I am in the area a every couple months for work and I always come here for lunch! One of the best Italian deli’s I am aware of in NJ. I’ll be there today, actually, and I’m very much looking forward to it!

Unquestionably the best subs in New Jersey, which puts it in the running for best subs worldwide. The prepared dishes are also amazing. Great rice balls, great antipasto items.

Can’t say enough great things about this place. Outstanding, magnificent, tremendous, and just out of this world. Their food is on point every time I go for lunch. Love their eggplant. I’ve tried a few different things including fish just great. The staff is extremely friendly. Just a great bunch of people always helpful and professional. Keep up the great work. Five stars in my book.

Can you say ‘Jimmy Puke-ys‘?. It must be this guy‘s relatives positing good reviews for this overpriced mecca of sh – y food. Should have known when the(nice) girl packed my riceballs into a see through container and they started breaking apart right then and there that they would be as dry as the Sahara. I bought 85.00 worth of food I was hoping to be delicious(all kinds of salads, strombolis, breads). The bread was the best b/c they don‘t make it so that‘s a plus. Stuffed peppers and mushrooms-fail-tasteless/bland/dry.Sausage & Pepper stropmboli my small $ 12 hunk was dry and very ‘bready‘, more dough than meat. The pedestrian macaroni salad was 5.49lb. It was average at best. Why the need to charge 5.49 for macaroni salad?. I get if you use the overpriced excuse of imported meats/oils etc in other goods but this is plain as it gets mac salad, maybe 2.49−3.49 range. So for $ 85 I got great bread, overpriced goods, dry and tasteless goods. We threw out almost everything. As an Ital American, it always amuses me when a fellow Italian opens up a deli, that he feels his mdse is so far above the fray that he can justify the prices he charges when in reality you are paying for perhaps the ambiance(throw in some floor tile and sinatra in the b/g and you can justify the pricing perhaps?). This is a fail as a consumer and a laugher as an Italian

Ever since my parents moved to the area, I’ve passed this place numerous times without giving it a second look. Then recently my mother mentioned that they had great chicken salad, so I stopped by for a pound on the way home. Mom was right, it was probably the best chicken salad I’ve ever had. A bit pricey at over $ 9 a lb, but worth it. Next time back I picked up some of their Bolognese sauce and their vodka sauce and they were outstanding, as was the stromboli I ordered for lunch. Not a clunker yet here.

Without going into details I received a message from the owner regarding my review. While they were disappointed in me posting it, I was offered to contact them and I would be offered a GC to try them again. I appreciate the offer. This tells me they are interested in their clientele and reputation which is a plus. I am going to pass on the GC, however I will go back to the new location and try them again. I will give them another try and follow up.

There’s a lot of newer people working here, I guess. It almost never fails that they will get my order wrong. I order the Mrs Tomato, I get the Mr. I order a salad with no onions, there’s tons of onions. I order a a wrap and it is leaking and falling apart everywhere. I hate to be that annoying customer, but I have to constantly stalk the person making my food and repeat myself several times.

Dropped in here for lunch during a trip to look for a new car. Amazing subs! Their bread, in particular, is delicious. I’ve never been to this city before and wasn’t expecting to find such a gem of a place. If you’re from out of town and need to come to the area for anything, I highly recommend stopping by.

Good food and prices. I didn’t care for the staff(2 ladies were a bit arrogant and condescending). I would of given 5 stars if it weren’t for the ladies.

Taste of Italy. Simply the best Italian market I have ever been to. Amazing foods in glass cases that you can take home to make an amazing meal out of. Try a meatball parm sub on crunchy Italian bread fresh from NY-heavenly. On my final trip home to Atlanta I got meat lasagna and bread to-go. Definitely had the TSA clowns scratching their heads as they went thru my carry-on and saw my future dinner. Had they tried to confiscate I would have gone outside the terminal and fed my face with it rather than give it to them to enjoy… but they didn’t. God bless America… The only one thing I must mention is the prices. True you get what you pay for but for example be prepared to lay out $ 10 – 12 for a sub. You single guys — go there early on a Saturday. Get all your food and tell your girlfriend you want to cook her dinner… pop in the oven 20 mins before she comes over and as they say in Jersey«bada bing bada boom»…just be sure to throw out the Taste of Italy receipts haha

Very authentic Italian food. Lots of hustle to the place. Great prepared food for those times you want a good meal but don’t feel like cooking. Limited seating for a quick lunch. My favorite thing there is the meat lasagna.

I write this review again because Unilocal seems to utilize an arbitrary, ad-hoc metric on which reviews to use and calls into question their credibility. Trash a restaurant, the review appears, then disappears. Praise a restaurant, it’s deemed«not recommended». My initial review of Jimmy Pecci’s does not appear or is categorized as «not recommended», which is ridiculous. I have worked in the wine industry for fifteen years, and have visited a zillion restaurants across the state. Only recently, have I decided to make public my thoughts on businesses. So, here we go again. I absolutely, love Jimmy Pecci’s Taste of Italy in Tinton Falls. Having just left there tonight, I reminded myself I needed to do a review, a couple years in the making. I moved to the area from North Jersey a few years ago, and have been underwhelmed by the food landscape. A couple years ago during the week leading up to Christmas, I visited many Italian deli-take-out-catering places in Monmouth because I needed to put together an order for Christmas Eve dinner. You would have thought that I gave two days notice to cater a wedding. I was frustrated beyond belief at the unwillingness of local businesses’ to leave their comfort zone and actually put together an order. Then, I stumbled upon Jimmy Pecci’s by accident. Lucky me. Located in a strip mall in Tinton Falls on 66, the store is clean, looks new, is well lit, well merchandised, and not a cramped storefront. More importantly, their display cases and refrigerators were fully-stocked and were more than happy to take an order, gasp, a few days before Christmas Eve. It goes without saying that the food was-is, tremendous. There is nothing here that that will surprise you, the selection is standard for what you find in most NJ Italian catering businesses. Nonetheless, the food is well-prepared, tasty and is a crowd-pleaser. They have a good selection of cold salads that include standards like calamari, fresh mozzarella and tomato, broccoli rabe, tortellini, pasta primavera and cucumber, grilled vegetable, and diced tomato, etc. Hot Appetizers are pretty standard, but very solid; eggplant rollantine, stuffed artichokes, stuffed mushrooms, fried cauliflower are terrific starters. Entrees include a selection of seafood, chicken and veal. However, I usually buy spinach lasagna, eggplant parmesan, regular lasagna, or manicotti, all excellent. Soups are also excellent; I love the pasta fagioli. Jimmy Pecci’s also has a butcher counter, a display case filled with attractive meats and also sells fresh bread and has Italian standards like Italian cookies and cannoli. The only drawback is Jimmy Pecci’s prices are slightly on the high side. However, I am more than willing to pay knowing that Jimmy Pecci’s is always on their game, is reliable and will never let me down.

Excellent talk desk Italian style deli. My daughter loved the number 1 which is a traditional«italian» sub. Service was fast and people were really nice!

Love this Italian deli. I go here mainly for subs because they have boars head and the bread is excellent Italian bread with that crunch. If you like something a bit spicy, try the four alarm sub. I used them for catering for a party and everyone raved about how great the food was.

Thank you Unilocal!I was at the outlets down the road and didn’t want to eat lunch at the Food Court. Searching for a nearby deli and found A Taste Of Italy… A little Italian Deli/Market. I ordered the Mino Special(grilled chicken, mozzarella, broccoli rabe, with balsamic & oil). The broccoli rabe was on point, very happy with my choice. My buddy got a hero with sopressato, provolone, hot peppers, and arugula. Both of us gave two thumbs ups. I’d definitely come back to try some of their rice balls, and other quintessential Italian dishes.

My go-to Italian Deli. Solid cold cut selection, and probably the best fresh mozz in the area. It’s creamy, just the right consistency, and not too salty or bland. Amazing. Great food for a quick take-out for dinner and awesome sandwiches/subs.
