This is an up and back again hike. Steepest part is in the beginning. Rest of the hike is a breeze. You will hit Bobs Hill(the overlook) and Cat Rock and back at about 8.5 miles. Cat Rock is a scramble just for the view, but a solid challenge nonetheless. Bobs Hill view is of the countryside. Less than breathtaking. Cat Rock view is of the mountains. Particularly beautiful because the mountainside is covered in trees, and there are red maples(I think) speckled throughout the forest. There are park bathrooms at the parking site, but I could not find a trashcan anywhere. Suggested donation when you enter, but no one manning the booths on the weekend. There were a lot of flies when I went in late April. They don’t bite, but you come out of the trail with 20 or so all over your shirt. Enjoy your hike!
