The Egg & I

Tremendous service from host to server. Chelsea was attentive and gracious. The food was crisp, and delicious. Potatoes were a tad bit salty after a few, but fine nonetheless. Kale cooler is nice alternative to the usual list of juices. And probably healthy.

Everything was quick and delicious. The booths kinda suck because they are wooden but the food more than makes up for it. I got le corde onbleu and a side if ranch potatoes. The potatoes themselves were the best part. Next time i got im just going to get those and some eggs.
Hubby got eggs Benedict with crab cakes i forgot what they called it. He said it was fantastic. I thought it was too fishy.
My son had some delicious French toast.
Very cheap food, and very tasty. They had a whole pencil box of pencils for my son which definitely kept him busy.
The pecan coffee is nice because all you really need is a little cream
Over all pretty good. The server was very nice. Definitely coming back

My wife and I ate there yesterday and it was awesome! The pancake is amazing, and both the potatoes and eggs (ordered over-​medium) were cooked perfect. Very friendly staff too!

I went there this morning and I ordered the banana and strawberry waffles witch was so good and side order of bacon yum. And the hot chocolate was good with whipped cream an sprinkles, the service was good and the waiter was friendly. So I enjoyed it, best breakfast in Thornton

This is my go-​to breakfast place, and I am not a breakfast fan at all. I love eating here because there are a lot of creative options beyond the breakfast standards. The rest of my family loves breakfast and they can find great options here as well. My favorites are the frittatas and the chile rellenos. Expect a long wait on the weekend but totally worth it. They also have a big kids menu and give out colored pencils and toys for the kids.

Love love love this place and the staff. People are always friendly and the place is always busy so that’s a good sign right? Our waitress today was Alyssa and she was prompt and got us our food in 15 mins! We always come here for Sunday breakfast.

I made the mistake of judging this book by its cover. After walking inside I discovered this restaurant has a cozy, homestyle interior with a unique and refreshing menu!

I love this particular location, the food is always on target and delicious. They are always willing to work around my food allergies to make sure I get to enjoy all the deliciousness.

I’m kind of mad at myself that I’m a local and I’ve never even heard of this place. It’s charming, delicious, and close to home.
Our server was super nice (damn me for not remembering her name) and was very attentive. I love that when they bring out coffee, they bring out an entire carafe so you can enjoy your coffee exactly they way you like it. They also have a variety of flavored coffees to choose from as well, if you’re usually a Starbucks snob like yours truly. ;)
The menu is huge, but everything is cooked fresh and tastes delicious, so it’s not a compromise on choice vs. taste. (Which is super important to me! I hate it when restaurants have ridiculously huge menus.) They also have some interesting twists on traditional breakfasts to try out, if you’re feeling adventurous.
I also loved the general décor, which was charmingly kitschy. Both of my grandmothers have passed, so it was like sitting in their kitchen again. Not everyone loves that kinda décor, but I did!
Now that I’ve discovered this place, I’ll be back often!

When you order a cup of coffee, they bring you out an entire carafe to enjoy, so no waiting for the waitress to back and see if you need a refill.
There are also a variety of flavored coffees to choose from.
The server was super friendly, and our food came out fast.
I will definitely be back to try their pineapple coconut pancakes!!!

My husband and I eat here almost every weekend. Friendly fast service. Food is delicious, hot and fresh. Tons of breakfast items. We really love this place!

The egg and I is very homey and delicious. I love the Cobb salad with the chicken apple walnut sandwich! Yum! The pancakes and syrup don’t have a lot of sugar in them with is kind of different from what I am used to. I’d actually prefer them a little sweeter. The service was great every time I’ve gone there besides today. Their were a group of girl waiters sitting at a table «folding napkins» while they were all looking at a phone and laughing and joking. I don’t think they knew people could see them through the window.

Fantastic place. Such good food and amazing service. I recommend to anyone who is a fan of breakfast.

I love this place. Service is prompt and friendly. Food is delicious. Its a chain so don’t expect character but do expect tasty food, great coffee and great service. I always get the Parisian Benedict with extra crispy potatoes. Yum!

I used to love this place; the friendly atmosphere, employees, cute décor. The hostess always smiled, the waiters were fast and friendly.
The last few times I’ve co, e here I have been very disappointed.
The hostess is still friendly (she’s been here forever) and she is the only reason for the 2 stars instead of none.
The waiter (Jr) sucked, and I mean sucked with a capital S. As my friend and I were ordering, he would interrupt us when his question is what we were saying if he would have listened. He had a «I hate my job» attitude. I ordered a side of white toast with my breakfast and he asked me what kind of toast. He brought our meals out without the toast and it was almost 15 minutes later did the toast came. The waffle I had was very flavorless, no butter on it or on the side, I had to order that separate and that took another 5
minutes, by the time it came out the waffle was cold. The eggs came out a bit over cooked and the bacon looked like it was sitting for a while.
Oh, and the bus lady would sit down and clear the table. She sat behind me cleaning that table and because of the way the booths are made she was rocking me. I
spilt my coffee a few times by how much moving around she did.
And the coffee was the only food thing about the meal.
I really hope they shape up. I’d hate not dining there, but it will be a while before I return.

This place really surprised me!!! The cambridge skillet was so delicious & the staff was great. I went to this location twice in one week and if I would of had the chance I would have went more. Hoping to find a location back home.

So packed every time, but of course, worth the wait. Skillets are great! Their potatoes are awesome. Good service

Our families favorite place to have breakfast and the best coffee at a breakfast place on my side of Denver. Raquel & I share usually what ever entry we get here. Staff is very friendly and we have never had a bad meal. If your going to stop in invite us to join ya… Lol

Fast service and great food on a Sunday. kind of expensive. 8.99 for the sunrise relleno and 8.59 for the viva la France. We drank water because their soda was 2.49. Very tasty though. I ate the viva but took bites off the sunrise. Sorry took a pic of the sunrise. Relleno but have no idea where it went.: (

Good service, yummy food– typical breakfast joint atmosphere. Delicious daily/​seasonal coffee flavors!

The food at the Egg and I is pretty good. I don’t eat pork, and they don’t have a lot of options available for the sauce (green chili is pork). So I get smothered in Salsa for some of the mexican fare. It is okay, but it is not over the top good. I do like that I can get get egg whites, and they do a good job not over cooking the eggs.
The one thing about this location that makes it not so spectacular is the service. Have you ever seen people who look like they are working hard, but they are actually working too hard? They can’t seem to multitask and take one thing at a time. So the service is not good. The food is alright. For that I give it an A-​ok.

Fast and delicious, nothing could be finer (than, maybe, to be in Carolina)…
We got here Sunday morning just before the church/​full-​on brunch crowd showed up. I highly recommend that. We waited 5 – 10 minutes, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a line that’s 30 – 40 minutes during major meal times. And, really, I’m not sure I’d actually wait that long. But that’s not about Egg & I, that’s just normal hunger pains.
I ordered a skillet, my friend ordered an omelet. Hers was covered in hollandaise sauce, mine in green chile. Seriously, this is one of the best meals (and possibly the best breakfast) I’ve had in Denver since I moved here.
Not sure what could be wrong with this place. I couldn’t get over the cuteness of the «shabby chic» décor or the Colorado Rockies shirts everywhere. I guess for the last reason alone, some people might give it a 4 star rating (go PIT!)

Pretty solid little diner.
Stopped in for breakfast and had a pretty decent comfort breakfast with Green Chile and scramble. Nothing to write home about, but if you need some breakfast before church giver er’ a whirl.
