Great gravy! Interesting and tasty specials. Inviting and relaxing atmosphere. Best Italian wine selection in baltimore. Quality products made with pride.

I went to this restaurant for the first time to celebrate my son’s graduation from middle school. The ambiance was charming, waitress very friendly and polite, and food was excellent. It was the best Italian sub I’ve ever had — on freshly baked bread. The server surprised us with a plate full of freshly made doughnuts… congratulating my son and his friend on their graduation. It was a wonderful touch! I’ll be back for happy hour soon!

I love their pizza, best in Baltimore! My other favorites are the Bolognese and the Carbonara. They have a great wine selection and the gelato is a must have!

I was there with family last weekend. The staff was very accommodating to our large group. The waiter was very attentive, though some of our courses were slow to arrive(it was very busy even though it was early evening). The meals were fine with one comment– everything had way too much SALT, some so much I could not eat any of it, the plain cheese pizza, for example. I would recommend CuVino to my friends and would return, but ask them to leave the salt out of the recipe, especially in view of today’s news from the FDA.

Nice dining room, good service but 2 of the 4 dinners were salted to the point it was inedible and returned to the kitchen. Neither the owner who was omnipresent nor the chef came to the table to apologize/rectify. Will not be back!

Had lunch there today! Everything was delicious! We had the rusticana pizza, mozzarella and prosciutto sandwich and two salads! Off the charts yummy! Can’t wait to go back now for dinner!

The wine list was meh by the glass. The bartender was meh. Dinner consisted of cheese pizza for one in our party and the dough was slightly undercooked and a bit too thick. The sauce was basic — nothing to write home about. Chicken Piccata was too salty. Side salad was good mix of greens but a bit heavy on the dressing. The only highlight was our server who was very personable. I would go here only if my expectations were to get something quick, I lived in the immediate area and I didn’t want to drive too far. Otherwise there are so many other better choices. I can only say I hope their kitchen steps up their game because the place could have a lot of potential.

Dined here 3 months ago and loved it. Came back last night and was disappointed. The waiter and staff were not that attentive — one person was clearing the plates while the other was trying to deliver our main courses — awkward. Fried calamari was OK– too much batter. The bruschetta with ricotta was good — different take on a classic. The table bread was a big disappointment. Side caesar salad had a good dressing. The veal saltimboco was skimpy on the meat. The seafood stew had gerous portions of shellfish, but sauce was bland. Misto Casino was fine. As for desserts, the Gelato was not cold enough and came somewhat melted and mushy. Too bad.

We have been to the restaurant a number of times since it opened and since my initial 4 star review. 5 stars! Hostess Rita continues to be a welcoming presence with her warm, friendly smile. The food is top notch; the service is terrific; there is a wide variety of wonderful selections(love the pizza, the chicken parm and the gnocchi in particular). Owner/manager Ralph makes it a point to stop by tables and check in with customers about their dining experience. We had an 85th birthday dinner for my mother-in-law earlier this year and the staff went out of their way to make her dinner very special. Nice job CuVino’s!

Recently had dinner here. Absolutely top-notch place. You can trust the waiter when he/she says the veal is good. It was perfect. Wonderful attention to details – nothing over-seasoned, delicious house-made focaccia, high quality olive oil, perfectly prepared and presented by a courteous and professional wait staff. An enviable wine list rounded out the meal. Not a budget place, but you get your money’s worth. Highly recommended!

Bummer. Bad bad service. Waitress was disinterested. Never brought us the yummy sliced focaccia bread with our meals and couldn’t be found to be asked. Salad plates still sitting on table when dinner arrived. Asked to pick up my dirty fork and hold it while she bussed table and put down dinner plates that were now sitting. Didn’t bus our dinner plates completely when dessert came out. Told her table sharing one big gelato ice cream and still only brought one spoon. Was busy talking to people at bar and waited for check. Finally asked her for it and gave us annoyed look. We told hostess when she came by about service issues and she said she would mention to manager but no one came around or apologized. Food great but really??? Get the service together. Excellent meal, excellent service, great portion size. When we were seated told ahead of time by hostess the kitchen was running behind. Appreciated the heads up. However the food still seemed to come out in a timely manner. Our waiter was an older gentleman and he was very attentive and was always hurrying around. Food came out crazy steaming hot! They had some great restaurant week offers.

Good. Not great. Was a little disappointed in the pollo rollatini. Small portion and the chicken was slightly dry like it baked too long and the juices baked out(if you’ve baked chicken breast often enough, you’ll know what I mean). Wife had gnocci and was pleased with it, otherwise I’d have given 3 stars. There are at least 2 better Italian places within 3 miles of this place and Little Italy is 20 minutes away. Probably head to one of those other places before here again. In a place fairly well saturated by mid-range Italian restaurants, Cu Vino was unfortunately not good enough to stand out. Good service. Polite staff. Nice interior that’s much larger than it looks from outside.

Awesome pizza, salad, pasta and home made gelato along with a great selection of Italian wines to drink in or carry out. This is a great place for either a quick slice or sub from the counter or a full on 4 course Italian sit down meal.

Went with another couple for dinner last night and we had a great time. The place was packed; every seat was filled. Good thing we made a reservation! Started with the grilled portobello topped with Gorgonzola and scallions. I didn’t realize it would only be one mushroom until it arrived, but it was good. Not much if you want to share though, and i would have liked a little bit more cheese because not every bite got some. My husband got the house salad. He asked for red wine vinaigrette instead of the creamy Italian and they forgot and brought it with the original dressing. He ate it anyway but that was kind of annoying. I had the pesto rigatoni. It was good! My only caveat is that it is a very creamy pesto. Not your typical herby, thick, pasty pesto that you may be expecting. It was like a cheesy cream sauce with lots of herbs and garlic. Like an Alfredo with basil… also it was kind of strange that my rigatoni portion was so small. The gnocchi was huge and those are more filling than rigatoni. The portion sizes seem inconsistent and I was wanting more. Finished the meal with 2 perfect chocolate chip cannolis.

Three stars because I really want to give this place another chance. My parents eat here and said it’s fabulous. I can only speak on the one time I’ve been. My husband and I made reservations for CuVino for Valentines Day. The atmosphere is wonderful and our waitress was very good. When the menu was brought over, I was immediately turned off. It was a special Valentines Day menu with four apps to chose from, four entrees, and desert. That’s it. Two of the entrees were pretty expensive so that left us with two to chose from. I went with the fish, my husband went with the steak medallions. While still tasty, my fish was EXTREMELY salty. Salty to the point I went through two bottles of water myself. My husband said his steak was good but there really wasn’t much to it. I think if we had more to chose from, our experience would have been a little better. Like I said, I will definitely be giving this place another shot. I hear the pizza is excellent.

more like a 4.25. Solid food, and much better than most places north of 695. After moving to the burbs, we’ve been searching for decent Italian food and pizza. Cuvino satisfies both of these finally. Service is friendly and pretty efficient. The NY style pizza– slightly charred under-crust, and a good amount of toppings. Very satisfying. The grilled calamari– capers and olives– tasty and reminiscent of cuttle fish in Spain. The gnocchi– great texture. The carbonara– good sized serving, would be better with a little more parmesan and crispier pancetta. The bread before dinner was fantastic but could use a higher quality olive oil to match. The gelato– only ok. The caramel tasted fake. I’m glad these guys are in the area and wish them success. It’s a welcome oasis to an otherwise deserted dining scene of northern Baltimore County.

Would go 4.5 on this one(but cant). We’ve been to a few restaurants in Little Italy and have always been disappointed. Would all be like going to the restaurants just across the street from the Coliseum in Rome– just tourist places with minimal repeat business and only so-so food. We had four dishes– the lasagna was unbelievably good! Definitely order again and take another one home. Sicilian pizza was good but would try thin crust next time. My wife had the lemon piccata — meh. The sauce was too gelatinous– we both agreed. I had the gnocchi with peas in red sauce– excellent! They should be commended on their wine list too– a whole page of $ 25 options– Thank you! Dessert was good — had a few grappas to choose from which were reasonably priced($ 6) but were only so-so. Could improve that selection a bit. Went back a second time after having dinner at La Scala in little Italy downtown. Not great so decided to go back to CuVino for dessert and coffees. Much better.

I had heard tell of a new Italian spot up in the Valley and in my effort to support local north Baltimore dining establishments off I went. Ignore the strip mall surroundings, this place is beautiful inside. The menu is a treasure trove of traditional Italian treats and they have an amazing wine list personally curated by the owner. I chose the eggplant stuffed with ground beef in their home made cherry tomato sauce. The sauce was great but a little higher eggplant to breading ration would have been welcome. Warm herb focaccia with olive oil for dipping was great as was the Sicilian wine that the owner recommended. My friend got the seafood stew which was spectacular. I finished with the Tiramisu, which was clearly home made and not too sweet, tasting of espresso, mascarpone and cacao. This is a great new neighborhood spot with top tier wine and food, all at fair prices.

Updated: Normally we avoid a place that serves a bad meal… However last time all else was not just good but outstanding! Went for pizza– Nonna with pepperoni and shrooms– AWESOME!(Note Nona is pretty cheese less but still good– add Parm at table!!) Caesar salad rich and meaty with egg and bacon… No fails tonight!’ Wine excellent– picked up nice bottle for home with expert advice! Crust on pizza was crisp and light; mushrooms were shiitake and fresh; pepperoni crispy and spicy– I like this place!’

The grilled calamari starter with capers was exquisite and a 5 star dish. So fresh and perfectly cooked. When you have the best ingredients, simple is usually better. This dish shines. The Bucatini Bolognese was also perfect. Paired with the house bread it was perhaps too easy to sop up every bit of goodness. The side house salad was certainly worth the $ 4 and the $ 9 chianti by the glass was also worth every penny. The owner’s and staff were friendly and have a real gem on their hands. Congrats to them. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. So why not a fifth star? The dessert did not match up with the rest of the meal. We had the roasted almond cannoli. While it looked great, the shell was subpar and stale and the ricotta had much room for improvement. Perhaps Vaccaro’s and Di’Pasquale’s have me spoiled. Next time I’ll opt for the fresh zeppoli, tiramisu, or homemade gelatos which all looked very good. Definitely support this place. It’s straight up legit Italian.
