On vacation here we decided to give this little place a try. First we had breakfast which I had the philly cheese steak omelet. Was very good just the homefries could have been warmer. Overall breakfast was good for all three of us. Now on to dinner. I had the fresh fried mushrooms. There is enough for 3 people to share this appetizer and they are great. As for my main course the mac and cheese it was just ok. Plenty of cheese but kind of bland. Overall I would definitely recommend the food and the desert as well.

50’s style diner, friendly staff, and really good food. Our waiter was great, and handled split checks for a party of 7 with no problems. Reasonable prices for a tourist/outlet town.

The food was cold and it took almost hour for a burger and some rings. The staff wasn’t great either.

Fun stop on 93 for shopping break or to stretch your legs after long drive. Oldies play in the background while waitstaff makes sure you are comfortable. Good old classics — burgers, fries, sandwiches as well as clams means everyone should find something to enjoy. Kid friendly and reasonable prices make this destination a must

The decision to head over here was last minute and it was a great one! We had some appetizers – the basics(mozzarella sticks and fried pickles) and they were great! My husband ordered the pulled pork melt and the first bite he took his eyebrows shot up then said it was so good! I had the turkey excellent club with some bacon and it was good! Hearty slices of turkey on the sandwich, I was a little upset at the way the bacon was cooked-super chewy, not too enjoyable so I took it off. Our waiter was super nice, as was everyone else in the diner. What was even cooler was all the comics and old magazines they had for sale. And to our surprise it was a car meet up thing, all old cars there to check out and our three year old son was in awe! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in New Hampshire!

Great atmosphere, great people, great food. Cool menu. Authentic Diner and the desserts look good. They make some of their own soda

This updated diner sports all sorts of old paraphernalia, the usual fare and a few curiosities — like fried pickles! They have attracted lots of car enthusiasts and nostalgia buffs. The staff is polite, attentive and courteous. It is conveniently located just off the highway. Definitely worth the effort to check out.

One of the great joys of living in America is experiencing the various parts of USA. Large cities, small towns, provinces, and counties… it is all unique and amazing. One of those very unique characteristics of the US is the good Olé American Diner. I love Diners… It might not be the food that charms me but the service, people, and the ambiance. Fortunately Tilt’n Diner really has all the aforementioned. Great food, service, and ambiance! Tilt’n Diner has an amazing veggie burger! Period. Great pot pies! Great sides etc. Service is very personal and good. Our server Maryann was great… nice person, patient, and efficient. The ambiance is also wonderful: Everybody knows everyone else, people are kind and pleasant. When I was there they were doing an all you can eat Spaghetti fund raiser for some good cause… nice. If you happen to be driving through Tilton… check them out!

This is the perfect place to stop off for a meal when traveling in NH. Super friendly service coupled with a really fun, old-school atmosphere. The menu is extensive and features all sorts of diner staples. My kids enjoyed pancakes while my husband and I split a house-made veggie burger, which was surprisingly delicious. We shared carrot cake for dessert and that was a good choice as well. The only downside is that they don’t brew their own iced tea, which is kind of a must for a diner if you ask me. But overall, this is a great New England diner.

Food was hot, delicious, and reasonably priced. Love the throwback décor. Best part was the friendly service. Highly recommend!

On our way home from a lovely weekend skiing in New Hampshire we saw the diner sign out front. It really caught our eye, so we decided to stop in for some lunch and a milkshake. As soon as we entered we were greeted and quickly placed at a table. The service was quick and friendly, and the sole reason I am giving this place 2 starts. The atmosphere was nice, and it seemed like a good place to bring kids. However the food was pretty terrible. Nothing about it impressed us at all. We were expecting to go into a diner and get typical diner food. It was definitely below par, and overpriced for the amount of food received. The milkshake was noting special, and honestly you could get a way better one at McDonald’s. It’s safe to say we won’t be returning.

Love it here! The décor is really cool and so is the food. So many different options. This is a good place to come after a trip to the outlets.

I’ve always driven by this place, but I never stopped in because it looked so busy. I was in the area with a friend and we tried to go in on a Sunday morning, but there was a 30 minute wait for a table for 2 and we had to be somewhere and were unable to stay. We went to the small Upper Crust Pizzeria that is in the plaza behind the diner and had a great meal. On my way back home, I tried visiting the diner again because I had a long drive home. Sure enough, I was able to get a seat, but it was still busy even at 7/8pm. I ordered an ice cream soda, which was alright, might just not be my thing. For my meal, I ordered the Cadillac, which was 2 eggs(over easy), homefries, bacon, sausage, toast, and pancakes or french toast. I got one of each. The meal was extremely good. There was a small issue, and management took care of it for me immediately. I will definitely visit if I am in the area again and in the mood for breakfast. Also, as a forewarning to people not from the area, TILTONTAPWATERISDISGUSTING and tastes like metal. This obviously is not the Tilt’n Diner’s fault(it is the town of Tilton’s fault), but come prepared with bottled water or order a drink while there.

Absolutely delicious! Love all the Common man restaurants, and had never been here. My last morning in tilton for the weekend, decided to stop in for the breakfast buffet. Michelle, my waitress was wonderful and personable, definitely a great asset to the diner. The buffet had everything you would want for breakfast including eggs, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruits and the best roast beef hash. Carrie, another waitress/cook had made an unbelievable egg calzone! Definitely worth a stop in when in the area! Great job!

Ok tilt n diner-good effort for concept and I actually do like diners(if the food is done well) but like most of the other common man restaurants-it is mediocre at best. I have had a few things here as it is convenient to the highway but I have to say I will not be bad. Food tastes like it has been sitting around. Gravy-days old… when I asked the waitress what the soup of the day was she laughed… I am assuming that they are taking that as more of a suggestion. The shepards pie had glue for mashed potatoes. Glue-first, red potatoes are not great to make mashed with anyway-never mind if they are going to be sitting around. Would give this 2.5 but I like the concept and our waitress was really nice-but other than that, drive ONBY!!! Common man needs someone to do quality control on all of their places. Too bad.

Sorry Tilt’n, but you’re no more than a three star establishment now. My brother and I have always been excited to eat breakfast here before our annual pilgrimage to Funspot, and unfortunately this time our breakfast left a lot to be desired: 1. The waitress was a bit apathetic and never asked to refill our coffees. 2. She gave me one small pat of butter for my biscuit, and none for my brother’s dry toast. 3. They use small eggs as my fried eggs looked like they came from baby chicks. The next time we head to Funspot we’re going to see what else is around for breakfast as the 50’s diner vibe is neat but not enough to make up for just an average breakfast experience.

I was staying at the nearby Super 8 and decided to come here for dinner after running a marathon earlier in the day. Since I was by myself, I grabbed a seat at the counter. The menu was pretty simple with a lot of good eats. After going through the menu, I went with one of my favorites, the chicken fried steak. *Chicken Fried Steak* This has always been one of my favorite foods to get at a diner. Theirs was good! It came with a dinner roll, mashed pumpkin, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Overall: Good service. Good food. Good prices. I would definitely come here again!

My family and I have been here a couple of times. With our son going to college in NH, this is a nice spot to catch breakfast on Sunday morning before heading home. The place is always packed and very nostalgic atmosphere. Both times we got the breakfast buffet. Not bad(my favorite is the sausage gravy over the home fries), but both times we got it we asked ourselves if it was actually worth the price of $ 10.99. Next time I think we will just order off the menu. I am a huge fan of corned beef hash and you can only get that from the menu. It’s not in the buffet. I would recommend this place and will up my star rating after I order straight off the menu.

We visit twice a year or so and always have great service and food. We were there tonight and it was as consistant as it’s always been. The waitress was fantastic, and food as well. I’ve had some amazing full belly clams, but nothing compared to what I had tonight. HUGE bellys with no fishy taste, they were perfect. I’m thinking to drive an hour there to have them again soon.

Visited the Tilton Diner while traveling for work. Had dinner last night and while I hate to say the food left something to be desired the staff were incredibly friendly and funny and the atmosphere was just a cute, cool diner. I had steak tips, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Unfortunately the steak was overcooked, the broccoli undercooked and the mashed potatoes and gravy were cold. I did however get a great piece of peanut butter pie! Would definitely go back for dessert and perhaps will try their breakfast before I leave.
