Dive bar for sure! They have lots of TVs though and the food is good for dive bar food. It’s all about perspective in dive bars. Anyway… no liquor on Sundays. You’ve been warned. Edit… Off topic of food but if you sit at the bar be prepared to hear the employees talk politics. Save that crap for the kitchen. No shock that they are Trump but here’s the thing, I. Don’t. Care. I sure as heck don’t come here to hear hate speech about anyone who doesn’t love Trump. Not with my food. No thanks. If I engage someone at the bar about it then, it’s my deal. I ask to hear spew. Haven’t been here in awhile and damn sure won’t be back.

Pretty much dirty and nasty. Bartender was drinking as much as customers. Back room chairs are junk plastic and I saw 2 people’s chairs break on them. Dangerous and embarrassing. Told management. Nothing done. I agree with other guy… this place needs John taffer

I have gone to Hinders for years and it kills me to give it a bad review. However, it has gone downhill to the point of making me wonder if the owner is just using it as a cash-cow. The wings are still great but the place is DIRTY! It’s to the point that you feel cleaner before you enter than when you leave. The bathrooms are the most disgusting. The urinals don’t flush, there are dried spots on the video screen that doesn’t work, the sink throws water on you when you turn the water on and seeing the kitchen makes you wonder where the health department is conducting their checks. The older staff are wonderful but the newer ones are more concerned about their problems and not about serving the customers. Unfortunately, this place needs John Taffer!!! I’m not sure if we will go back until they clean it up.

The wings are phenomenal. Worth every penny I spend on them. I’m not into the sports bar atmosphere, so i usually take them to go.

I love dive bars. I love them more when the clientele is welcoming. Not so much here. Of real interest was the still-crackling pork rinds someone next to me ordered as an appy. A guy and his mother. Creepy but maybe creepier if it was his girlfriend. I’m not gonna ask. Next, my garden salad was real crisp and fresh. My burger is excellent… no bun, Gouda, grilled onions and shrooms build-your-own. Half order of wings came out with my burger which was dumb and it’s weird that wings in Ohio seem to be fried with no sauce if «mild» is your preference. The stout, excellent. Onto my wings. They were well done which I like. Fleshy wings are gross. Another oddity that one must ask for Bleu Cheese to dip. Forget asking for celery. Plus no need as the wings are sweet and lacking any spice. My conclusion after having«the best» wings at the Rooster place and then here, both in Ohio, is that no thought of Buffalo goes into wings in this state. Independent yes, but sacrilegious!

Great wings, butt warmers are the best of the selection. Had a good time and a good crowd for a early Tuesday evening.

Absolutely the best chicken wings you will ever find!!! Make no mistake this place is not fancy at all just a dive bar but man oh man are these wings great. They just know how to do it right. If you’re in the Dayton area and are in the mood for some great chicken wings and a cold beer this is the place! PS– I really can’t speak for the rest of the menu at all lol every time I’ve been there(I have been there at least 20 times since I was a kid) I could never pull myself away from these great chicken wings to try anything else and to be honest why would I! They are the best you will find!

This is a dive bar thorough and thorough. It has everything you expect of a dive bar. That being said, the service when my husband and I arrived was surprisingly good. No complaints there. We came to try out the wings after hearing good things. We ordered the ass kickers and butt warmers. Both wing sets were decent-sized, had lots of meat on the bones, and the bread coating wasn’t too crispy or soggy. The ass kicker sauce was hot, but not intolerable. The butt warmer sauce was sweet, tangy, and had a bit of heat at the end(this was my favorite). Overall, these were some pretty good wings!

I’ll be honest: I miss having great wings near me. Growing in Western PA, you couldn’t drive through any major town without finding a spectacular spot for hot wings. My favorite, as I’ve mentioned in a prior review, is Dino’s Sports Lounge. However, when I moved to Ohio, I was alarmed to see a lack of wing joints. Buffalo Wild Wings? No thanks. Fricker’s? Ugh. For a long time, I was convinced that my occasional wing-binges would have to be relegated to my trips back home. Needless to say, when a co-worker recommended Hinders, I was a bit skeptical. However, I’m pleased to say that I was wrong! There’s no getting around this: Hinders is a dive bar. The tables and chairs are of picnic quality, and upon entering, you feel like the whole place needs a good steam cleaning. However, their«Butt-Warmer» wing sauce? Almost a perfect replication of Dino’s «Sweet and Hot» flavor. It’s not«quite» there, but it’s damned close and still tasty. Despite the dive-appearance, I’ve always gotten warm, quick service while at Hinder’s. Food comes out quickly with frequent refills and check-in. Seriously. If you’re a fan of wings, skip over BW3 and the other chains in the Dayton Area. Head north and give Hinders a run!

The wings here are nice size. They have 3 flavors: easy sitters, butt warmers, and ass kickers. I’ve never had the easy sitters. The butt warmers are sweet with a little heat and the ass kickers are good but could be a little hotter with a little more sauce. For bar food, the menu is diverse and it’s hard to find anything that’s not good.

If you love wings please go here. They have a butt warmers flavor(mild) and ass kickers(hot). I love spicy so the ass kickers isn’t that hot to me but the flavor is phenomenal. I love comparing wings at different places and definetely the best wings in Dayton by far! The sports bar type atmosphere is very laid back and fun and has a nice patio for the summer. The margaritas are pretty good also.

They accept credit cards, but you’d be better off bringing cash and trying to pay with exact change. Waited 30+ minutes after our table was cleared for our check. Had to go up to the front to pay.

Don’t stop here! My family and I were looking for something better than fast food while traveling. We thought wings, burgers and salad shouldn’t take long to order and eat either. We were wrong. The service here was horrible. We waited over 10 minutes just to be greeted, another 30 for the food and another 20 from the time we asked for the check until it was brought to the table. We ordered two types of wings, the mild and butt warmers. Both were overly sweet and soggy, as if they were left sitting out for far too long after preparation. The salad, soup of the day, burger and fries were mediocre at best. I would not normally write a review for anything, but wanted to save other traveling families from this place.

Definitely the best wings in Dayton! Try the Butt warmer sauce, it is sweet and mildly hot, just the right mixture of both. The wings were a little dry, but I asked for a side of the sauce and they gavee me one. Onions rings are pretty decent, I think Red Robins are the best, but these were better than most places. Didnt have any beer, but they seemed to have a good selection. The waitress was ok to the point of doing what a waitress should do, but not the friendliest. We tried to joke a little, but she seemed all business. The atmosphere is like most food/bars in the area with some tvs and decorative signage. There is a back section that is set up to play some sort of golf game. All in all its a good place, crowded on the weekend nights, but we went about 3 on a Saturday afternoon and had no problem getting a seat.

Don’t listen to the other reviews, who reviews a place after only ordering nachoes anyways! This place is amazing. The wings are the best in town. Better than bw3, Quaker state, frickers, wings & rings, and so on. The wings are full of good quality meat and are fried then sauced. And the loser that said these wings weren’t hot is wrong. They have both sweet wings and hot and I love hot and spicy so I don’t have a low threshhold. I get the wings with the butt warmer(sweet) sauce then get a side of ass kicker(hot) sauce to dip in and it’s amazing! Trust me on this one I’ve tried every wing place in Dayton and Columbus and this place is still my favorite.

First time here to meet some family from out of town and to have a couple of drinks. Interesting place, pretty popular with the locals as far as I can tell, and a wide range of ages from kids with parents to twenty something party people. Small selection of beers on tap, the only interesting stuff that varied from the standard selections were Eliot Ness and Blue Moon, both of which are actually fairly standard as «import» selections on tap. Only tried the nacho fries appetizer, a little smaller than I expected and otherwise delivered on a nacho cheese covered french fry appetizer from a bar. Decent outdoor patio for the smokers and folks wanting to enjoy a cool evening in August, which last night certainly was. Decent place to have a beer, probably more relaxing on a week night though.

Hinders is more of a bar than restaurant and is know for its wings. So a friend said they had good wings and as most wing people know you are in 2 camps with wings; hot-n-spicy or sweet. I am more of a hot-n-spicy person and Hinders wings are very sweet to the point where brown sugar and honey are the main ingredients you can taste. Not a fan. The place itself is larger than it appears from the outside as the back portion is cover by large tarps, not great during the winter but it keeps the rain off and gives the smokers someplace to go.
