Out of all the Thai places I have been to(and there have been A LOT) DD Thai is the tastiest food and they do a great job making it the perfect amount of spicy. Also the service is fantastic! They are always so nice and friendly even when it’s crazy busy. I love this place! I have told many friends about this restaurant. It never fails! Oh and the Thai Tea the cute little lady makes is delicious!!!

My husband & I tried DD Thai last night for the 1st time. It’s inside an Asian Market in a small section of «lunch» counters. We had salad rolls, tom Kha soup & massaman curry. All were delicious! The woman who waited on us at the counter(I think she was the owner) couldn’t have been more delightful & helpful. The tom Kha soup taste da little more tomatoey than others I’ve had but was still quite delicious. I loved all the onions, tomatoes, mushrooms & a few other veggies in with the chicken. It was so good we bought another container to bring home because we live about 30 minutes from here. This was a great Unilocal find! Also, it seemed a lot cleaner than some of the places you normally find in markets like this, at least the ones up in Seattle.

Just okay. We went there because of the good Unilocal reviews, but I didn’t think it was anything special. We had pad thai, pad kee mow, and salad rolls. The salad rolls were good, the pad thai was not any better than anywhere else(even a bit worse) and the pad kee mow was decent, except I bit into two creepy hard pieces(bones?), which is something that always ruins my appetite for the rest of the meal. I wouldn’t go here again. I’d stick with Thai Basil in LO and Thai Bistro in Tualatin, which are both a lot better.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants ever. I’m a regular for these reasons: I frequently shop at H-Mart and place my order before shopping — by the time I’m through with checking out my order is ready. You absolutely cannot beat $ 7.50 per very substantial portions. And last, but not least — I was not disappointed even once by the quality of food.

Great food and quick yet efficient service! I highly recommend the Massaman Curry as well as the pad Thai!!! In addition, all of the entrees are $ 7.50 or under! I’m definitely coming back again.

I ordered shrimp pakeemao for togo. It was simply really greacy and worst pakeemao ever. Shrimp was overcooked too. No chopstick and napkin in my Togo bag.

Our all time favorite Tai food in the area. My family visits at least 2 times a month. Tippi(the lady who runs the place) is an absolute sweetheart and her crew is amazing. $ 7.25 No matter what dish you choose and the portions are generous. The Tai icetea is amazing!

Best Thai food in the south Portland Metro area hands down! The food is fantastic and I honestly can’t say enough about it! The massaman curry is the best I have ever had anywhere and is just SOO good. My other favorite is the pineapple fried rice. They have lots of yummy veggies and cashews and the flavor is very yummy. Their chicken is very good white meat, tender and cut thin. Going vegetarian is also great here because they will give you extra veggies if you say no meat. The price is great as well! The staff is always friendly. We go about every 2 or 3 weeks(sometimes more lol) and they are almost always busy with big smiles and don’t ever make you feel like you aren’t important and welcome. They have kind of an open cooking area so you can see and smell all the dishes that you didn’t order coming out and plan on what you are going to get the next time because they all look so good! YUM! The only negative is if you like spice and ask for spicy… they usually ask you on a sliding scale, go low! My kids and husband love spicy things(I do NOT) and sometimes they ask for a 2 and it is wayyy to much, but other times it is perfect at a 2. So just fyi.

Will I come back? Yes. The food was very good at a good price. Why not 5 stars? The service was terrible from the old white dude at the counter who was unfriendly and ignored me. To the food runners who didn’t bring us silverware on request. Good food, good price, bad service.

Pad Thai is nothing special. Spicy is so spicy it legitimately burns your mouth. In a super mart. No drink options, other than water and tea. Huge portions. Left overs are gross. Just normal run of the mill Thai place.

ITSINSIDE H MART(To the right down two) No wonder this place has such great reviews. Aghmazing service, they really go the extra mile… I was waiting for my Togo order(10 mins max wait) and she even refilled my Thai tea(which was amazing btw) haven’t tried my meal yet but first impression is this is going to be my new favorite place.

They can make things gluten free! It tasted so good I had to double check that yep, they were using gluten free soy sauce for my order. Sorry for being fussy, guys. Gluten poisonings at other establishments have made me suspicious of dishes that taste so on point. I had the basil entrée with squid. Fast, inexpensive, friendly, fresh tasting. A gem.

Visited for dinner based on all the great Unilocal reviews and once again, WEHAVE A WIN! Our food was absolutely deeeeeelicious! At $ 7.50 a plate and generous portions, one plate could feed two without leftovers, but it’s all so fresh and clean and tasty, we got our own. And gladly had leftovers. The service was super friendly, as in genuinely happy and not the often fake nice you find in restaurants. Order and pay at the counter, there’s a photo of all the dishes, they give you a table number card and bring it to you. We are amazed at such great food inside a fun store. Thanks, Unilocal!Thumbs up!

I’m come here about every other week for my Thai fix, and have never been disappointed. Tippy, the owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and her crew are fantastic! The Pa Nang Curry is one of my favorite dishes.

Simply outstanding. H-mart is awesome in and of itself, but this little lunch-counter style restaurant is a treasure. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao, and it was delicious. The noodles were just right texturally, and the veggies and chicken were fresh and cooked to perfection. From the looks of things, my friend enjoyed his Pad Thai quite thoroughly, as well. Next time i go, i will order my second favorite Thai dish, Tom Yum soup. If the rest of the food is any indicator, i’m in for a treat. Stop on in for lunch or takeout, then browse H-mart.

Best Thai in the area. We tried it on a whim and now we are in love and recommend it to everyone, and hear nothing but good from them, too. Tippy who runs it is HILARIOUS but also sweet and caring. When she checks on your first bites she actually pauses to talk about the food, spice level, sauces you need, and what you like about it. Food is fast. You’re checked on often. Your business feels appreciated. It’s very spicy. Even a zero or level 1 has a kick. I love torturing myself with spicy foods in general, but I order a 2 or sometimes 3 level. I think 5 would destroy me. Everything has that lime and garlic ZING to it you’re searching for, as you can’t help but scrape your plate. Actually, the portions are usually too big for me in one sitting and I end up with yummy leftovers. Pork skewers: Required!!! Oh my, if you’re looking for your next meat-and-dipping sauce addiction, get those skewers. Tom yum soup, a food I chase, is the best I’ve had and is my go-to. Served in a huge bowl i can’t finish, rather than the itsy portions you get at all the other places. Panang curry and pad Thai are perf. Not greasy. Crab wontons taste real and meaty, not mushy and processed like other places. Basil fried rice is light, bright, refreshing like you would make at home if you could. Not a sugary or salty saturated fat bomb. The larb appetizer is light, zesty, fabulous. Park at H Mart, walk in and turn right, past the phở counter in the front, to the second counter. Prices are better than any Asian genre restaurant in the area, with more authentic flavors.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Tigard. I’ve been eating here for 4 yrs. All dishes $ 7.50 and they cook to your request. Try #35 Noodle soup, #13Tom Kha soup, #14 Tom Yum or any of the curry dishes on a rainy day. Rice dishes are DELISH also.

Had lunch there on a weekend. It is inside of the Hmart, but there is seating area inside. Everything on the menu is $ 7.25, and you can choose your spiciness level from 1 – 5. You can choose between beef, pork, or chicken. I ordered a pineapple fried rice with chicken and level 5 spicy. Didn’t have to wait long for the food. All I have to say is BEST pineapple fried rice ever! It was really spicy though, the server did ask me if I was sure, but I assumed it would be more toned down. However no complains at all, it was amazing. Although I had to use several tissue papers, the spiciness was doable and enjoyable. They used legit pineapple pieces, the meat was nice and tender, there were other veggies. Just so good. If you are in the area and you like spicy food, that taste amazing and isn’t super expensive go try it!

Always delicious! Pad Khee Mao is one of my faves. The Curry Massaman and Larb are delish, but then again everything I’ve had here is. Be sure to order a Thai Iced Tea, so refreshing with this tasty grub!
