Sesame Donuts

I love this place! The owner is very friendly and always brings me out the freshest stuff from the back if I ask. Great deal for a coffee and fritter!

Used to love this place when they had friendly service, good donuts and a clean store. Most of the people who work there now act like they are doing you a favor by helping you, donuts are average (donut day is 100 times better) and the place is dirtier than a bad gas station. Floors are filthy and when I took my child to the restroom it was just gross. Lesson learned.

After going to a different location prior, I’m going to have to say that this location is much worse. I went on a Saturday evening with a friend and the place was completely empty. The doughnuts were still good (I’m not too picky with my doughnuts), but tasted kinda stale. A very different experience from my visit to the other Sesame Donuts location. This location had more seating though and an area where you can order Tillamook ice cream. I would recommend the doughnuts with cream fillings because they are the best.

Just had a craving for a bran muffin. Ate it in the and had to turn around and grab another one. Perfect!
The selection of doughnuts looked amazing as well.

This was interesting. I’ve only ever been to one other sesame donut before off beaverton hillsdale and that place seems to have it all together…
This location on the other hand seems that they have a bit to work on.
It was a saturday morning so obviously there’s going to be a line, I came over here after getting a starbucks and it just seemed like no one really knew what was going on there.
I ordered a breakfast sandwich and the girl basically had no idea what i was talking about, then another women came to help me clarify and she also seemed to be a little confused. Maybe she was new, which i understand so maybe it was just overwhelming for her with a bunch of people coming at you with orders.
Once i did finally get the order their the women was very prompt with making it which was nice and the sandwich was actually pretty good for something simple.
I love doughnuts so I probably will be back to try those out but I just hope they get a little more organized by then.

To be fair, I will start off by saying we went in at 7 p.m.
The donuts were kind of stale when we ate one right away. The rest we tried to eat he next day and they were almost impossible to eat, hard and oil logged. On the other hand, I have had other businesses day-​old doughnuts and they’ve been pretty good. They do have a good selection and the staff is friendly but I don’t think I’ll go back for a while. I hope they get better so I can go back and enjoy a good donut. I almost always give places a second try after a while in hopes that they have improved.

I am commenting only on the cleanliness of the space. Donuts are good. My husband had a Shwarma and decided to dine in. The tables were not cleaned and as i looked more closely, the space overall was not properly cleaned. Shwarma was average. This place I am certain would not pass a health inspection. If the unkept, unsanitary public area looks like it does, it worries me ALOT about what you are not able to see.

The donuts are above average but…
It’s really dirty. The seating are is really dirty. The bathrooms have garbage all over the floor and looks like they have not been cleaned in weeks. The bathrooms reminds me of a dirty gas station bathroom. It could make a person wonder what the backroom where the donuts are located looks like. Even my four-​year old was grossed out by the condition of the bathroom.
Just for that reason, I probably won’t be back.

What an interesting little place. Schwarma and donuts! I’ve only been in there for the donuts, but I’ve eaten the schwarma. Schwarma is good, but I don’t know how the service is for that part of the establishment.
As for the donuts, I like them better than grocery store donuts obviously, and I love the ones with custard-​like filling. Yum! I forget, but maybe this donut was the Bavarian Cream or Boston? Some of the other donuts can be very average though. Just gotta pick the right ones I guess.
The service was so-​so. The girl in there seemed bored and wanting us to hurry up and pick all of our donuts. Maybe so she could go back to being bored? I have no idea.
So yes, come in here to grab donuts if you want something better than a grocery store donut and a bit more variety (:

I’ve got to knock this Sesame Donut location way down. My feeling is they are more interested in selling the shawarma food than any donuts. Donuts are a treat, and when I take my daughter, we want a good selection and we want them to be fresh. We went mid-​day today (a holiday) and they had very slim pickings and they weren’t making any fresh in the back. For donuts, we’re going to start going elsewhere.
Plus, gotta say: The signs in the window that warn that they’ll tow you if you park longer than 10 minutes are a real turn-​off. Why so negative? The Starbucks next door brings you most of your business. Be glad the parking lot is full. Plus, you have a dining room. Are you still going to try to tow me if I am sitting in your shop eating your food? Makes no sense and just casts a negative glow over your place.

Very average donuts, expensive for what you get. They talk a good line and tell you about the good stuff, but they didn’t HAVE the good stuff and nothing seemed fresh. They had an ice cream counter and served sandwiches… Donuts may not be their forte.

Love this place! Every one is so friendly! The donuts are delicious. The bagels are also good! That’s about all I’ve really tried so far. My mom use to take us to the other location when we were little all the time and I’m pretty sure it’s the same owners. :) So I love going with my daughter now. Fun spot for breakfast or a snack!

Came into this location because other reviewers said they have maple bacon donuts here– not true. We were told by the clerk that they make them «sometimes,» no set day or time. We ended up purchasing two donuts and they were rock hard and completely dried out. What a disappointment. THROW AWAY the old donuts, it’s not that difficult!
This was our first time here, and we will not be back. We will drive over to Voo Doo where they never run out of maple bacon and they are always freshly made.

I was so excited to find Tiilamook ice cream so close to the relative we were visiting! We walked in and it was empty. I don’t want to exaggerate, but it felt like at least 5 minutes b4 someone came out from the back to help us. Then he passed us on to someone else to take our order after he had already. She asked us what we wanted, we told her. She asked another 2x. The ice cream was really good, but the shakes had too much milk so all you could taste was milk. Service was slow and inefficient which I could understand if someone was in training, but it just «FELT» like a 30 minute adventure for 2 shakes and a couple scoops of ice cream. Donuts looked amazing, but we didn’t try any. Seemed clean. Really just service and staff training seemed «off».

Today was my third and final trip to this donut shop. Today and twice before, the donuts were old and stale. Today i went in at 7am (you would think they would be fresh… right?) I noticed a donut i had never tried before… some daily special donut. Vanilla frosting with cinammon topping and stuffed with blueberry… the boy had about 20 or so of those kind to choose from he purposely picked through and found me the smallest one with the least amount of frosting! And it was dry… i mentioned to my friend it tasted stale… and he took a bite and agreed. They had no maple cruellers, they had no maple old fashioned, so i ordered a maple bar. The maple color looked very strange… like some chocolate got mixed in, so it tasted weird and low and behold it was stale too. I went to say something to the young man workin there… but he was too busy doing something else. I caught the young lady’s eye so she came over, but she hardly speaks any english. She tried to give me another donut which was nice of her, but i didnt want to eat another stale donut. I wanted to tell a manager that the donuts sucked even at 7am. They had to be from the day before… no way were they made that day. Ill never go back. Ill drive up to the place on cornell (8 miles away) to get freshly made product. Too bad.

While waiting at the Providence Urgent Care I saw Sesame Donuts across the street. After I got my daughter checked in & in waiting room I ran over to pick up a few donuts since we hadn’t eaten due to an accident. The shop was cute & inviting, the donuts look good from behind the counter. I bought 3 an old fashioned glazed, a choco covered, a cinn. Crunch… I took a bite as I left the donut was stiff… I realized it was stale right away… I walked back to urgent care & gave my very distressed daughter the old fashion, her favorite. Her’s was very stiff & stake she said. I pulled out the choco covered… Sadly it too was STALE. I think the bags were adorable the guy was nice but the donuts were awful

I came in to order a donut cake. My friends often order a donut cake from the Sesame Donuts on 6 corners, but this location was more convenient. The woman who placed my order I don’t think has ever taken an order for one of these before and hadn’t heard of what I was requesting. The other location often times will do a layered donut cake with some form of cream in the middle, so that’s what I asked for. Turns out, this location just made two donut cakes and layered the filling in the middle instead of cutting just one donut cake in half. Because of this miscommunication, they ended up charging me for two cakes plus $ 1 – 2 extra for the filling. I didn’t get a chance to try the cake, but apparently it was very dense and very good.
I would not recommend ordering a donut cake from this location — go the extra few miles down Scholls and order from the 6 corners location instead.

The donuts are pretty good. They taste much better to me than Voo Doo donuts. Service can be slow at times if you come in there and there is a small line. The employees look like they take their time and aren’t in any rush if there is. Parking is pretty abundant and the place is pretty easy to get to.

Came across this spot by accident on the way to meeting up with friends so I Unilocaled it to see if it was something I’d like to try.
The first thing that caught my eye was the halal bacon maple bar. I read a review that said it was better than Voodoo. Boy, was he right! They cooked the bacon and gave it to me fresh.
The girl who works there is the sweetest thing. She was very helpful and even offered to give me a donut hole for free so I can try it.
I’m so glad I found this donut shop.

I REALLY want to like this place because it’s a local coffee shop. (There’s a Starbucks on almost every other street in this area ugh).
However, I’ve given it a few tries, and it’s just not up to par. Every time I come in the employees don’t know the menu. It takes a while to order, as well as to actually get your order. The food is great. Although, every time I order I get the same thing and the price is never the same since the employees don’t really know what’s going on.
