Ok second time coming here. Burger combo was 10 bucks… ouch. The food did taste good but nothing special lettuce, tomato And cheese. The burger is still is very small. Better of spending 7 bucks at in and out for a combo.

What we liked: –food is tasty and well prepared –they seem to use good quality ingredients –the restaurant is clean –the service is friendly and professional Why 3 stars only: –prices are too high for what you get –chairs are cheap and uncomfortable In conclusion, we will go back often, mainly because of the prices.

Tried Melt after many months to see if anything has improved. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre and the service is awful. I think this will be last attempt.

It was okay. The Well Dressed fries were yummy. I’ve been there, and it was fine, but I don’t see a compelling reason to return. The best thing we ate was a S’more Melt and I’m pretty sure we can just make that at home.

*Review Based on Eat-In Order: The Classic Hamburger with Fries, The BBQ Bacon Burger, The S’more Melt, Mint Chip Shake, and drinks. **Overall Score: 1 out of 5 Pros: The mint shake was awesome! The s’mores melt was above average, the inside eating area was super clean. Getting out order was fairly quick. Cons: The employee at the counter was not helpful with our order — she asked us about the loyalty card after she rang us up and then had to cancel the order and ring us up again to get the points. Also, safety-wise, the clipboard where I signed my receipt had another person’s signed receipt underneath — I’m not sure why they wouldn’t keep the signed receipts in the cash register — they were compromising customer confidentiality and it was not even busy during that time. The burgers were both medium rare(moo!) — Not our preference. The BBQ sauce tasted homemade but was watery and slightly sour though the bacon was good. The french fries did not have enough seasoning and there weren’t any additional salt or pepper shakers. The sodas were all organic and made with sugar cane so everything tasted super sweet. The ketchup was organic, tasted bland, and was watery; we almost had to ransack one of the neighboring establishments for real ketchup. The reclining metal and wicker-looking chairs outside were extremely uncomfortable. Theoverall taste of the meal was not worth the high cost. We would only return for the mint shake and maybe to sample the other flavors.

This place use to be good and friendly. Today was a joke. Every table outside and any free table inside was filthy. The trays and food just stacked and if the guest did throw out their food, the table has not been wiped down. They weren’t too busy to do this, either short staffed or lazy. The cashier girl was not friendly at all, no smiles and was just rude. You can tell she hates her job. We ordered a regular grilled cheese — okay… Tomato soup — canned is better… Mac n cheese — zero flavor and watery?! The only thing we enjoyed was the Oreo cookie shake. We will not be coming back. Actually had to go next door and order a pizza bc the kids couldn’t eat anything. Included a picture of my receipt to show I did indeed eat here and thoroughly hated it.

Decent lunch, but nothing that is going to make me crave it again. I used the iPad ordering system, because it was busy. My order never made it through to the kitchen. The staff was very nice and apologetic. It wasn’t much of a big deal to me, but it was nice to see that the staff was so accommodating. I ordered the truffle mushroom Mac n’ Cheese. They ran out of cheese sauce and substituted it for another. It was good, but I think it would have been better with the original truffle cheese sauce. Portion size was good for me and the sauce didn’t seem to be overly«processed» like other fast food restaurants. They offer natural sodas, which were really good. I’d go back to give it a second chance and maybe try something different.

I ambled into this place after seeing the prices for a pizza next door, I decided to give this a shot. The ambiance is clean. The line moved quick. They take your order, ask for your name, which my cashier mangled(How do you get Droid from David?). I ordered tomato soup and a cheeseburger. The manager came over to chat as I had questions regarding their franchise model. They have multiple restaurants and seem to be doing well. After tasting their food I can understand why. The burger(albeit too small for me, thus 4 star) was tasty. The soup was not too creamy, and the fries were crisp and salty. I would have like more options on their fountain drinks. I don’t like nor drink soda and prefer unsweetened ice tea, which is becoming more rare in SoCal restaurants these days. But overall, a good meal that I would recommend.

Italian Job. Naked Fries. I thought maybe the combination would be too greasy and heavy but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was neither. The spicy garlic bread on the Italian job is delicious & the fries are very well seasoned and yummy. :)

Do we really need another average burger joint?! The burgers were good, there just isn’t anything to distinguish the Melt from the other choices. Hook Burger is much better, Five Guys about the same, it’s better than In n Out, just middle of the road and completely unremarkable. I guess if you feel like a burger before a movie, it’s convenient and decent. I’d never go out of my way to eat here but I’d go again before a movie next door.

Got here at noon on Saturday and just beat the crowd! Happy to have this new place in town, as I now don’t have to worry about the grilled cheese food trucks! Excellent all natural everything here, and way above the taste and quality and even better cost-wise than any chef or gourmet food truck. The Classic Cheese with bacon was everything great in a grilled cheese, including very good moist, which some reviewers have called chewy, all-grain bread, and creamy well paired cheeses and good lean bacon. The Italian Cheese was like-wise, very well paired cheeses on all-grain garlic bread. Since I got the Italian instead of the Mac and Cheese sandwich, we got the Mac and Cheese side order. Not your typical baked Mac and Cheese, it’s a spiral pasta cooked al dente with a creamy tasty melted cheese as a sauce over the pasta; good way to keep the pasta just right to the bite. The house fresh squeezed lemonade is great, but get it before they run out. Can’t wait to return to try the other menu items, including the melt burger. Where else can you get an all natural burger, well paired with good cheese, on an all-grain all natural bun? One comment: it’s a little confusing when you enter the restaurant that the order line is to the right against the wall, making it uncomfortable if you walk up to the cashier to order and then realize that everyone in line is eye balling you to make sure you’re cutting to the front of the order line.

So –So… Like many I received a coupon in the mail to get $ 10 off $ 20 or $ 50ff $ 10. I must say the prices aren’t bad. Ended up getting a burger, fries, one drink, grilled cheese and a side of tomato soup for $ 21.00. The portion size for most men might be a bit small. The burgers are probably the size of my fist, not saying much; the fries around the same. I had the soup and grilled cheese, perfect portion for me! However, I was not exactly a fan of the taste if the grilled cheese. Truffle Grilled($ 6.95) cheese lacked in the actual taste of truffle AND once we received our order(at there), the cheese had already been completely solidified. I think they need to either rethink the cheese they chose or make the sandwich hotter. All I felt like I was just eating clump go cheese. Tomato soup($ 2.95) however was quite good, I was able to dip my grilled cheese in it. My boyfriend ordered the«Spicy» Mission, and I can tell you the spicy is not how I would describe it. The small($ 5.95 burger only), was good in flavor, just I would suggest to switch it to just Mission burger. Those who are a fan of skinny fries $ 2.45(such as myself) this is the place for you! Last but not least, the soda was true sugar cane-like soda, it was pretty good. Case in point, I think I would pass on this place if I had a choice, sorry folks. Only upside would be the portions are smaller(saves me from over eating) and I enjoy skinny fries.

Prior to our movie date at Cinepolis, we had lunch at The Melt. While our burgers were definitely on the smallish side(I was surprised), it actually was quite filling. I ordered the ‘Shroom Burger, which had spinach for its greens, grilled onions, lots of sautéed fresh mushrooms, a nice, thick and VERY tasty beef patty… good quality beef, fontina cheese and whatever their special sauce is, served on a quality wheat bun. What was missing in size was surely made up in the flavor. I really enjoyed my burger. Even the«naked» fries I ordered were very tastefully seasoned. For those of you who know me, you know I’m about the flavor… flavor throughout, and what I ate here had flavor throughout. I was very satisfied and pleased !! For first timers, they offer the choice of an apple or chocolate chip cookie. Throwing caution… and diets… to the wind, we opted for the cookie(plus it seemed like a good thing to eat once in the movie theater). The café was very clean with lots of tables to dine outside, but it was just too humid on the day we went. Service was exceptionally friendly and helpful. While one could find more healthy things to eat at this place, for me, I’d be too swayed not to follow on that regimen with all the more tantalizing food items they offer. That being said, yes, there is something for everyone on their limited but interesting menu. Really good quality food, regardless of what one orders.

Im sorry to say I was disappointed. Came here with my kids had received a coupon in the mail so we decided to try them out. The food was not very tasty my kids hated the buns and the natural soda was awful. I get the healthy concept but make the food tasteful. I am sorry to say we will not be returning and I always try to support local businesses but for the money I would do Hook or The Habit any day.

Got a flyer in the mail offering $ 5 off a bill of $ 10 or more, and $ 10 off if you spend $ 20. A good deal, so we gave it a try Friday night. It’s a small space, a few tables inside and 4 outside; the décor is unmemorable, so I guess people are here for the food. I’d read in the Unilocal reviews that the burgers are small, so I order the Italian Job grilled cheese with Naked fries. My son goes with the Burger Melt combo(burger, fries, drink), I also ask for a lemonade, but they are out(??) so I go with water. The total is a buck short of $ 20, so I use the $ 5 off coupon. It’s a beautiful evening, so we snag the last table outside. After a few minutes they bring our order to us. The reviews are right, the burger is small. It is also medium-rare, which my son didn’t request. Fortunately he likes it that way, and says the burger is decent. My grilled cheese, while also decently flavored, is paper thin, and the bread is chewy with dense hard crusts. I also notice my fry portion is less than ½ my son’s, and his isn’t exactly super-sized. A ripoff at $ 2.45. Upon leaving I still have the $ 10 off coupon, so I offer it to the family of 4 next to us. The father puts up his hand and says«No thanks, we won’t be coming back. I don’t think this place will be here that long». My exact sentiments.

I came here for lunch two days ago with my husband thinking it was still Pick Up Stix. We quickly found out that it was no longer a Pick Up Stix, but decided to try it out. I was 100% sure that I had frequented the one in Pasadena.(Apparently there is another shop in Pasadena that is also called Melt with a similar logo and I had confused them) I was very excited to get one of my «usual» grilled cheese speciality sandwiches but I looked at the menu to find BURGERSFRIES&SHAKES. Say whaaaaaaaat? That’s not a grilled cheese with arugula and beets. Anyways, I was so perturbed by the menu changing of my beloved grilled cheese shop that I panicked ordered their Original burger with no sauce, no cheese, & cooked well done. My husband got the combo meal & turns out their drinking fountain is one of those«sugar cane» sweetened soda fountains. Pretty cool. We got a table and waited for our food. It has a SmashBurger vibe & I would be SHOCKED if they weren’t owned by the same company. They were wayyyyyy too alike. Our food came out quickly, and boy was it delicious!!! I was so mad the whole time that we were waiting so for my mood to change instantly with one bite is a pretty big deal. Fries were bomb too. I could see myself coming here just for fries and shake way too often. Haha. If you are at the Promenade I highly suggest trying this place! Also, this restaurant and the one I thought it was are in no way related. So I feel really excited to give this place another chance knowing that.

Went right before noon, asked how long a chicken sandwich would take… Like 5 mins is what they said. Clearly, it’s new and they’re still figuring things out. Nearly 12 mins in I changed my order to go, had to eat while driving back to my next appt. The spicy grilled chicken was just ok, same with the fries. Granted I was now rushed and focused on driving while I quickly ate. Soda water option was a nice surprise. Will try it again with the kids and update.

Wow! Sinfully delicious. I ordered a Mac daddy no bacon with the cup of tomato basil soup for dipping. I arrived around 11:20 on a Tuesday and food was brought out promptly and wow. It was incredible. Must try! Welcome to the neighborhood melt.

I came in last week before they were even open for business and a lady was nice enough to let me in and gave me a menu. She was beyond friendly and went out of her way to explain many of the items on the menu and I couldn’t wait until they opened! Great burger! I ordered the burger melt combo($ 8.95). The burger was great! It was cooked perfectly, not well done or too pink. I ordered my burger with the«melt sauce» on the side since never having it before and next time I will order it with the sauce. The fries were good as well. For my kids, I ordered mac n cheese($ 4.95) and subbed the apples for french fries which was $ 1 more. The kids meals didn’t include a drink. I tried my sons mac and cheese and it was really good as well. The staff was friendly and the service was very quick. They also have an «order board» so that you can see how long it will be until your order is ready. I will be back and I can’t wait to try other menu items and the milkshakes!
