Update — **CLOSED** Thsi is a very cute small venue, very peaceful and nice place to get away. We had a Travelzoo voucher for this location, for a wine flight and a board of cheeses and salami. I had looked at the pictures online ahead of time, so I was excited for the meats and cheese that were to accompany the wine. I was very disappointed when we received a much smaller board than what was presented online, I felt like we got the«you have a groupon/living social/travelzoo coupon» thus you get a smaller portion/sample size of everything. Whenever we have used a voucher at another venue we have also received the same size board as every customer, so this left a sour taste in our mouth regarding the experience.

**CLOSED** Loved this place but it’s very shut down. No note on the door stating relocation or anything. Too bad, it was a great wine bar.

Cute place. Fast and friendly service. Good wine selection. My friend and I sat at a table, chatted and played Mancala for a few hours and weren’t made to feel rushed at all. Laid-back, comfortable ambiance.

My favorite place in Marin. Staff is friendly, they have happy hour deals so you can try all 3 for a very low price. And the view is so romantic(haha I just gagged) but it really nice there.

Disappointed. We were not greeted when we walked in or when we were seated at a table for about 5 minutes. We finally walked up to the bar and inquired if we could take a table and showed them our travel zoo certificate. They did not want to honor our voucher for two flights and meat and cheese platter. because they were«too busy.» Instead we were offered two glasses of wine and a below mediocre meat and cheese board consisting of 5 slices of salami cut in half and three small portions of cheese that did not match the menu. We were also informed that other couples were turned away as well with the deal. We accepted the offer only because it was a long drive in traffic to get there. We were told to sit a a dirty table and they would come clean it for us. The gentleman came over and picked up the remnants from the last customer and brushed the table clean with his hand. Before leaving we hear another another couple order with a voucher and there is a conversation. The gal at the table puts up a fight. They get their wine flights from a different server. I see our server talking to the guy and hear him saying that he did not honor the deal for us and … Clearly he knew we observed what had just happened. Such poor customer service, making up the rules as you go. I would not recommend this place. I read the Unilocal reviews before buying the deal, unfortunately I did not see the«not recommended reviews» until now. Had I read those I would not have purchased the deal as they all had the same common complaint. The bar did not honor the deal and the servers were rude, cocky and arrogant. All one star reviews. I’m wondering if I need to make this 3 stars just so it will be seen… I’ll give it a try.

My fiancé and I came here with a travelzoo voucher — 4 flights of wine per person with 3 oz pours and a board of cheeses(cheddar, gouda brie), salami and crackers(for $ 29 — pretty good deal). I can visualize this place as a good place to hang out for the 30+ crowd. There were a lot of people ordering a glass of wine and just chilling out on the deck absorbing the sun and perfect view of the outstretched harbor. The place is very charming and the bartenders were great; extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is not an issue here. They have the whole parking lot to themselves! Overall okay. We have no complaints besides the wine list isn’t very extensive. We would probably come back here again if we were in the area, but wouldn’t make the trek out just to come here.

It does not get any better than this place. If you are visiting or living in the Sausalito area, there is no excuse but to spend an evening sipping delicious wine and watching the sunset on the harbor. If you are living or visiting in San Francisco or the larger Bay Area, there is still no excuse. Make the trip — hop on the ferry after work, or make a day of it and bike over. But wherever you are coming from, do yourself a favor and visit this gem of a wine bar. You will not be disappointed. The first time I came here was for my birthday with a group of maybe 6 or 7 others after biking from San Francisco. We took over a cozy corner with couches and spend the late afternoon/early evening enjoying the beautiful views and lovely wine and snacks. On top of that, the two servers were super friendly. They were both very knowledgable, but also causal and laid back, always making sure we had everything we needed. The second time was just the other evening when we decided on a whim to hop on the ferry after work and head over for happy hour. Caught a 5:50 ferry and made it into the bar by around 6:30. We sat outside with a flight of wine and the company of a pesky seagull, and all was right with the world. It’s a very pleasant escape from the hustling and bustling of the city, and there is a peacefulness to the place that is unmatched by any establishment I think I’ve ever been to(save maybe on like a tropical island). For a period of time, we were all by ourselves on the little deck outside, and could hear the waves lapping as the sun set. It was perfection. And again, Russell and the other server were attentive, funny, and friendly. I cannot recommend this place with enough enthusiasm to do it justice. I almost don’t want to, for fear of it becoming too crowded. But I cannot, in good conscience, keep this treasure to myself. If you like beautiful spaces, good wine and friendly people, you won’t be disappointed.

What a wonderful wine bar! Not only can you sit at a stainless steal bar, or sink into a coach by a fire, or lounge outside by the water but you have an excellent glass of wine to accompany your relaxation. The service is very knowledgable and if you are not so familiar with wine, or even don’t know what you like — they will help you out by exploring the different flavors until you have found one that says yum! A wonderful Sausalito Gem.

This place is great. We came here on a Sunday afternoon with a Travelzoo deal(which was pretty good). The view on the patio is awesome and the servers were all very cool. They have a good wine menu and a beer selection. We will definitely come back when we’re in the area again!

Adorable and perfectly executed london style wine bar. Awesome ambiance, location, views — lovely! Loved it during a warm sunset, but believe it would be really charming in colder months while the fireplace is on too :)

We held our wedding reception at Wellington’s and it was a wonderful event. Their staffs were great to work with. Julie was so helpful in picking wines and small bites. We reserved the back part of the space + patio for a group of 60, so even though there were other people present, the event felt cosy. We didn’t decorate but did bring cakes. All our guests said it was a relaxing, layback reception. If that’s what you are looking for, this is the spot.

A wine venue that is down by the pier with a sea-themed décor and layout, was enjoyable indeed! We ordered up their Enanzo Chardonnay Spain for $ 15 Carafe sized while pleasantly admiring the port-like wine room and chit chatting over random topics. That Enanzo Chardonnay was quite strong with a finish tasting for a white wine, but it was still nice. They offer outdoor seating, but the weather was a bit windy to be lounging leisurely outside that day. It was sunny, though. Their salami platter looked like plain Jane — not outstanding. I would say, skip. Unless, you want something to munch on, then get it by all means! I had a pleasant time here and you will too!

Okay, so they don’t have the most adventurous wine list around, so what? Where would you rather spend an hour before or after dinner sipping good wines and hanging out on comfy sofas, looking out over t he bay? When they have a private party it can get a little loud, but eve so it’s still nice when that happens. Plus, they’ve got a big screen TV to watch the Giants on. You don’t expect to find that at every wine bar. So, wine snobs, relax. Everyone else is already relaxed at this great neighborhood place.

GREAT place to have a wedding and reception. Julie Henderson, the event organizer and co-owner was AWESOME. We rented out the whole space for an 80 person wedding on a Sunday afternoon in September. They knew exactly what questions to ask, were completely open to moving things around for the ceremony, let us drop off supplies early in the week, let our friends in early to arrange flowers, had clever and thoughtful suggestions for the space, and made sure everything went completely smoothly. And the sunny back patio was perfect for post wedding pictures. Oh, and probably important to mention: I’ve never had a bad(or even mediocre) glass of wine there in five years. Julie helped us pick wedding wines and beer that we could afford, the minimum financial commitment was extremely reasonable(ever checked out what wedding spaces in SF can cost?), the staff was friendly, helpful and great with our guests, and wow did Wellington’s work hard to make sure there were always(no, seriously, ALWAYS) a dozen glasses of wine poured and ready to drink at all times. Wellington’s is a great place to have wine away from the touristy part of downtown Sausalito. And if you want everyone at your event to be buzzed and happy in a friendly environment run by people who are easy to work with, I give Wellington’s my highest possible recommendation!

Nice deck area on the water, great service. Good place to go to get out of the hustle and bustle of Sausalito. We didn’t try the food, just had a cheese sampler plate and wine flights that we got through a Travelzoo deal. The wines were really good and the cheese plate was just OK. They weren’t busy and the service was great on a Saturday afternoon. I’d go back when in the area.

Cute place! Definitely worth a visit if you want some good wine in Sausalito! I must premise this by saying, we’d probably not come here if it wasn’t for the TravelZoo coupon. This was our first time in Sausalito and what a cute area! There’s lots of cute restaurants and the view in to San Francisco is lovely! Anyway, this is such a cute place with lovely outdoor seating(but sadly, we didn’t get to sit outside). The groupon was four wine flights each and a cheese plate. There is a good selection for the wine flights, but the cheese plate was meh. I think they’re all prepacked or something. I got three whites and one red(sorry, I don’t remember which now). I do appreciate the great selection and there’s more if you decide to do more than the flights. We ended up sitting at the bar and service was great. The atmosphere of this place was great and laid back. I loved all the quirky British things on the wall. Nice wine bar if you’re around the area.

LOVE this place! Have only come once so far, but can definitely see myself making the drive(from Benicia) to here. Came in on a Saturday right after the 2012 holiday season — the place was pretty empty. The Bartender said they had been PACKED almost every day for the last couple of weeks, and were still out of quite a few wines(*sad face*). The BF and I sat on the couches at the far end of the bar and took a look at the menu. HOLYCOW! SOOOO many different types of wine(and even some really good beer!). I LOVE how they put a description of the flavors of all the wine. I’m not an afficionado by any means, but I know the flavors I like — and this helped me narrow down my choice, explore kind of new things, and really hone in on what I liked. The bartender was also really nice. He kind of helped us out with choosing wines when a couple of the ones we wanted weren’t in stock. He wasn’t snooty at all, and didn’t seem to judge us for being«young». I love that they have some games there you can play. We played Yahtzee and Checkers for almost two hours. I’m pretty sure they have wi-fi also. I could definitely see myself bringing my book or laptop in here to work and just enjoy the day. Can’t wait until the weather clears up and we can go try out their patio area. Yaaaaaay, Wellingtons!

Great wine list, great views and great service. This is the poor mans St Tropez. Try patio seating for fresh sea air and views of the bay.

Sausalito is known for many things, but I came for one thing: views. You certainly get enough of that here, but before you head out the back patio, take in the rustic, spacious set-up, it almost looks like a very big living room. Then you open the wine book, not thick enough to be a Bible, but certainly a full revelation of wine notes, flights, half bottles and full bottles focusing heavily on Californian and European varietals. To get a smattering of tastes, go with a flight, you can even mix and match between bubbly and wine. We were the only customers here on an early Friday afternoon and the spring-like weather was gorgeous. I was up for chilled glass of ANYTHING! The gentleman was kind enough to even let me choose a reserve champagne as part of my flight. Their Pierre Morlet grand reserve brut is rich and refined, just like a high class Parisian woman. The 2009 Von Simmers Rieslin was ripe with peach flavors. But my favorite was the Italian white wine, Porto Mancini Vermentino di Gallera, with its complex minerality. I found the Gustave Lotentz Gewurtztraminer just ok. Bf had a red flight with two quality Pinot Noirs, but I didn’t drink too much of his because even I had a hard time even finishing my share. The cheese and charcuterie plate had the usual brie/parmesan combo with thin slices of salami. I wish they’d serve this with sliced baguettes instead of Ritz crackers but I understand that they’re really going for the casual, make yourself at home feel. The guys behind the bar are friendly and gave us all the time we need to enjoy our very generous pours without rushing us. Get some kissing time on the couch or at the dog friendly patio outback while enjoying the water views.

I was checking out a new Meetup group in Sausalito and the location was set at a beautiful wine bar. Classy and comfy, I was looking forward to a great evening. There are a ton of choices by the glass, but on a cold evening I was interested in something red. I decided to try their house Tempranillo, which was fruity and nutty, and quite affordable. Very good for a house wine indeed. Service was great and, while most nights are pretty slow, there was a warm buzz in the room this evening. There’s some benches out back on the patio and even a water bowl for your dog when they’re joining you for the evening. I’m looking forward to returning for a whole bottle of wine when I don’t have to drive. Food: 8⁄10 Service: 8⁄10 Price: $$ Atmosphere: 8⁄10
