My fiancé and I came on a Saturday night during restaurant week for a date night. We were not disappointed!!! When we arrived it was very hard to find parking because they were so busy. We went to the bar for a couple minutes while we waited for a table and had drinks. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The décor was beautiful and there is an up stairs with a large room for parties. The food was fantastic. We had the seafood bake and Caesar salad for appetizer. I had the mahi mahi with lobster sauce and asparagus. It was delicious. My fiancé had the crab cake sandwich and said that it was really good as well. We got dessert to go because we were so full from our dinner. Everything was very clean. Overall, our experience was great and we cannot wait to go back.

My husband and I went today and just had a wonderful time! I had been craving a good steak for months but I had no idea it would be this good! We also had the cream of crab soup and the calamari appetizer. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Our waitress, Tiffanie, was so pleasant and the bill was very appropriate(being lunch time and during restaurant week). We will be back!

nice ambiance but tuna tasted metallic. The Caesar salad had really great fried avocado, never stumbled upon that before! If I could do it over again, I’d get the ahi tuna medium-rare because it was too metallic tasting to really enjoy. The brûlée dessert was delicious.

Went for restaurant week last night. This place is huge! I was a little sad when the hostess led us to a booth all the way in the back corner of the restaurant, but it was quiet and our waitress was great, so that was good.(Next time I’d love to sit I the room off of the bar on the left.) I got the poached pear salad, the sea bass and the peanut butter bar for dessert. I really enjoyed all three courses and the soft, warm rolls that they bring you to start with were an excellent addition. The poached pear salad had an unexpected apple cinnamon tasting dressing that was perfect in this salad. The sea bass was huge and I really loved the vegetable noodles that it was served on top of. Typically, I feel like restaurant week desserts are throw aways, but this one was the star of my meal! I was so full but managed to finish it. It had a crumbly Oreo crust, whipped peanut butter filling and marscapone on top. The service was also excellent. Our waters were always filled, the pacing of the courses was not rushed and timed very well, and a manager(?) came over and introduced himself to all of the tables in our area to see how everything was. Plus, for $ 35 I thought this was a bargain! I would definitely go back.

Besides the fact that the food was awesome, the service was above and beyond! I wish I could remember the servers name(I think maybe Olivia) surprised me with a candle and dessert for graduating with my Masters! My parents, fiancé, and myself went following Towson’s graduation last week and it was a very appreciated surprise from the server and restaurant. Not to mention the dessert was yummy too! Highly recommend this place all around! :)

Came here for Restaurant week and had a steak and crab cake. The steak was done well and the crab cake was decent but not as good as Pappas(just down the road in Cockeysville). It’s American cuisine which means there isn’t very much variety. I was actually taken aback at how few selections, especially for vegetables, there were on the menu. It seemed to be asparagus and potatoes or nothing! I might come back but would rather try to find another place first since it is a little on the pricier side(I prefer meals under $ 20).

I would like to give this one 3.5, but it errs on the side of better rather than worse, so we’ll round them up. They were very clean, and the food was a decent quality, though I’m not certain I felt the price to value portion was on board. They were out of a particular fish for the dish I ordered, so we subbed it and it held up decently. Four people for dinner was well over $ 120, and while it was a lovely atmosphere, it wasn’t at the very top of my list to go back to. A quiet dinner that I have to stay in Timonium for? Absolutely, but given the choice I’d go elsewhere. Again, nothing specifically negative, but I’ve eaten at so many restaurants in my time that it has to pop or else it fades for me.

While in the area for a conference, my colleague and I stumbled upon Blue Stone. There didn’t seem to be much else in the way of good eats in this immediate area, so I’m happy we came across this. Blue Stone is huge and well-appointed. Service, from the hostess to server to manager, was fantastic all-around. My colleague liked her fish special(mahi-mahi, maybe) and I loved my fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was perfectly crisp and so was my side of fries. My only issue was the forgot the cheese, and I’m not sure how that happened, since it was not a special request. They took the sandwich back immediately and fixed it. We wished we had gotten dessert, and if I get back here, I’d like to try it. I’d return if in the area again.

Several friends recommended this place and I was not dissappointed after my first visit. It is a very spacious restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was really good as well as the service. The only downside is the location, just a bit too far from where I live!

I took my mother to this restaurant after doing a Unilocal lookup close to where she lives. This was also my first meal since returning from an extended Asian trip. Our waitress was Chrissy and she was simply wonderful. She was attentive proactive and very accommodating. She should be teaching customer service to the rest of the world! I requested to know the specials. She was hard pressed to pick out just one meal but pointed out the Chrisfield seafood stew. I am not a big stew fan but i took a stab at this one. The bowl was huge and stuffed so full of high quality seafood I cannot see how they make money on this dish? With just a slight spicy tang to it I can say that that stew was worth every penny and I will now make it a tradition when in Baltimore. It is worth hunting this place down. Best money I spent on a lunch for years! 5 stars.

My husband & I visited for the first time this evening. We were celebrating my birthday & it happened to coincide with restaurant week. Also being a Tuesday, it was ½ priced appetizers. With restaurant week, you got a 3 course meal: salad or soup, entrée, dessert. We decided to get the Hot Seafood Bake for the appetizer. It was delicious. The dip was still bubbling when it arrived and the pita chips were freshly made.(forgot to snap a picture before it was gone) For my meal, I selected the cream of crab soup, tenderloin & crab cake, & the crème brûlée. The soup was perfectly seasoned & a good portion. The entrée came with seasoned mashed potatoes & asparagus. The tenderloin was cooked just as requested(medium) had a great flavor & texture. The crab cake was almost nothing but chunks of crab meat. On to dessert! They brought my brulee out with a candle in it :). The top was crunchy but not burnt. The berries were very fresh & complimented the sweet creamy custard well. You could see the Vanilla beans in the custard. My husband got the Bluestone Salad which he ate quickly since it was so good! He liked the crunchy sweet bacon pieces on top which really made this salad unique. For his entrée he got the 2 jumbo crab cakes. They were just like mine, full of crab meat! The entrée came with asparagus & red potatoes. He also got the crème brûlée(minus a candle) & enjoyed it just as much.

This is a place a found during the Baltimore County restaurant week. I have been in the area many times before but never really noticed it. It’s a little off the beaten path but right near York Rd. The parking lot was pretty bug and looks like they share it with several neighboring business in somewhat of an industrial area. The décor looks very formal and you could have a nice dinner for a special occasion here. I did feel a little under dressed with my shorts and t shirt lol but really I didn’t care. I came during lunch time and it wasn’t crowded at all. I was immediately seated and ordered a sangria. The waitress I had was super friendly and told what she liked there. I had the pre fixed menu with cream of crab soup as my appetizer and the seafood BLT sandwich with French fries as my entre. The cream crab was pretty good, it was a small portion(cup sized) but its what you would expect for a appetizer to moisten your pallet. The main course was the seafood BLT. It was potato roll with a crab cake, shrimp salad, bacon, lettuce and tomato. It was gigantic and honestly I didn’t know how to fit it in my mouth. I had to take it apart and eat one layer at a time. The Crab cake was good, not the best I have ever had but they did use mostly lump crab meat and thy didn’t over season it. The shrimp salad was a little bland for my taste but they did use jumbo shrimp in it. The bacon was crisp and the tomato was fresh. The lettuce was, well lettuce, I mean it’s just there for show. The sangria was great I only had one but I could see myself having a few on a Sunday brunch. Over all two thumbs up and I’ll be back.

We went here for restaurant week, and it was great! We ordered the cream of crab soup and the tomato-mozzarella salad to start, and the«fish of the day»(which was a fried soft-shell crab), and the Crisfield stew for our main courses. Our waiter, Bob, was very enthusiastic in his suggestions and made sure our glasses of water were always full.(I drink a lot of water.) :) Our food came very quickly. The crab was served with a side of asparagus and potatoes, and was delicious. However, the highlight of the day was definitely the Crisfield stew — it came in a generous portion with a hefty chunk of baguette, and was so filling that I couldn’t finish it by myself. It’s similar to bouillabaisse, with mussels, shrimp, and white fillets in a tomato vegetable base. Unfortunately, there was no room in either of our stomachs for dessert, but if I ever want the stew again, I’ll know where to look.

Overpriced… Overpriced… Overpriced That’s really the first word that comes to mind as I write this review. Now there’s no doubt that blue stone is a beautiful restaurant that uses quality ingredients. I really do think that the new addition they built on to the restaurant is a great place to have a party too. However I just can’t get over the price to food ratio dilemma. For $ 30 I got a relatively small piece of rockfish over some quinoa. Call me a pig but I don’t like to leave dinner still hungry. Especially when it’s $ 30 an entrée. And I was. My mom got one crab cake and it was just pathetic. For the price they should have given her something twice the size. Even the sides were a joke. Four pieces of asparagus and a handful of potatoes?!! They feed you better at Arby’s. Other people in our party got the salmon entrees and Tuna. Again I’m not saying the quality necessarily isn’t there but these portions were just not adequate. Everyone was still not satisfied after we finished. We aren’t complainers or big people either. Ok so the positives… Our caprese flatbreads were very good and not outrageously priced. Perfectly crispy crust with a nice arrangement of tomatoes and cheese. Definitely recommended. The grapefruit cocktail was also quite refreshing and not overly sweet. But the best item of the night was by far«The snowball» dessert which was delicious. It’s the sole reason I’m giving bluestone three stars instead of two. They take this ball of awesome blueberry ice cream and place it on top of this delicious butter crust. Definitely awesomeness in my mouth. Still thinking about it. But alas I can’t see myself driving 45 minutes to grab a meal here. Maybe if I lived close by and wanted to go out for a drink after work or for lunch one afternoon. There’s just too many other places out there who are serving the same kind of food but doing it a lot better.

I wasn’t to impressed with the crab cakes. However, they were decent, but not the best. Everyone in my party ordered the filet with the crab cake. The filet was tender, but the balsamic reduction was not a good compliment to the filet. For appetizers we had the calamari and shrimp flatbread which were both good as well. My mother in-law and I had the Sangria which was tasty. I probably would have returned in the future, but at the end of our meal a huge fly flew from out of the bottom of my mother in-laws salad.

Went here today with a large group to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Reservations were easy, with a nice follow-up to confirm yesterday afternoon. When we got there, they had a table set up with servers waiting attentively. The service was awesome, the food was even better. I had been here a few times before and honestly was ambivalent about my experiences in the past, but I knew my parents love it here. Today I was sold. William was always around, friendly and really patient with my little kids. I ordered the seared Yellowfin, which was just how I like it. It was seared well on the outside with a firmness and texture that complimented the substantive thickness like a perfectly broiled steak. The fried calamari and cream of crab soup were some of the best I’ve had. The flavors were rich and savory, that were met with a crisp crunch and smooth coating over lumps of sweet blue crab meat. I ended my meal with the hot blondie sundae, creamy vanilla ice cream and deep chocolate sauce over a cookie square. In my mouth so fast I never got a picture.

Work took me to Timonium and in my opinion this place is the best fine dine is and around this area. Their sea-food selection is very good. I have the Crab stuffed fish and it came with broccolini and mashed potatoes. It is just right. No extra unnecessary grease. The flavor was perfect and it was cooked to perfection. I also like how they serve the hot teas — they bring you an entire box of teas to choose from. It misses one star because they do not have any vegetarian options(considering it is the one of the very few fine dine restaurants in this area) except 2 salads and a caprese flatbread.

Would do two stars but since this is based on my first and last visit, I thought I would stay neutral. Table for one(on business) doesn’t get the attention that other tables get. I sat awhile before the waitress came to my table. I noticed all of the tables had bread and I was wondering why none was delivered to my table. Well it did, but it was about 25 minutes later when the tuna app was delivered. My water glass was always empty. I ordered the single crab cake which was good, but the potatoes and asparagus were very bland. I didn’t eat them after a few bites and my plate was still pretty full when waitress took it. $ 32 later and very underwhelmed.

My 2nd Trip to Blue stone. It was Friday Evening and very busy. My server was very personable. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered great advice from the wine lists. I had the scallops with black rice. The scallops and the rice were both a tad under cooked. So you can imagine mushy scallops and crunchy rice. For the price point of their menu I expected a better food experience. Service was A-OK, Wine A-OK, Food just OK
