I rented two storage units a little less than a month ago. I found their prices to be lower than other places I had looked at in Lake Oswego, and I much preferred their heated facility. It seems like a more secure option, as well. In addition, it has consistently been maintained in an immaculate manner.
What helped make my decision easy, was talking to Anthony. He has consistently been very helpful, organized and reliable. He takes a great deal of pride in running the place efficiently and effectively. On the day I was to move to the storage unit, I told him we would probably be showing up around lunch time. He actually said he would bring his lunch that dat to ensure he was their to facilitate the move. Since then, he has been equally helpful. He runs the place like its his own business. When I was there most recently, he noticed my dog was in my car. He came and asked if he could get her some water, and I actually watched him pull out a dollar and buy her water from the vending machine.
I have made a major effort to maintain communication with Anthony to facilitate a smooth transition. He never seemed to be annoyed by that, and appeared to appreciate the coordination. I hope the facility proves over the next months to be as good as Anthony has made the first month.

I have rented a unit here for 5 years. After the first couple of months, they raised the rent by almost 20% so don’t be fooled by a low quote when you initially contact them. Since then, my account has been automatically paid from my bank account but they seem to have some issues with their accounting because I have twice received notices that my payment is late and I’m being assessed a fee. It is difficult to reach anyone responsible to clear things up and I have had to send proof of payment copies via email. If you’re checking them out, I say keep looking.

I rented a unit here for around seven months and did not have any real complaints about it until the day that I attempted to move out. Each renter is assigned a pass-​code to use the elevators at the facility, without the code you cannot get to your unit. On move out day I arrived at the unit (with movers who I was paying by the hour) at 8:45. am After seven months I could not seem to remember my password, and I could not find any way to contact anyone who could help me. Fortunately the facility was suppose to be staffed starting at 9 a.m., so I sat down to wait so I could ask someone to look up my code. It was nearly 9:45 before an employee actually showed up. I spent the time frantically hunting for ANY way to contact someone (for all I knew no one was going to show up at all). This is suppose to be a 24 hour access unit and part of the reason I chose to rent there was because of their claim of excellent customer service, there was absolutely NO way to get in touch with someone in an emergency or in a situation like mine. The employee who finally showed up was dismissive and told me that she had been running late and that «things happen» and asked what I expected. (answer being I expected the facility to open when it was suppose to rather than 45 minutes later, and I did not want to be snarled at by a woman who wanted to sit and watch TV at the desk.) I moved everything out, the woman checked me out, then made a nasty comment about how I had certainly voiced my concern. Probably the worst customer service I have ever had, there are plenty of storage facilities in the Portland area, save yourself a headache and rent someplace else.
