Not wild about the ordering process. However, the pizza rocks! One of the best around…

Once you get past the fact there’s no table service(order/pay upon arrival) this is a pretty neat place. Decent amount of parking in the strip mall. Good food, friendly employees. Prices are reasonable. I had the babyback ribs which were good(but not great). My wife gets the tri-tip steak which is very good. The mashed potatoes are pretty popular but I didn’t find them exceptional. Overall, Stonefire is a very popular takeout restaurant for a reason: the food is good, but the ambiance and lack of table service makes it better at home. 4 stars overall.

We just had Stonefire cater our wedding and they were AMAZING!!! The food was incredible(as always), but I was even more blown away with their customer service. The catering crew were friendly and very attentive and the manager, Jacob, did our tasting and helped us choose what to order and made it so easy and fun! And the food and portions were beyond what we could have hoped for. I cannot say enough!!!

The perfect place for catering… we order about once a month for work. Usually we get the tri tip, bbq chicken, mashed potatos, breadsticks, chopped salad, and always add the tray of mac n cheese. They don’t even have to tell us when it gets there because the smell of that bbq sauce fills the whole office… They should sell that stuff in pints. I may or may not hide the extra one to take home with me!

The food is great but what is subpar is the service. Only received a part of my order and couldn’t get anyone’s attention to get the rest, unless I walked into the kitchen. 20 minutes later and I still can’t get one server to walk by. 25 minutes pass and one walks by, says sorry about the missing part and it will be up in a minute. Fail. Meal is over. What’s the point.

This Stonefire experience was a complete 180 from last week’s visit at the Northridge location. We were greeted as soon as we sat down at a table and the staff repeatedly checked on us. Almost all staff members were as AMAZING as the food! One of the staff members even cleared the table before serving us the BEYONDAMAZING brownie. We asked for a to go box from a staff member and waited a bit for her to return but then realized that the supply was at the back of the restaurant(she did not tell us this but simply said OK to our request) for a box. So we grabbed one and on our way out Evon asked us if we needed a bag. How SOVERYNICE of him! He put the to go box in the bag and wished us an awesome day and weekend! Needless to say, I’ll be going back to THIS location!

I really wanted to like this place, but the service makes me bump down my rating. Let me start off by saying that it is a very nice, well maintained, clean environment, not to mention interesting — you order up at the front, find a seat, and they have drinks where you fill up on your own. I ordered a bbq chicken pizza — it was very good. However when I asked for ranch, the waitress rudely turned her head as if I didn’t exist. I asked three more times, and when I finally got it 15 minutes later my food was getting cold. As I also was getting up to refill my drink, the waitress(same one from before) shut the door leading inside right in my face — now I could understand if she was carrying food, but her hands were empty and I was right behind her before she practically slammed it in my face — not very good customer service. I think I would like to eat here again, as I very much enjoyed the food and setting, though the staff definitely needs to work on their people skills. 3⁄5

Great value for the money. Have been here several times and never been disappointed. Love the tri-tip, chicken, mashed potato and of course the breadsticks. The salads are great as well.

Placed an online order, ended up waiting 30 mins at the counter for my food. The reason was because they were behind on bread?! So I’ve got cold food, I’m 30 minutes late but at least my bread’s hot! Not acceptable.

For the price, I really don’t think this place can be beat. This restaurant is very cheap for the quality of meat they serve, and the service is on point. I can’t speak to any of the other stonefire locations, but the westlake village/Thousand Oaks one is an exceptional establishment. As far as the food goes, try the«taste of stonefire». This will give you a taste of their tri-tip, BBQ baby back ribs, and their chicken. All three are awesome and delicious, but the tri tip is what really makes this place special. I highly recommend ordering it medium rare(slightly pink). The bread, served free with every meal, is also super addicting and something I’m obsessed with! If you haven’t been, go now! This is a great place to get an affordable, high-quality, delicious meal.

Love love love Stonefire Grill! They have fantastic lunch specials I ordered the petite chicken with salad and a breadstick which was awesome! Our order was ready in no time and they deliver your food right to your table. You place your order with the server at the front counter and then go find a table. Once that buzzer goes off they bring it to you! The chicken was so flavorful with garlic, lemon, and parsley. The Ceasar salad and breadstick was also packed with so much flavor. My friends were all very happy with their choices and we are planning our next lunch date there. The location is perfect and the restaurant is huge with even an outdoor patio. My only complaint was that it was really loud and hard to hear eachother, but hardly an issue when the food and price is that good! Check it out asap!

I can’t believe I have not written a review for this place yet! I have been coming to this location for years. The food is great and the customer service is fantastic. I love the BBQ chopped salad, and their tri-tip is amazing. Their quinoa is also amazing and so is their mashed potatoes. Also, the Breadsticks are out of this world so good. Everything here is fairly priced my work gets catering from here all the time and it’s always so good. Highly recommended.

This is a fast casual restaurant that has a great variety of menu options. Everything from salads to sandwiches, BBQ meats and pizza. The salad portions are out of control– the small is big enough to share. Everything we have tried at this place is great– you really can’t go wrong by giving this place a try for lunch or dinner.

Food: Almost always amazing. Sometimes I do find their seasonal soups to be nasty(like the butternut squash, dont get it!) and their pizzas can be oily. But generally speaking, their specials and normal menu items are just a great selection if you can’t think of any other place to eat. We went here three times in one week just because they have so many items to choose from. Service: Very helpful and overly accommodating. Other locations are not as helpful as Thousand Oaks, but you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in tonight and was wowed again by fast, helpful service on all fronts. Even though there was a bit of a line, it was quick and efficient.(We walked into the one on Fallbrook just prior to coming to the TO location tonight and left because the line was unorganised, out the door, and not moving.) Our dinner came quickly and was great as usual. :) the Tri tip is always a favourite, and we paired it with a chopped garden salad tonight-fantastic! Love this location in particular-because it has a great patio shaded by a beautiful tree and has a pretty fireplace. It’s a smaller restaurant, but it makes up for it with winning service and style!

Update on my previous reviews! I had the pleasure of super counter service from Jules and great phone service, complete with a sense of humor, from Jacob. Unfortunately, though all the food was prepared beautifully, the packaging this time really fell short, and the lemon garlic chicken breast dinner leaked all over everything. I called the restaurant, spoke to a second Jacob, also very nice, who gave me to manager Ryan. Ryan could NOT have been nicer OR more accommodating, patiently listening to my complaint and also taking care of the dinner, which was a greasy disaster! I should add that it is not that the food is greasy, it is the olive oil in the marinade which had covered everything, soaked the breadsticks, and made a real mess. Because this had happened before, I had warned the order takers about it so they could make sure it didn’t leak. That’s why I was so frustrated and decided enough was enough! I posted a pic of the inside of the bag. I am truly pleased that Ryan was willing to go the extra mile to accommodate a regular customer, and in my book, that kind of management makes this a 5 star restaurant! Plus the food is gooooood! :-)

Counter ordering for dinner & drinks. If it’s busy someone will come by, take your name & reserve a table while you order. After ordering for in house dining, locate the area with plates & napkins, grab what you need, then get your table. Runners bring your food. Service was quick & my salad actually came before the main course. I ordered chicken breast with lemon garlic sauce and tri tip. Wonderfully juicy and tender, perfectly cooked. My husband ordered ¼ chicken and baby backs, again perfectly cooked. Down side was that both plates were at room temp. Not a major flaw though. Atmosphere was great, fireside seating inside, as well as fires outside which can be seen through the windows. Very comfortable & relaxing, especially for what might be considered fast food. Beer & wine only but great selections.

My go to place for picking up food when people come over and I don’t want to cook! Great value for what you get! I had 12 people over on the weekend and it was a way better price value to purchase two of the Crowd Pleasers than to buy everything in the market and cook it myself! Love love love their nutty coleslaw salad and mashed potatoes! The kids love their mac n cheese! Tri-tip and chicken are always cooked right! I also use them for work dinners when the team of 20+ works late! They come set everything up with the serving utensils, plates, utensils, etc. So easy!!!

Stonefire is still my go-to choice for a healthful meal to go. I usually alternate between the keen green and golden state kale salads, unless I’m craving pizza or salmon. Both salads are super flavorful and there’s enough for dinner and most of a lunch the next day. I eat here a LOT, and on the few occasions they’ve not gotten my order just right, they’ve gone over and above to make it right, which I love.

I haven’t eaten at Stonefire grill in a long time. Sadly this time was a bust. The pasta we ordered was mostly noodles a tiny bit of cheese and hardly any meat sauce. I’m a terrible cook and I could have done better myself. Maybe they should stop doing pasta and stick to what they are familiar with.

This is a pretty nice Stonefire location. Spacious, clean and well maintained, nice staff and the food comes out quickly. Prices are pretty high and the protein portions pretty small. I enjoyed my salmon and my husband his tri tip as well. Salads are very generous, we shared the small and it was plenty. Good, but not worth rushing back to.

Update on previous review. The restaurant/food is still wonderful. Our biggest issues was with the catering portion. The help provided, the servers did not empty trash as was in the agreement, and scraped plates into a bucket of water rather than the trash and then dousing them in the water bucket. They couldn’t wait to get out of there. I was sadly disappointed that they were doing their work to the bare minimum to get out as soon as possible, even though we paid the extra rinsing /clean up costs. I would still recommend for catering, but stay diligent with who you have there with the clean up portion.

What the hell? I’m pretty sure I wrote a review for this place. But apparently not?! I’ve been here more times than I can count. Why you ask? it’s by far the best chain BBQ around here. I’ve had mostly everything on the menu here. But I’ll write about the ones worth writing about. This place is purchase at front and seat yourself. You still have a waiter/waitress come by and ask how the food is. Or if you want another drink etc. But they take your order up front. Then you get a number and put it on your table. The seating here is great and has many options with booths and tables. The outside seating is nice and shaded. They also have outside heaters. The price is slightly high. But for it’s geographical location it makes sense I suppose. Anyways… moving onto the food. Ribs. WOW smoked for a proper amount of time and seared on the grill perfectly. Ribs are an art and Stonefire grill knows how to do it right! The seasoning is perfect, the flavor is mouth watering and the smell is enjoyable. Chicken. The chicken is cooked perfectly. Not dry and not under cooked at all. Chicken is chicken… but they do their own thing here. It’s seasoned well and not to overpowering with any type of marinating process. It’s light and it’s good. Tri-tip. I usually get it medium rare and what do you know? it actually comes out medium rare. What a concept. Cooks in the back actually knowing how to cook?! what the?! lol. Excellent job guys! Garlic mashed potatoes. Oh em gee. YES! these are done right! finally a place that knows how to make this right. And here I was making it myself at home thinking I’m the only one who knows how to make it right? haha. If you like garlic mashed potatoes you’ll love these, can’t go wrong. All in all I’d highly recommend this place if you like BBQ. Yes it’s a chain but trust me it doesn’t taste like it. The food is excellent, the customer service is great and oh. let me tell a quick story before ending this review. I had went here once and they were out of ribs… I know a BBQ place out of ribs? wtf is that?. I went to the manager explaining to him I only come here for those. And that this is my favorite BBQ Place. He instantly took care of it and comped not only a full meal for myself but one for my girl also. AND two drinks. If that isn’t proper customer service I don’t know what is. This place is doing it right. Food: Above average Décor: Above average. New design. Staff/Customer service: Amazing, fast and professional. No complaints. Cleanliness: Very clean Bathrooms: Clean. no issues.

Now here’s a great spot for a birthday get-together for the whole family! I’ve been to the Irvine location before except I was flying high as a kite so I don’t remember too much of it hah! But upon entering the restaurant, it feels fancy here because they have lit up fireplaces and fire porches out in front of the restaurant which makes me feel cozy. The way it’s run here is you put an order for your food, get seated anywhere you want and they bring it all to you. For a family of 5, we ordered the crowd pleaser of the tri-tip, chicken and baby back ribs with a large caesar salad and 18 breadsticks(that’s a lot of breadsticks lol). We also ordered 2 sides of roasted cauliflower and garlic mashed potatoes(both yummers!) along with a bottle of smash berry wine. We chose a cozy spot in the corner of the restaurant and all the food came all at once! Everything was flavorful and more than enough for us to eat. The wine paired really nicely with the meal. I just wish the food was hotter in temperature but everything else was delicious. For drinks and water, you can help yourself with refills(which I sure did with all that wine lol). I noticed that everyone that works here look really young. Just a random thought lol Also, I signed up for their email list and I got a free dessert for my birthday so we received a generous piece of carrot cake that is made from the restaurant’s own recipe. Everything was memorable and I would like to try their bbq salad or mac n cheese next time. Love the fast-casual feel, the fireplace feel, and the BBQ food feel. Ya feel me? :D

From the medium rare tri tip to the glistening garlic covered salmon this place has it all. Also the garlic breadsticks are phenomenal and you have to try them with the gorgonzola butter spread. The tri tip meat is so deliciously prepared that you should get the peppered version.

We came here for a pick-up. Kudos! The pick-up aspect worked like a well oiled machine. The order was ready and included EVERYTHG, which can be a challenge when ordering for 15 people. I really like the Stonefire food, they make a great pizza and salad. I really like their Tri-Tip, which is sliced thin, well-cooked to my liking, and has no fat(A). I’ve eaten at various Stonefire Grills across California, they all seem to be consistently good.

I can follow directions quite well. Order at the counter, take a number, grab your drinks and plates, and they’ll bring the food to your table. Countless salads, pizzas, and meat by the pound — eeee gawd, it’s a foodies delight. I ordered the BBQ Chopped with 1 lb of tri-tip. The salad is available in 4 sizes. I went with a small(not a personal size), and up’d it to 1 lb of tri-tip from a half-pound. Glad I did, I gobble-gobbled and took a little home for the doggie. The next day and the day following, I craved a return visit. SALAD and MEAT rules! 1. BBQ Chop — not as good as BJ’s or CPK, but worthy.(4.0 stars) 2. Tri-Tip — sliced thin, well-cooked to my liking, excellent.(4.5 stars) The décor is like a chilis, but I still like it – I’m a fan. Prices are very reasonable.
