A cellphone repair company took my broken phone and made it irreparable. That company replaced my phone with one from Prox. Yet as I was changing carriers, I needed a different phone. The good folks at Prox counseled me about my options, replaced the first phone with a nicer version, didn’t charge the higher price, picked up the shipping, and got it to me quickly. Not quite worth moving across the country to do business there regularly, but almost … Thanks for your courtesy and helpfulness.

In response to the business owners reply. I call them how I see them. I didn’t storm in or out of your establishment. I spent roughly ten minutes inside your small store located under what looked like apartments. You offered me the phone for $ 54.99 and I offered $ 4.99 less than your very high asking price. I don’t know what your highest level of education is but that’s far from offering half price. The phone you offered me was all scratched up and obviously very used. Please don’t misrepresent the quality of your product. Your rude to your customers and you have zero customer service. I will tell everyone I know to stay far away. Regarding my reviews, If I have a good experience somewhere I will state that, if I do not I will not. Piece of advice. Close your doors. Take a business class then reopen once you learn how to operate a business.

There are TWO businesses at this location. I went in with a broken laptop, but ended up with an unexpected great experience on the cell phone side, PROXWIRELESS. Like Beth, the«First to reviewer», I met the cell phone guy who listened to my cell RELATED connectivity problems with my wireless computer ISP equipment. Like a patient bartender, he listened to my sad story of old plans, «upgraded» incompatible equipment and«new»(meaning worse) plans. Not really in the PROX lane. And almost as an afterthought, Dustin was able to find a solution to an obsolete, old cell phone battery issue I had just about given up on. And man, did he save me the hassle of having to change to a «NEW»(meaning MUCH more expensive) plan. The day is approaching when I will have to step up from my «dumb phone» to a «smarter than a fourth grader» phone. When that day comes, Dustin is my «go to» guy. Now tomorrow, I have to «go to» tell my boring computer story to Trevor at «Portland Computer Works» in the same building. Dustin says he’s a wizard… and that’s good enough for me. My two biggest headaches… computers & cell phones… now if they just opened a bar in the same building… JD F
