Timo’s Air Conditioning & Heating

We have been very happy with Timo’s and their service. We just had our first 6 month service and Chris came out and handled everything in a very professional manner. I would recommend this company to friends and family.

We chose Timo’s Air to replace our HVAC system and ducting in our mid-​century Alexander vacation home in Palm Springs during a full remodel earlier this year.
I am not usually writing reviews but after having dealt with a variety of contractors in the desert area over of the last couple of months, I feel compelled to share my outstanding experience with Timo’s Air.
Business ethics: Family business, trustworthy, passionate, friendly & relationship driven. The business itself seems to be built around long terms success versus short term gain. In all interactions with Joey Timo Jr. (General Manager) and his staff it felt like they genuinely appreciated my business and understood my needs. There was a very high level of care and quality excellence to every aspect of their job, which is not seen often. On the day of testing the new system, Joey Jr and his father stayed late into the evening, tweaking zones and improving the performance of the system to ensure everything was working perfectly.
Communication: Best communicating contractor, period. From his office manager Tracy, to Joey himself, who takes the time and care to type emails, iphone chat, text, send pictures or speak on the phone. My countless questions before, during and after the install were always answered in the most professional and reassuring manner, even after hours, weekends and holidays. Whatever method of communication works best for you, Joey will accommodate you.
Skill & experience: Timo’s Air is a 2^nd generation business that could only be successful by being very good at what they do. From initial appraisal, system selection, layout design, install to zoning setup, everything went smoothly and the system operates as intended and better. Joey is very particular about the esthetics of the install, so was I. Vents were relocated, ducts and wires neatly run. Their team consists of skilled tradesmen who have been working with Timo’s Air for years.
Value: While Timo’s Air was not the lowest price I had received from other companies; I did not expect nor want bargain pricing for such an important investment. Joey was very knowledgeable and helpful recommending utility and tax rebates and flexible working on pricing. He never ever attempted to upsell and even steered me away from some unnecessary extras. Note that Timo’s Air’s preferred brand is Trane, which is well known to be the best and most reliable out there.
In summary, if you are looking for an honest, professional yet affordable HVAC company, Timo’s Air will exceed your expectations. I speak from the perspective of managing a luxury hotel in LA and I can reassure that Timo’s product, service & execution are second to none in the desert.

The air conditioning in our home wasn’t working. On Friday morning, called Timo’s and scheduled a service call … for late Friday afternoon. At 4:00 pm, Glen the serviceman arrived. And at 4:40 pm, the problem was fixed.
Timo’s is terrific.

We’ve tried other AC specialists in the desert that we were required to use by our home warranty program, and in the end, we ended up calling TImo’s and just paying for the service. Timo’s has fast, friendly and reliable service. Ashley and Tracy in the office are super nice and helpful. And Chris has helped us install new units at 4 different properties. Always call Timo’s.

My air conditioner blew three fuses in two weeks and I was getting concerned. Timo’s is right here in Thousand Palms so I thought I would give them a try, especially after seeing their Unilocal reviews.
So, their guy Glenn showed up pretty much when I expected him to and went over my system. Everything checked out OK but he found the connexions in the fuse box were a little loose and so he tightened them. So far I haven’t had any problems.
He was knowledgeable about what he was doing, polite, and thorough. My system is about 15 years old and he did say we could save a lot of money on electricity by getting a new one. I am seriously considering that.

After doing a lot of research on different AC companies in the Coachella Valley, we selected Timo’s to install a new furnace and AC unit for our condo in Palm Desert.
From the time (s) that Joey Timo (jr.) visited us to quote the system to the amount of information he provided to us on operating and capital costs of various systems, to the install and follow-​up, all we can say is we wish they could install in our home in Canada too!
The installation was extremely clean and the unit that was selected and installed is so quiet (I really mean it is sooo quiet!). Our monthly electric bills have already come down when compared to our old unit.
As we don’t live in Palm Desert in the summer, Joey followed up with us by email and kept us in the loop all the time. It is a pleasure to have such good communication with a contractor.
We recommended them to our property manager as she was very pleased with the installation process too. They arrived when they said they would, did what was promised and more, and were professional in every aspect of their work.

It was 110 degrees and my AC conked out on me. I needed service quickly as I have animals at home and I’m concerned about their welfare in the heat. I had already decided I wanted to try Timo’s after seeing their cute billboards around town. But I had to check with Unilocal to be absolutely sure of my choice. I was absolutely astounded by the stellar reviews they’ve received on Unilocal.So if so many customers are pleased then they were the company for me.
I called the dispatcher and she was very pleasant with me over the phone. Kudos in that regard. That’s a first impression that’s very important. She was very accommodating and squeezed me in on the same day. I was so grateful in her effort to get someone out to the house sooner than later.
In just a couple of hours Rafael arrived and began assessing the problem with my AC. After 15 minutes up on the roof he explained to me the situation in terms that was very easy to understand. I agreed to have the repairs done and it was quite reasonable. And a job well done.
I am very pleased with Timo’s as they will be my new Heating and AC team for a long time to come. Thanks again for the great service, and on such short notice too.

Had summer service on our 12 year old Trane A/​C. Our technician, Chris was fantastic! He made sure to show me the meter readings on the output of our fan, capacitor & the refrigerant levels. We had never had any service on our unit in the 5 years that we have owned our home. Turned out that the fan did need to be replaced, as well as needing more refrigerant. Luckily, we signed on for Timo’s twice per year maintenance on our A/​C & furnace, so that saved us 20% plus another discount from Unilocal.Highly recommend this business. Super friendly & very accomodating!
