Wow! My experience is very similar to what Sam P. experienced! «If this is the type of customer service I received during bidding what should be expected during the actual job?» I called Performance Insulation & Energy Services, Inc. and got Brian. I explained to him that I was having acoustic issues in my new home and needed a consultation and estimate. We set up an appointment. He was on time, personable, professional. Brian came into my home, looked around, took pictures, told me right away what the problem was(the Builder had built, essentially, an amplifier into each townhome via the centrally located, uninsulated, hollow-mantel fireplace — the cost to the builder at time of construction would have been negligible — thin rubber strip on the studs, a solid mantel, insulation) and told me he’d provide a detailed quote. He also disclosed that he was going to make a bid on a home being built by my builder but assured me that he was a professional, that our meeting was confidential, and that I was his client in this case, not the builder, and that he would in fact provide me with the written estimate. I told him that other contractors that have found problems and detailed them to me and told me they’d get me an estimate but have worked with the builder were never heard from again… He again assured me that he was a professional, that I was his client and that would not do the same thing… disappear. I haven’t heard a word from Brian O. He has ignored 2 emails and 3 telephone messages. We had a verbal agreement that he was to provide me with a written estimate & details of the problem. This is very unprofessional. It’s also unethical. The reason I was«attracted» to this particular provider was because he was an Energy Trust of Oregon provider which made me Trust him. He was also Home Advisor Top Rated. I have sent both Energy Trust of Oregon and Home Advisor details of my interaction with this company. I have left this«F» review on Angie’s List as well. I’m very disappointed in the unprofessionalism and lack of ethics. Again. he was in my home, took photos, and told me he’d provide a written estimate. ** *** UPDATE ** *** Got a text message earlier this afternoon saying«on the phone at the moment I’ll call you back» and never got the call back so I was pretty bummed. JUST got an email saying that Bend Operations Manager has been asked to expedite my estimate. That’s great news, right? I think so! Stay tuned for more updates and a whole new review with an upgrade to either A-OK or Yay!(I’m hoping for a Yay! I like Yay!‘s) ** *** UPDATE ** *** Never got the written estimate & details regarding the cause of the problem. Unprofessional, unethical.

I contacted Performance Insulation to receive a quote for insulating my attic and exterior walls. Steve returned my call and offered to schedule a walk through. He agreed to arrive at my home at 5:30PM to accommodate my schedule. He called the night before to confirm the appointment and to let me know he would arrive between 5:30 and 6:30. Here is where things go poorly. Steve never arrived. Steve also did not call me to let me know he would not arrive. It has been five days since the scheduled appointment and I still have not received a call from Performance Insulation & Energy. If this is the type of customer service I received during bidding what should be expected during the actual job?
