Very disappointed with this store and will not be returning. Traded in 7 wii games and received a store credit. Told the credit is stored in their computer system. When we returned months later to buy some games we were told the store credit didn’t exist and we were out of luck. They said they had a computer crash and lost all their records.

Just came here for the first time to trade in video games that we no longer use. I had a ton of questions, and the staff was more than happy to answer every single one. We were able to get a ton of credit for each of the games to apply towards future purchases in the store. We ended up coming out with seven new games after trading in four, and we still have $ 20 in store credit remaining. We will definitely be back!

Let me first say, I do not get any enjoyment out of video games and I don’t care for video game stores. That said, I have been to the Game Star in Aloha twice since moving to the area 2 weeks ago. The employees have provided nothing short of stellar customer service to my son and I and other customers I have seen in the store. They appear to be very knowledgeable too, my son says they are for sure. The store is clean and very well organized. I am pleased with the pricing and trade-​in values and policies. I’m still not excited to go to the store, but I’m much happier going to Game Star than their corporate owned competitor with a similar name.

Only negative thing I could say is that when Xbox one came out, they had one for $ 200 over retail… Which is a no no and a little shady!
Other than that I have been absolutely amazed and blown away by this place and it’s staff! They go the extra mile and are so knowledgeable!

This place looks nice and smells of nostalgia but is completely crooked unless you are, of course looking, for something used. I recently discovered that if you want anything new off the shelf, that you must have at least double the store credit (if you are going to use credit like I was)
This means that if I wanted to buy a 119.99 $ Magic the Gathering box of booster packs that I would need 240 $ in store credit before I could think of purchasing it. I would have to literally bring in 480 $ worth of merchandise, for them to give me half of it (240) in store credit to purchase something brand new at 119.99 $.
Same goes for a new game off the shelf, I would need 120 $ in store credit to purchase a new game at 60 $. GameStar is a complete rip off.
When I called a different location than the one I visited to confirm their bogus policy, it was said that because they give 50% on all items for store credit that they would be losing money if they did it any other way.
Make sense of this a customer and consumer: I bring my 500gb PS3 in, (which retails at 269.99 at Walmart) and they’ll give me 135.00 in store cred. Lets say I pre-​ordered Arkham Origins, when the copy of that game finally arrives it will nearly take all of my 135 $(120 $) store credit to purchase the 60 $ item brand new. Thus I have traded my PS3 for a 60 $ game at double the value. They say they have to do this or they wouldn’t make any money…
In reality, I didnt get 135 $ worth of store credit, I only got 60 $ and a shrug.
this also means that I would have to bring in two 500GB ps3 models in order to get a box of 36 boosters at 119.99.
You can find better prices on the internet, and Gamestop gives me 40%(as a Promember) and its good on all titles, new or used, I don’t like to shop at gamestop but the point is still valid.
I would not recommend this store to anyone, ever, I would, in fact, offer to look for what they needed online for them.

Unassuming from the street, but once inside you find a place that easily rivals any gamestop! Games for any device a great prices, dvds and memorabilia. Makes me need a bigger bank account!
They buy and sell video games, but they do pawn other things online, so you can take in anything of value!

nice people, great trade in values and selection. Old stuff and new stuff. What more can I say.
