Nice place to shop The people are really nice We love coming here always new stuff to look at They don’t take just anything like some of the other consignment stores. I like the fact that the stuff is in really good shape

This place is the greatest resale ever! I have both sold and bought from this shop — never overpriced and great quality name brands! Look here first before going to the mall!

Horrible! Travel from downtown Chicago to support the businesses on Oak Park today. By 11 a.m. already spent $ 300 went into the consignment shop had about 60 dollars worth of items my 4 year old grandson had to use the bathroom and they refused to let him potty. He is 4 years old they told me to go across the parking lot to a restaurant and come back. Never will I support anyone that doesn’t show kindness to a child. Not even kindness. How about some dignity for a child just learning how to go to the bathroom ridiculous so if you’re going to shop there make sure you have no issues and don’t bring a child.

I love coming here! I have gotten great deals on current styles. I grabbed a White House, Black Market blazer that was still on their website for double what I paid here. They have upscale brands and all the clothes are in great condition. Awesome jewelry selection and everyone has been super nice.

Ok. this place went from 5, then 3 stars. Now I give it 1! I AMLIVIDWITHTHISPLACE!!! I brought in several items to consign The saleswoman told me, that they would email me the items, and the prices they put on them. Well, I IMMEDIATELY replied back, letting someone know that several of my items were waaaay underpriced. No one got back to me. After 3 or 4 days. I called, and explained, that no one contacted me. She tells me, OH, YOUUSEDTHEWRONGEMAILADDRESS! ! WTF??! I used the email address you used, when you contacted me! So, I decided to go into the store, and see if they ever changed the prices. THEYDIDNOT!!! I had a very expensive hat, that I originally paid $ 50 for. they sold it for a lousy $ 7.00, which means I got $ 2.80. I also mentioned in my email, that they had a $ 5.00 difference on 2 of the same items. WHODOESTHAT? ?! ABSOLUTELYRIDICULOUS! !! ANDUNPROFESSIONAL. . I’LLNEVERCONSIGNWITHTHISPLACEAGAIN.

Love this cute consignment shop. Its a pleasure to give the independent family owned store my business. They are selective in the items they take and that is for a good reason. Its called«upscale» Its a great way to pass on clothing and other items that you are no longer in need of. I have been shopping there since they have opened. One of my favorIte places to just go and browse and see what kind of treasure I can find. I have read some of the other reviews on here with complaints about how much something sold for. Something is better than nothing. Otherwise it sits in your closet forever or in some landfill. Why not pass on your goods and make a little extra money. I keep a running balance there for the times I feel like shopping they just deduct from my balance. I love the new look! The beautiful, unique hand crafted jewelry by Linda of Avondale Designs is one of my favorites. Stop by check it out… some days you’ll miss but some days you’ll hit. Kudos to you Attic door for thriving through the ups and downs of the crazy economy through the years. You are obviously doing something right! My dream is to own a store just like this one day.

This was my first experience with consignment-don’t know that I’d do it again. They take a whopping 60% and you get 40%. I ended up selling probably 12 items including 2 pairs of dkny jeans, a nike top, a couple of Chico’s tops, etc and ended up with approximately $ 30. When my contract was up, I called to confirm the date and they agreed but then said they didn’t know if my remaining items would still be there in two days when I planned to pick them up.(My first thought was – they’ve been there for 90 days and now you think they’ll be gone in two???) Anyway, I don’t think it was worth it. I’d try craigslist or ebay next time.

Have you ever experienced such rude service that it inspires you to share your experience with others? I had this experience at the following consignment shop located in Tinley Park: The Attic on Oak Park Ave. Unfortunately not alot of consignment exists in these parts(Tinley Park, that is). The owner was curt and short on the phone. Okay, fine. I get that. People multi task and answering the phone can be tiresome thing to do in an in person service environment. Once I got there someone told her I was here with my Grandma’s things and she walked up with no greeting whatsoever and prodded and poked thru the stuff and looked at me and in her same curt manner on the phone said«Soooo… what are YOU expecting to get for THESE?» Just her tone said it all. It went on from there. She insulted my Grandma’s impeccable and well stored items. The way she stated it is what I’m talking about here. Finally after a couple more minutes of this I told her that I was having a very unpleasant experience with her service and she then glared at me and refused to continue to work with me. I told her I knew that she was the owner of the shop because usually only owners can get away with such behavior. She snapped back that yes, indeed, she was the owner. Wow … I was amazed at such poor service. There is more to her behavior but hopefully the point is made here sufficently! :)
