Wow! It’s Waffle House, I know. But man… is the prerequisite to working here being absolutely clueless and struggling just to function? I haven’t decided if the cook is a meth addict or mentally disabled. Why would you cook the fastest thing first and leave it to sit on the counter until you’ve finished the item that takes longest to cook that you started last? Not mention forgetting one item all together! Probably the longest I’ve waited for a to-go order in a long time. Not to mention everyone was mean and rude to each other. Although it was probably the frustration from the blind leading the blind(or addicted, I haven’t decided yet). The food was ok, but it’s the Waffle House so I wasn’t expecting much. I’d say you get what you pay for, but $ 12 for breakfast isn’t all that cheap!!!

Wow, Waffle House with no variety of waffles or any toppings and pretty much had nothing to do with them. So extremely disappointed The food that we did have was ok.

I love Waffle House, however this particular one, I will never go to again. The place is disgustingly dirty. The staff is far from friendly. They are very inappropriate with the things they talk about out loud for everyone to hear. The waitress that we had, should have washed her hands on more than one occasion, but failed to. She instead kept serving and picking up silverware and cups, etc with visibly dirty hands. I promise I will never come back to this location again.

Love waffle house but everytime I’ve been to this one(around 4 pm) the employees are all outside smoking and say they are closed!? If you want a job where you get paid to smoke and do nothing apparently this is the place. And if federal minimum wage hits 15 $ an hour, jackpot!

Friendly staff. Clean. Save your money & make a eggo waffles at home because that’s what they serve. Hash browns were very greasy. Won’t be going again.

Encourage everyone to watch the Bön appetit 24 hours at Waffle House. 24⁄7 diner/counter that deserves more respect. Always welcomed with a friendly smile and hello. Menu is intuitive with pictures of their signature items then allows you to customize hash browns. Started with a waffle for the table which is always enjoyable at any breakfast location. Not as fluffy as some I have had in the past but just as flavorful when margarine and syrup are applied. Also enjoyed a cup of regular coffee which doesn’t require cream or sugar to enjoy. 2 scrambled and smothered covered with chunks hash browns. Watching everything be prepared as well as other orders always builds up my appetite. Food was solid, service was friendly and fast, and received a warm goodbye on the way out.

You really don’t know how much you miss a Waffle House until you realize it is the middle of the night, you are starving(and this is sober too mind you), and you when the words«Waffle House» to your Bay Area employees they look at you with a funny face and they respond with«what is that?». Knowing I would be «home»(I love how my bosses joke with me now every time I go to Denver I am going on vacation, and that Oakland is now«home») for an extra day, I decided it would be in my best interest to soak up as much Waffle House as I could before I return to the West Coast. I know it has been at least 2 months, since I am no longer«duke» or even a «regular». But when I walked in and took a seat @ 0600 yesterday morning, one of my favorite servers(Michelle) remembered me, asked how I was, and pretended like the last time I was there was the day before. I did tell her I have been travelling more than I ever have, and I apologized for not being able to make it more often! I try to avoid coming here in the post club/bar hours, as I have seen some absolutely mind boggling patrons here at that time, but 5−6AM seems to be just perfect– like they are getting ready for the day to «begin». I rarely deviate from my usual, which is a Texas bacon cheesesteak melt(double meat), large hashbrowns(all the way), and a Vanilla Coke. Breakfast doesn’t get much better than that. And, even with the amount of food and unhealthiness this meal provides, I have never(knock on wood) have gotten sick from eating it as a result. Sometimes, if I DO deviate, I will add a waffle on to the order– but to me, that is just borderline gluttony(as if what I already order isn’t). I live in downtown Denver, and this is the closest location(it is about 10 – 15 minute drive) to where I live, but it is an easy zip up I-25. And, it is well worth it, because I am always welcome here with open arms and I am never disappointed with my food when they serve it. If I leave Denver, I will truly miss this location!

Been waiting 10 minutes for a table. There are 7 tables with dirty plates on them. There are 9 employees. What the hell. Update: All of the employees are bickering about who has to do the dishes. I had to ask someone to hand me my food because it was just sitting on the counter so long. Never got my gravy, which is pretty much the reason I came in. I need a refill on my coffee but I literally don’t have a server.

My husband and I have gone here a few times. If you want a tasty, quick, cheap breakfast then this is your place. The staff is always friendly and on point. We will be back!

I don’t understand why Waffle House is so popular. The waffles actually are reminiscent of hard crunchy little manhole covers. Need I say more?

The hash browns are amazing! I always go smothered, chunked, and diced. Always very busy, but definitely worth the wait. Want to try the chicken and waffles next!

BEWARE: You are not welcome here! We are new to the area, and walked in at 2 pm in the afternoon, 3 tables full and maybe 6 patrons at the counter – not too busy. A waitress brushed past us and rudely said ‘EXCUSEME!’(These would be the only words spoken to us in the 20 minutes we were inside.) We got our own highchair for my 6 month old daughter, and sat ourselves at the counter. We had to reach over for our own menu, and took our time deciding what we’d like to order, then we waited… and waited… and waited. No one greeted us. No one said they’d be right with us. No one took our order. No one even LOOKED at us! There were 3 employees eating: 2 at the counter, one standing – everyone on break??? It seemed that everyone knew each other, and it was clear that if we were not regulars, we were NOTWELCOME. After 10 minutes, I started to feel uncomfortable. After 15, frustrated and weird – no one would even make eye contact with us. A waitress walked right in front of us at least a dozen times, and helped those around us – not us. After 20 minutes, we got up and left. No one even raised an eyebrow. I’ve eaten at Waffle House in other places before, and usually have good food, and good service. Let me be clear: This location is different. STAYAWAY!!!

Thought I’d update this review since I’ve been back in a few times since my initial visit. The preparation problems that existed the first time have not become a recurring theme. The portions are always generous and the night crew seems to enjoy their work. There’s not much else to say – its a well-known greasy spoon with a limited menu that helps them prepare the majority of those menu items properly. Lemonade doesn’t come out of a fountain and instead uses a mix. It seemed to be very weak flavor wise.

Took them a while to take my order when I first arrived. The place was not even busy at all when I got there for them not to take my order. The food was amazing as always. But waiting to get my check took for ever. Not only that but I had to get up and ask for a refill on my drinks. I got over charged when it came to my bill. The food was good but customer service needs some work badly. The waitress we had was just try a run out the door even tho her shift wasn’t even over Hire better employees

Waffle House is the most underrated restaurant of all time. Delicious, fast, cheap food that will leave you craving. If I lived closer or drove I would come here ALL of the time. This beats any of the pretentious brunch places in Denver, minus the fact that they don’t serve alcohol. You will also have a hard time spending more than $ 10.

The staff didn’t act in a professional manner. Depending on who’s cooking determines the quality of food you will get. A couple times i have gone the gravy was a tad too watery for me. But other times i have gone the food was high quality. But if you are looking for a late night snack this is the place for you.

I am a Waffle House fan. Especially for that midnight snack. Today we are driving from Phoenix to Fort Collins, its late, been driving all day and now starving. Bree who was also our server greeted us. She advised the cook«stepped out» and asked us to be patient since she now had become the waitress and cook. A man walked in right after us so she took care of him because we weren’t ready. After she was done cooking his food and she ran over to our table. I think her cooking was the best I’ve had at a Waffle House. The eggs were cooked perfect(which is not often) and so was everything else. The coffee was fresh and the restaurant looked clean minus my spoon that looked like someone cleaned it in their mouth. So kudos to Bree for rollin’ with it and taking charge. Scattered and Smothered!

Never bad, never good. On a Sunday morning hangover recovery you can’t beat waffle house. If you are serious about something more, move on to a VI or Denny’s.

Wow. As I recently moved to Colorado from the east coast, I thought Waffle House was all over — it was awesome being able to grab one last meal there on the way to the airport. So, I was pretty blown away when I saw the Pearl Street location here in Thornton… I though the franchise stopped its locations somewhere around Texas, but I guess I was mistaken. Just as good as all the east locations, with the only difference I saw being the thatched red roof outside. I got the opportunity to get the first serving of that big ass pot of grits that were cooking when I first walked in, along with my mainstream pecan waffle, bacon/chicken/cheese sandwich, and large order of jalapeño hash browns. Definitely recommend. Gotta love it.

Ok. As someone born and raised in the sweet sunny south, I grew up with my scattered smothered and covered, spent my high school years drinking gallons of coffee and Bert’s chili, basically lived at the Waffle House on Hwy 41 in Kennesaw GA. This Waffle House is an imposter. It’s passable but not quite the same. The food is OK if you’ve never been to one in the South. I’m sure it’s all the same stuff out of the bag and freezer and what-not it’s just not been cooked right when I’ve eaten there. I suspect they need more butter or cooking lesson from Paula Deen. If you’re a southern transplant to Colorado and need your fix this place will get you over the hump.
