Carne asada fries, carnitas burrito, and a bean and cheese burrito. The drive thru line is always long, but moves people through it quickly. Never disappointed and always get my fill and fix. This is my go to spot when I can’t decide what to eat.

Probably one of the better Mexican fast food joints that has the best carne asada fries around. The plate is loaded with fries and tons of meat. Well worth the ~$ 8. Beans are salty and are pretty good refried. Carnitas are seasoned just right, not too greasy bc they’re stove cooked, but they’re still better than most restaurants version.
Drive thru is quick and my order us always been correct.

Always on point! Always! The food I get here is better than some Mexican restaurants I have been to. You definitely get your money’s worth and sometimes more because the portions are huge! Usually go for the carne asada fries or carne asada burrito. Had the chicken chimichanga tonight and it was amazing and huge! Remember to tip! They kick ass to get food out fast! Plus even with a good tip you are still getting better food and a better deal than some restaurants!

I was hyped to try this place because my coworker mentioned it. Wasn’t sure if the meat in carne asada burrito was real meat because it was very dry and the texture was off. Never again. Not 10 minutes after eating, I threw it all up. Not just myself but my husband as well. We will not be returning.

This meat in the beef tacos was sinewy and weirdly discoloured. The top half of the meat in the taco was dark and dryer looking like it was old. The chicken taco had a very strange smell. We threw everything in the trash and went back out for takeout from a different place. Truly a disappointment.

Lol someone recommended this to me because I just moved out here from LA and was looking for authentic Mexican food relatable to home. K… Lol. Taco Star? Really? Lol it still makes me laugh that someone recommended this to me. It’s good when you’re buzzed or drunk. I guess that’s why it’s still alive and kickin’! That grey carne Asada though… Lol

Good food

The portion sizes are large but the food isn’t that good. I won’t be going back. The lady that was working the window wasn’t very friendly either. It was also pretty expensive for the quality of food they serve.

Carne asada burrito is where it’s at! Omg SOOO good! It was jam packed with flavorful tender meat. There’s no filler, and no fatty meat like other places, just well seasoned tender meat, pico, and guac. The burrito is huge and worth the money, took me 3 sittings to finish every last delicious bite!

Great egg & chorizo burritos. Good authentic Mexican food. Must have their great steak nachos.

Fucken delicious the best food in the world oh my god they are fast and cheap got the super nachos so much meat and so good also tortas and the carne Asada fries! My goodness!!! Bomb as fuck!

If I’m rating the service I would say they did a great job, they were very friendly. But the food is not good at all. Someone suggested this place and mentioned it’s like fast food but a bit better. I don’t like Taco Bell but I think Taco Bell has better flavor then this place. just saying. I did not go in expecting much but I was a bit surprised how many people like it. It’s not Taco Bell and it’s not authentic it’s somewhere in the middle. But not good, I won’t be back.

Went through the drive thru. Order to fish tacos and a bean burrito. It made me sick. Had bad diarrhea that night.

Don’t, just don’t. Maybe it was because it’s a holiday, maybe they had too much food left over from yesterday.
I had 2 beef tacos ($ 2.50 ea) they were the worst I’ve ever had. The shell was stale, the meat was OLD, it was crammed with lettuce, some meat and that’s it.
Can’t believe I’m saying this but Taco Bell is gourmet compared to this place.

Was a bit skeptical at first but that didn’t last long. Ordered the carnita tacos, a chile Colorado burrito, and a chorizo burrito. All were amazing. They give you at least 20 salsas.

So I came here because one my my family class mate girls works here and several girls told me the foods is really good, cheap and ²⁴⁄₇! Uh yeah, it’s right up my ally after drinking for the past few hours in Lodo and midnight munchies hit me. Gave hubby a choice, we could stop to get a nice bottle wine on the way home or he could take me to this place. Well we opted for this tasty late night meal. My girls were right, this place is good!
I had the super Nachos — I loved how they give you a Ton of steak meat. It’s soo hearty, juicy and good! Absolutely delicious and I couldn’t finish it.
Carnitas Burrito — this was Huge and super good! It was super filled/​stuffed with meat.
Asada taco plate — this was pretty good, but my least favorite. I think it’s because the Burrito and nachos were the «star» pun intended of this show. lol
Wish this place wasn’t so far from where I live, but it’s worth the drive especially since it’s opened like ALWAYS and they get your order to you fast!

So much for breakfast. Wont be back which sucks, cause I work right across the street.

I checked out Taco Star yesterday for the first time. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the location is a previous Good Times outlet, so beware that outside seating is limited to 4 or 5 umbrella tables, along with the mainstream drive-​thru and walk-​up window services. Being open ²⁴⁄₇ in this neck of the woods is an automatic star in itself.
The menu looked very extensive, with many of the traditionals including tortas in the mix. I went with two grilled chicken tacos, which were very nicely stuffed, and included side orders of both red and green sauce. I haven’t encountered too many places that offer fried flour (vs. corn) taco shells, so that was a good switch.
Great for the most part, but my reasons for 4 stars only:
1. The place was packed with drive-​thru customers and walk-​up window patrons — usually a good sign that things are busy, but the three people they had working inside during this peak lunch shift were a bit slow putting things out.
2. Something tasted a bit off in the grilled chicken tacos. Couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but I think it might have been some spoiled sour cream.
3. I’ve had slightly better authentic Mexican food elsewhere.
All in all, a good visit, and I’ll definitely be back to try some more of the menu items.

In a pinch… This place is a great late night/​post party stop. Dee-​lish. Service is great but a bit slow (can you blame them… They lack space!) they are open 24 hours so if you’re starving at 3am… this is the place to go! Salsas not the spiciest… but the meats are flavorful and the Horchata is spot on! No seating inside so it’s def a good drive by option for eating on the run… It’s cheap/​fresh/​relatively fast and servings are pretty decent. I always grab a burrito … Which is perfect for eating while driving… And a Horchata. Perfect combo for late night snacking! You won’t regret it!

I give them credit for being 24hrs. But my 1^st visit is my last visit. I ordered chili cheese fries and got an order of fries with cheese and their green salsa we came here because chubbys closed 5 minutes earlier and this was a last resort for late night Mexican Drive Thru food. Shoulda gone to TK! Follow your gut not what’s convenient! Hey at least my dogs like it.
