Looked a little sketchy from the outside, but with good reviews headed through the doorway. Once inside the staff was very friendly and the place was clean. The US soccer game was on all TVs in Spanish and the announcers had everyone pumped. The waitress was very helpful and the smile didn’t leave her face. Food came out fast and was goooood!
Drinks were strong and pricing was decent.
I would return again!

We got some beers, a michelada, a burrito a la crema with chorizo, and the two gorditas. Food was good, nothing extraordinary and nothing bad. This was the first time I had a michelada that wasn’t made at home, and it was also decent. I’m used to them having a bunch of ice, but then again, that means less beer doesn’t it? Maybe they need bigger cups to add in a bunch of ice instead of not a single cube? Still tasted fine though, it just might be my inexperience with the drink or my personal preference.
The restaurant was also clean, they have TV’s with sports on, and the staff I found to be very friendly.

The nice part is that the people are very friendly and so quick to take your order and deliver your food, which is pretty straightforward and decent. Nothing crazy, no frills.
Maybe not so great is the part where it’s on a WW list of «best margaritas in town» and you have your marg-​craving expectations set a little too high. My friend already had the house version when I arrived. She suggested I get something else. I got the special (a mango-​tamarind mix). They were very different creatures, but both could be described aptly with the words «chemical-​ly» and «odd.» Mine had the added distinction of «surprisingly expensive,» which unfortunately wasn’t posted anywhere. Was the inflation possibly related to the rave revieWW? This I can neither confirm nor deny.
All I know is, thanks to my misguided pursuit of an perfect margarita, I spent some «nicer dinner» cash on an pretty «a-​ok» meal.
Lesson learned: don’t always trust a best-​of list. Go make your own.

Came in 2:30 on a Tuesday, friendly, fast, and seriously delicious food. Three crispy tacos for $ 7.75 and an ice tea, hubby had a burrito $ 6.95 and Mexican Coke. Chips and salsa are delish, the salsa has a little kick and is very fresh. Everything is flavored well, it’s a clean, sit-​down, air conditioned establishment and we will be back!

Super disappointed. Only went because of the 4 and 5-​star reviews. The Guarache (con pastor) was bland and burnt.
Ordered a water when I sat down to chips and salsa ready to eat. 10 minutes to get the water which I asked for multiple times.
Ordered an app (queso Mexicano) which never came.
Neither of those things should ever happen and I went when it was slow (Sunday afternoon at 4pm…)
Very very disappointed. Never again going there.

Great food. Really like Bisteka Encebolado and Chimikuri steak and horchata and deep fried ice cream and chip and salsa. Friendly service. Clean. Great atmosphere.

I love this restaurant! The food is super delicious. Everyone that works their is very nice. The prices are reasonable. The food is prepped super fast. They have the best verde sauce. If you like authentic, spicy and delicious Mexican food you must try this place. :)

Really fresh food. I think it’s a bit high as a steak taco is $ 2.75?
Waiter was really nice and attentive. Comp. chips and salsa were ok. If I’m in the area I would come back and try other things on the menu that looked interesting.

There’s a group of decent Mexican restaurants all within 1 mile of each other. This one is probably one of the better ones.
The carne asada was pretty good. They make their own corn tortillas in house. The sopa was just ok. The shredded chicken empanada was decent. Larger than expected with sour cream and cojita cheese on top.
Their menu is pretty extensive and they have a larger room on the side for large groups. It’s about as authentic Mexican as you’ll get in Oregon.

So my fiancé and I are visiting from California. We looked on Unilocal to see what was around the area and this place popped up. Now when it comes to Mexican food (for me) it’s either really great and you want to come back or you never want to see the place again.
This place was amazing! The service was friendly and awesome! The food was very juice, tender and on point! Prices are reasonable. I’m basic and had the two tacos with Barbacoa (excellent meat choice). My fiancé had the wet burrito and it was magically delicious! The wait for food was very prompted for what we ordered. There was some TLC in the food. When we come back to Oregon I would definitely come back!!!

Unprepossessing but don’t be fooled… this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Portland area. Fast personal service combined with a wide choice of options made dinner for two an experience that we intend to repeat. And it was quiet enough for us to talk without shouting.
Our dinners were inexpensive, substantial and very good indeed.

Say what you will about Tigard, but the fact is that when it comes to inexpensive and delicious Mexican food, the town is spoiled. La Fuente has been consistently good for the many years i have gone their. They season/​marinate their meats perfectly, and the staff are professional and polite.

Ok so let me premise this by saying I’ve eaten my fair share of Mexican food in my life. I have usually decided to just order whatever because its so hit and miss and there’s so many variations of each recipe.
I saw the stars and was excited to try it, then I read the reviews and it looked like a mixed bag of thoughts.
I ordered Carnitas de Puerco, chips and guac and a horchata.
OMG!
The meat was tender and flavorful, the portion was huge. The rice and beans were both good; usually this is hit and miss.
The guacamole was yummy and fresh, chips were crunchy and warm, the homemade tortillas were so soft and delicious.
I am a HUGE fan of Horchata and was thrilled when I heard they make their own, it was the best I’ve had since my childhood. The spices they use reminded me of the exact recipe I always look for when I try new places.
I’d have to say one of the best Mexican places I’ve had in Oregon and pretty close to the best I’ve had in California too.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! The outside to this place (ok, and if we’re being honest, the inside, too) is a little rough around the edges.
But the service was great and the food was better! I had the original steak burrito which was stuffed to the brim with steak, beans, rice, cheese, and sour cream.
I have virtually no complaints and will definitely be back!
