This place is a joke, run by incompetent lying floosies. Even though this is Oregon, there are other, BETTER, options for you to choose from. Steer clear of these turkeys.

I’m new to owning a hot tub, and just inherited one from the previous owners of the house we bought. I was a little nervous about maintaining it, so after I hired someone to «decontaminate» the hot tub, I took a water sample in to these guys for a water test. Turns out the test is free — and comprehensive! — and the woman who helped me went out of her way to explain the results to me. She provided clear, step-by-step instructions for the chemicals I should add to balance all the levels. I brought a picture of the leftover chemicals, and she said I had everything I need — didn’t try to sell me anything, and showed me which bottle was which chemical on the instructions. We are running a bromine system, but at my request, she also explained the pros and cons of the other chemical systems: chlorine and mineral systems. Even though I only bought some test strips and a net, she took a lot of time to provide excellent customer service and help me get comfortable with this new responsibility. I’ll be back for more water tests, and to buy more chemicals when my supply runs out!

We maintain our pools and have used this business for years for our supplies. This year we asked them to come out to our apartment complex and shock our pool 1 – 2 times since I was out of state and couldn’t get to it. My tenant saw them their 1 time and called me and said we shouldn’t need a 2nd treatment that the first treatment worked great. I never heard from Pool House again. Then months later I get charged $ 800.00. Never receiving a bill, itemization or a phone call. There is no way that 2 shock treatments cost $ 800.00. If so, I’ll be opening my own Pool & Spa business ! I have called and left 6 messages for the Tigard branch manager Howard Stephenson. Only once did he answer his phone and after I explained my order, he said he’d get right on this and get back to me. I’ve never heard back from him. I have since left him 3 more messages begging him to resolve this and respond via email or phone call. Then out of frustration, I then contacted the BBB to enlist their help — twice. And the Pool & Spa House will not even respond to the BBB. And they’ve closed the complaint as the company will not respond to them either. Now, as a last ditch effort I have now sent a letter to the President, Brendan Reilly. I am happy to pay for the 2 services I ordered. As soon as they respond and bill me for 2 treatments and 2 treatments only. In the meantime, the only communication I get from them is a monthly bill for $ 800.00. I’ve since taken my business elsewhere, however, I want to resolve this and pay for the correct services I ordered. This has been going on for 6 months. Who has time to deal with this month after month? Do not give them your business until they join the BBB as a full-fledged member and improve their rating here on Unilocal.Otherwise you’ll be the next customer logging a poor review :-( I own companies in multiple states and I’ve never dealt with a company more disorganized and non-compliant. Give your business to a reputable company that is associated with the BBB and can stand in front of and behind their services. This is clearly a problem from the top down. As no one from the company would contact the BBB and the service manager for the Tigard store won’t return phone calls. Yet each month they send me a bill. Seems like the only department that works and has follow through is their A/R department. Maybe that manager should be moved to customer service and you’d see some improvement in their Unilocal scores :-(

have been using for years for intermittent service. Used to open pool this year, service was horrendous. Multiple calls, bad techs, and a problem that isnt fixed yet. they will bleed you out slowly.
