I stumbled upon this place with a friend of mine. We had just left Sam’s and was looking for another place that had closed down. We stopped in to Prima Palate and had a fantastic experience. My friend and I were the only people there(it was a weekday and at a time when most people were at work) and had the undivided attention of Brooke. We tasted a couple of flights and had a great conversation with Brooke about white California wines vs. Italian wines. It was informative and entertaining. The wines were very good, as was the Persecco. I’m glad we stumbled upon this place.

A fantastic and unexpected find. I love wine, but really appreciate good wine. And every single taste was good — very very good. I can’t remember the last time where every single item on the flight was top notch. And the owner tracked me down to my hotel in Tiburon to let me know I had left my sunglasses. Honestly better than any place I’ve been to in a long time. I enjoyed the nibbles after words just as much.

LOVELOVELOVE Prima Palate. I love to meet a friend for a glass of wine and a nibble. They always have extraordinary wine recommendations, I have never been disappointed. Atmosphere is great, wish they could enlarge their bar to accommodate a few more people. It is also a fantastic place to pick up gourmet nibbles.

Love this place, great weekend afternoon place to swing by for a glass of wine, some snacks, and to take a few bottles home. Brooke knows her wine well and if you trust the suggestions you’ll always find something to please your taste. Note, if you want the normal fruit bomb California wines normally served, you’ll probably want to go somewhere else. Their specialty is wine with character, smaller producers who really care about the wine, and pairing with fun foods and snacks to enjoy a perfect afternoon.

GREATPLACE! Brooke knows her wine, and she also knows her food! There’s a wide selection of wines, and she runs specials all the time. These are on the chalk board inside, worth a peek! She also has imported beers and other niceties. This is a guaranteed gustatory treat! The location on Ark Row is fun, and when the weather is cold in San Francisco you can sip wine outside under the trees in fair Tiburon. If you’re looking for a space to rent out, she also does that. The open feel is really nice, and lends itself to mixing and mingling. I am so glad we have a place like this in Tiburon!

My wife and I stumbled upon this little wine bar during the Opening Day on the Bay(2010). The wine was great, the hors d’oeuvres we’re wonderful, and the price was quite reasonable. Give it a shot!

The Unilocal deal is incredible! We found Prima Palate via Unilocal Mobile while strolling around Tiburon on a beautiful March afternoon. Stopped in and hesitantly asked for the $ 5 Unilocal tasting — could this possibly be for real? It was! We had a delightful tasting sitting outside. Great, unobtrusive, no pressure service. Delicious wines. Wish we’d had time to explore further before catching our ferry back.

You can still shop at Trader Joe’s for those $ 3.99 deals, but sometimes don’t you want to branch out a little? Maybe talk with someone who knows a thing or two and will take you on a little barstool journey to the hills of Umbria? Joe will still welcome you back with his screaming deals, but every once in a while, come here instead and be pleasantly surprised by what you find.

What a delightful addition to town. A true spot locals and tourists can enjoy. Brooke and Cate have incredible wine knowledge. They have private parties, small tastings with a cozy atmosphere. Don’t miss this place.

I happened to stumble into this nice little wine shop in Tiburon and I’m glad I did. I wasn’t familiar with many of the wines they offer, as most of them are Italian, but I told the owner what I liked and she set me up with a few really great bottles. And the kicker is that these wines cost a bit less then my usual favorites. Thanks so much! I’ll be back!

I love Italian wines and this place knows their stuff. I’m certainly no connoisseur, but know what I like and they were able to help me find wines within my price range(under $ 30) that are great for everyday drinking and a couple I can put away for special occasions. Got some of their pasta and a few sweets as well and have loved just about everything so far. The women running it are super cool and very helpful. I can’t wait to go back soon and re-stock.

If you love Italy, you must visit this wine shop! The setting is very intimate, quaint and relaxing and the wine is showcased beautifully, which enables you to view the selections easily. They offer many varietals from various regions in Italy and something for everyone’s taste. The owners are extremely nice and knowledgeable… just tell them what your palate and price range is and they’ll provide you with excellent options. You won’t be disappointed! You can also sit at the bar and enjoy the weekly tasting menu, buy unique Italian pastas and spreads, host a catered dinner or cocktail party or have them put together a gourmet gift basket. They also do consulting for your private wine collection — educating you on what wines to eat with which foods as well as when the best time is to drink the wine. Or, hire them for a corporate wine tasting event at your office. A one stop shop! Also, a great place to open your taste buds to unique and delicious wines and foods! Salute!
