My good friend brought me here on Sunday and it was amazing! I had the shrimps rancheros, which were delicious. She had the chicken burrito special, which also looked great.

Let me start by saying that I’m a frequent customer here and I’ve had pleasant experiences each time, yummy food and good customer service. Until this evening… It’s really too bad I came here tonight to find that due to a «pretty recent, new change», none of our menu items ordered came with chips. They are now $ 3 bucks and some change. :-(When asked why,(because my Quinoa salad that I have ordered before that indeed came with chips before) the gentleman behind the counter informed me that due to the cost of their salsa and such… that it pretty much balances out the cost of their chips when they include them in certain orders. Huh?! Dude! Not including complimentary chips, especially when we placed an order for $ 45 bucks, is completely nutso. You have a complimentary salsa bar with a lovely array of options. But no chips?! To the one in charge of making this decision, you might want to rethink this one.

I started going to Snapper Jacks in Ventura. It was fabulous but I have to say that this location(Thousand Oaks) doesn’t seem to be as good as there other locations. The food doesn’t seem as fresh and when I order burritos they always seem to miss an ingredient. While I really do like snapper jacks overall –this location missed the secret ingredient to great.

There is much better Mexican food to be had in TO… Honestly we prefer Sharky’s to this place and it’s always soooo crowded.

In my experience it’s quite rare to come across a taco shop that serves really good crunchy tacos, these guys do. When describing a taco I think one must start from the shell going in, cause without a good shell you may as well not be eating a taco. Their tortillas are light and flakey, and fall apart at the same time, and extremely delicious. Most importantly my hand was not covered in grease every time I picked it up to take a bite. They have great steak covered in a nice dry rub with a tasty«house sauce.» simple but tasty.

Not even good enough to be called mediocre food. Got half way through the Fajita Burrito only to find a piece of plastic inside. They also did not give me juice for my child’s meal. Crispy tacos were soggy.

Really yummy! I especially liked the horchata. My chicken enchiladas were delicious and all of the food I saw coming out around me looked very good too. Very quick, fairly cheap, easy parking — all around great place for a casual lunch or dinner.

I’ve dropped by Snapper Jack’s Wack Taco Shack over the years, but just recently I started to dig it more than the past experiences. I use to drop by this place maybe once every two months to munch on the Vegetarian Burrito, 86 roasted potatoes and add the chubby taco potato filling. In the past I had tried the potato taco combo plate, but I recently re-discovered it and it now has me coming back more often. The Secret Shack Sauce really brings the tacos to the next level. Slap a little habanero sauce on those bad boys and you’re good to go. The taco is accompanied by the standard rice, beans, and some colorful dipping chips. The portions on the combo plates are spot on and I typically go with the single taco as its filling enough. I’ve always received good customer service at this location. The place is always kept neat, but sometimes the salsa bar can get a little cray. It looks like it has been pillaged and they should probably spiff it up more often. You know they can with how many workers they have on hand. 3.5 — Will return for taco.

This place has great fish tacos. I recommend trying both the crispy shell and hard shell battered fish tacos. They have a salsa bar with lots of variety and unique salsas.

I came here for the first time and was impressed by the selection. I ordered a battered fish taco and it came with chips and you can grab salsa, all for under $ 5! It definitely filled my stomach and I was satiated. The food came out fast and there was so much cheese and cabbage. I saw the taco salads. They are pretty big! Anyway, it is pretty decent Mexican food at a good price.

I am still basking in the glory that is the«Cancun Burrito.» I wish I could give this place 6 stars. I’ve eaten hundreds of burritos in my life and nothing even remotely compares to this spectacular creation. Crab, shrimp, rice, avocado and a special sauce. All of the flavors stood out so well and complimented each other perfectly. Plus, this is a locally owned small business. #supportsmallbusiness Snapper Jack’s…you have stolen my heart. God bless the sweet guardian of taste who concocted this delicious creation.

Let me start with the fact that I’ve been coming to Snapper Jacks for about 10 years now. I get the same thing every time but I approach my assault with a simple strategy and precession!!! Service: always someone friendly behind the counter n a really laid back environment Décor: Beach/Surfer furniture. They got old surf videos running all day on the TVS. Parking: Can get pretty bad here. gotta watch out for all the oldies going to eggs n things next door. They’ll side swipe you like a visa. You’ve been warned Food: ok their hard shell tacos are Bombay. They’re made in house. I only get chicken and trust me all you’ll need is 2 if you do it right. Additions from the salsa bar: Shack sauce(creamy white goodness), green(avocado salsa), jalapeños, and limes. The goal is to stuff your tacos with these amazing items and drop it on the chips they give you once your all done you have nachos!!! YOURWELCOME!!! Happy eating

One of my favorite lunch spots. Friendly customer service, great salsa bar, and great food. Good location, too! I normally order the Jack’s Combo with a steak taco and a fish taco. The crunchy tortilla shell makes it extra tasty! And the shack sauce is always yummy :) The chips are fresh and they have a lot of different types of salsa to choose from which is nice. Great rice to go along with the tacos. The best part about Snapper Jack’s is that it’s so cheap! You get 2 huge tacos with rice, beans(I don’t like beans so I get extra rice), and chips with unlimited salsa for about $ 8! Great deal. I’ll keep coming back here and recommending it to my friends :)

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here! There’s ample seating inside and outside the premise and a good vibe. He ordered a Snapper Jack combo of 2 shrimp tacos that came with rice/beans/chips and I ordered the Taco Salad($ 9.00) with steak(1.75 extra). Only 4 stars because the combo order didn’t come with a drink :/. We had to pay extra for one. While we were waiting for the order, we helped ourselves to the salsa bar which had 10 or so different kinds of salsa and pico de gallo. Our food came out about 8 minutes later and we loved it. The shrimp tacos were delicious– shrimp had a really good buttery taste. The taco salad had a huge taco shell and a large helping of lettuce/beans/guac/sour cream/etc. We will definitely be back soon :)

I’m not sure why I always thought Snapper Jacks only sold fish type dishes. It wasn’t until my co-worker suggested this for lunch that I realized they had other selections. The line was long when we first arrived but due to the speedy people at the register the line went quick. I ordered a chicken taco and steak taco with rice and refried beans. I went to get my drink and peruse the many salsas they offered and was surprised at how quickly my order was called. LOVE the crispy taco shells… they aren’t too hard and break all over but they have the right amount of crunch. I’m not sure what the sauce is that they put on the tacos but its delicious. I only felt the need to add salsa because I wanted some heat. I liked the steak taco better than the chicken… guess I’m a red meat kind of gal. But the chicken wasn’t too bad either. For a quick bite to eat on a time crunch, this is the place to go!

Not sure why it took me so long to try Snapper Jack’s but I’m glad that I finally have! For some odd reason I thought the main entrees offered here were fish tacos. Now that I’ve eaten here twice it’s quite clear Snapper Jack’s has a menu that will satisfy almost everyone. Yes, the fish and shrimp tacos are excellent but don’t shy away from the enchiladas. However, my favorite item on the menu thus far are the steak nachos! Served in a aluminum dish that’s the nachos are prepared in, the cheese, beans, and steak are quite plentiful. SJ’s does a great job layering the ingredients/toppings in a way that every chip has some bite of flavor. Added bonus to SJ’s is the great selections of complimentary salsa from the salsa bar. One taco a la carte includes a good handful of chips. So for under $ 5 you can get a tasty, good sized fish taco and plenty of chips and salsa to fill your lunch time hunger. So I’m pretty stoked that I discovered Snapper Jack’s. I definitely will be coming back and become a regular. Solid 4 stars for SJ’s!

This was the first time I have ever been here and it was delicious. My wife ordered the chicken burrito and I ordered the grilled snapper burrito. The cashier is full of energy and it was a pleasure coming here and enjoying the atmosphere. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant hungry because the burritos are huge!

Food: Fish at a fast food sort of place tends be a bit ify, but this place has me hooked. The fish here taste fresh not like it got thrown in a microwave to thaw out. They smother their tacos in a tangy cream sauce; I like them better with lettuce rather than cabbage. I like the refried beans, but I’m crazy about the rice. Customer Service: The guy who helped me was great. I had 2 of my kids with me and ordering was chaos but he was patient and friendly. Usually they call out your number and you go to the counter to get your food. But he could see I was struggling to keep my little maniacs in their chairs, remembered my number and brought my food to the table.
