You’ve got to ask for the dogs! They’ve got the Hummels, the foot longs, the smaller ones(circumference). The bun was great. The bun was a New England — style bun, which we appreciate. It was buttered, it was grilled. Had a nice crunch to it. Dog; a skinless dog. We went with the chili, that they do make here, it’s a homemade blend. I would have preferred a little more taste and a bit more spice and heat. Didn’t quite get that out of it, but other than that, it’s a reasonable product. I’m going to say that I’m a 7 for this dog, Dog Man Sac 7 for Rozzi’s.» — The Dawg Tour

AMAZING food, staff, and atmosphere! Me and my boyfriend are big foodies and have tried every breakfast place you could think of near/in Bristol. I had the steak&eggs and my bf had the CornBeef Benedict both served with a generous portion of hash/eggs/toast. I’m writing as I sit here with my full stomach, totally satisfied with our breakfast as it was the best flavor’d & portion size for your money! Even down to the coffee was awesome! Best of all the owner Megan was a real up beat and friendly women who really set the positive tone in the restaurant, it was a pleasure ! What a fresh feeling, to finally find a place that we will be coming to regularly! Worth every penny, can’t wait to try the lunch and dinner ! DELICIOUS! A must go to spot!

Rozzi’s is the type of place that New England is known for. It is a simple place to get good food and it isn’t too expensive. It can get very crowded so expect to wait. Ive had both breakfast and dinner and enjoyed each very much.

I had dinner at Rozzi’s with 3 other adult family members last night. I ordered the«Cobblestone Drive» Salad and it was out of this world!!! I’m actually eating leftovers for lunch today. I will definitely go out of my way the next time I crave a hardy salad. The others that I dined with also said that the food was good. I need to however, deduct a star for the mediocre service. The waitress was gruff and seemed rushed. Menus and silverware were being dropped onto the table vs. placed. We turned it around by making the situation our inside dinner joke so instead of becoming upset about it, we just equated it to… being in Thomaston and not New York City.

I live about 30 seconds away from Rozzis, which can get dangerous because their food is so darned good. My husband and I eat there at least 3 times a month, and always bring out of town friends there for breakfast. Our go-to breakfast order is the Corned Beef Hash Benedict, which is out of this world. The staff is always so friendly and remember your order when you become a regular like we have. Awesome place, food, prices, and people!

I stumbled upon this place driving home from work… I ordered the chicken noodle soup and lobster roll. The chicken noodle soup was clearly homemade and had absolutely amazing flavors to it, kinda felt like my mom cooked it. As for the lobster roll, it had the perfect amount of lobster and flavor with the bun and was toasted to perfection! Sure is nice to leave a restaurant with a big smile and a full stomach… Two thumbs up to the owners of this place and the staff, you guys rock!

We went here for the first time today and were delighted! My husband had the best omelette he had ever had, cooked to perfection with perfect ingredients(the Spanish). I had yummy Asparagus Benedict, which was also yummy. Even though it’s a little further than several local options, this will definitely be our go-to choice. And we can’t wait to try lunch and dinner!

This place is so good my boyfriend and I ate here three mornings in a row while camping at Black Rock. The service was great and the food was delicious! We especially liked the blueberry walnut pancakes and the Spanish omelette. Would definitely come back!

This is sort of our go to restaurant when we go out to breakfast. It’s always satisfying and the portions are good. While their breakfast is what they do best the rest of the menu is really solid diner food as well. I’ve never tried the bigger dinner entrees, but I like the basics that they offer. The wait staff are all very nice and the inside is clean. I’ve been there a million times and will probably be back a million more. Nice and uncomplicated dining.

Went here for breakfast and want impressed. The food was average but we went during a slow time on a Saturday morning. We were seated and ordered our food really fast. It took 40 minutes for a breakfast sandwich, waffles, and pancakes. The waitstaff was very friendly and the prices are great otherwise. They do offer delivery, but the delivery times are a bit strange for a restaurant.

A while ago they had sold to new owners, and unfortunately the food quality had suffered. This used to be THE breakfast spot. Now, the breakfasts are average, almost bland. The burgers are decent, and the salads are goid but woukd be better if theyd get better tasting dressings. Buffalo chicken salad is what i always get but i use the dressing i have at home because thier dressing comes from a squirt bottle. It tastes like the low fat dressings old people use. The staff could use some polishing as well, theyre awkward, and always look lost.

I love this place. We have been coming here as long as I can remember. The breakfasts are enormous! You can get either traditional or shredded home fries and they have rye toast(my favorite!). My husband always gets the meat lovers omelette and is satisfied. I like to try the omelette specials. Last weekend I had the spinach, fresh mushroom and goat cheese omelette. It was really good and had a very generous amount of goat cheese. We have tried several lunch items as well. I love their grilled chicken sandwich and the husband usually has an enormous bacon cheeseburger. Worth a visit. The staff are all very friendly. And they have a cool iPad register.

I’m in Thomaston once a week(what do you mean, «why?»), and every time my friend, who lives there, and I go to Rozzi’s for breakfast. Please don’t think that means we get up early, it doesn’t matter what time it is – whenever we go, we eat breakfast. Because they’ll make you breakfast food any time, and because their breakfast food is just that freakin’ good. What folks have written about on Unilocal already I echo — the food is SO fresh. The coffee is great. Everything is made just the way you ask for it. I’m usually not a big home fries person, but the potatoes here, whether regular home fries or hash browns(ask for them well done and you’ll be really happy!), are just delicious. I’ve not had any of the lunch options, but others I know have and they like them as well — burgers, sandwiches. But perfect eggs? Fine by me. And try to find someone working there who isn’t just about the nicest person you’ll ever meet — from the owner to the wait staff to the folks doing the cooking! That’s something you notice as soon as you walk in – the vibe is just so up and positive. Even if it’s your first time going there, you feel like a regular. I’m so happy I get to go here as often as I do; if I lived in the area, I’d probably stop here every morning on my way to work. And maybe on the way home…
