Just when I thought I’d scored gold on the Billy D beef jerky at a recent liquor store run, I found something even greater in the same aisle. Werner’s Teriyaki beef strips. How they get the meat so tender and moist im not sure. Im guessing they use a slow smoke process first before they do the drying. Beef, brown sugar, soy, onion and a few other spices that they list. Super good stuff

There are several little roadside businesses in this area that feature jerky and beef sticks. This brand was one I found in the Tillamook Cheese Factory retail store, and then Unilocaled to see if it was worth looking for. Then, we opened our little bag of jerky and said, «Yowser!» Tricky to find, there is also no tasting room. Their factory«store» is actually a non-descript old office building out back of the property. But you can purchase their goods there, and actually they had more choices than the cheese factory did. Glad we went. Good stuff. Really. You can also order online.

I have not been to this location, but I have ordered from their website, . I have had the steak bites, beef sticks, and beef jerky, and they are all delicious(in that order)! They use high quality beef, and their products are a little pricey but delicious. Be careful, though, they do use MSG.

WERNER’s smoked beef chunks are serious meat candy. ran across them on a day trip from PORTLAND to the OREGON coast. started with the HONEYGLAZED(sweet, sticky and rich) we nibbled our way thru most of a 12 oz bag waiting in the OAKLANDAIRPORT for our connecting flight home. flew the last five hundred or so miles to SANDIEGO in a meat coma. regained consciousness the next morning, went to their website( ) and ordered one each of their four flavors. will keep you posted.
