Heaven knows where our GPS was going to take us… You pass red neck heaven with rusting cars on cinder blocks. ‘half a mile ahead turn right’ said our GPS as I saw the sign for Springfield Manor. Step on the brake, revere & here we were… Two large buildings. One seemingly for weddings, or mybe the upstairs was for weddings too. Who knows we were here for the wine! It was busy but the tasting rooms was not… Strange. My wife gotto knocking back the samplings. I enjoyed the great views whilst a seemingly drunk guy made small talk. I can see this as a great venue for weddings! Smallest samples of wines though! Barely enough to wet a knats head. But it’s a sample… The end product & the presentation is what matters. The wines are great for a place that has only being open for three months. They know their stuff & even better in the next few months they expect to expand to be a distillery, producing… gin! I hate gin. But hey aye they will expand to distill spirits that don’t revolt me. Any other spirit than gin basically. A place to visit & certainly a place to get married. Beautiful surroundings.
