Still amazing! Try the turkey white chili. Trust me, it’s so good. Comes with a cornbread muffin. I always get the bourbon salmon. Their broccoli is steamed and it’s not the frozen(mushy) kind. We always eat at the bar or in bar area. Great service. Street parking and there’s a public lot not far.

From the outside Harrison’s looks beautiful, but the«class» ends once you walk through the door. We arrived for lunch at 2:00pm on a Sunday(Memorial Day weekend) and there were 4 customers in booths and 6 loud employees yucking it up at the bar during our entire visit. The interior looked nice until closer inspection: the fabric on the booths was outdated and worn, the tables had visible burn spots, and the light fixtures were super dusty. They definitely need to do something about noise control upstairs: it sounded like people were doing aerobics or something the entire hour we were there! The ceiling was so loud and creaky, not a great atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The employees were friendly enough, but seemed like they had been transported straight from a roadside diner instead of a nice, higher-priced restaurant that we were led to believe Harrison’s was. There was a young bus boy who looked moody and huffed, puffed and moaned out loud every time he walked past us to clear a table, and our waitress never checked on us during our meals. PLUS it took over 30 minutes to receive our orders, which was shocking since we only ordered 2 sandwiches with chips! The menu was large, which I always appreciate. The cost of the sandwiches and salads seemed average, but the entrees seemed a little overpriced to me especially after viewing pictures of the meals here on Unilocal. The food was, well… average. I had the pastrami sandwich. The meat was actually pretty great: thick yet tender with no fat around the edges, which is sometimes hard to find when ordering pastrami. However, the marble rye and swiss cheese were really bland in flavor and seemed to have come straight out of a bag purchased at a REALLY cheap supermarket. Not quite what I was expecting. The deli mustard they serve on the side was literally less than a ½ teaspoon, barely enough to spread on just one slice of the bread. My husband had the«gourmet» club. The toasted pretzel bun and the bacon tasted great and were both nice and chewy, but the ham and turkey were just perfectly round slices of wet, processed lunch meat(the cheap kind, not even the good stuff) and again the cheese had no flavor at all. The meat and cheese were literally ice cold, which did not jive on the warm pretzel bun, and the«shredded» lettuce on both of our sandwiches was just sloppily chopped iceberg lettuce that they clearly use for salads. Again, not quite what we were expecting. The highlight of the meals were the potato chips served on the side. Warm, crispy and not dripping with grease, so we were at least pleased with those. Overall, though, our visit to Harrison’s was definitely unremarkable and I doubt we’ll be going back anytime soon.

I find it confusing that I have never written a review for Harrisons… I grew up here and am in lobe with the place! I recommend it to anybody who i have visit Tipp City. Its a great hometown place but slightly more upscale. But the best time to go is Tuesdays… Wing night! The wings are enormous and have tremendous sauces, including a different sauce of the night every week! The rowdy is my favorite(a mixture of all sauces) followed by teriyaki and spicy garlic. The loaded fries and bleu cheese chips are also teriffic. Harrisons is my favorite place in Tipp.

Per the recommendation of friends, family, and locals, our dinner at Harrison’s was excellent. A friend and I are in town for a conference and Harrison’s did not disappoint in service, ambiance, food, or price. It was crowded when we arrived but waited less than 10 minutes before a high top in the bar became available. Our waitress was prompt, friendly, and helpful when we asked for her suggestions … we were hungry and everything sounded good! We shared the Red Devil shrimp appetizer and it was perfectly crisp and crunchy, and the sauce was sweet and spicy. Very good! My friend had the fried jumbo shrimp dinner and sweet potato casserole. She raved about her meal, enjoyed it a lot. I opted for the flat iron steak and it was cooked perfectly — medium rare, more rare than medium and had great flavor. I also got a side of fried clams because of others’ recommendation and they were amazing. Big pieces fried nicely and the tartar sauce was spot on. The downtown area of Tipp City is adorable — beautiful older homes full of character, charm, and the perfect place to walk around after a big meal. I wish we were in town longer because I would definitely go back for another meal at Harrison’s!!!

My husband and I with another couple went there for the first time and absolutely loved it! The side salads had fresh greens and the salad dressings(homemade) were delicious! And let’s not forget the amazing bread they served with it… I loved the salted rye! I had the angel hair pasta dish… gigantic! The black and blue burger was yummy, my friend got the salmon salad… couldn’t quit eating it! My hubby got the pulled pork. It was all delicious and large portions. Our waitress was very friendly. Will definitely be back!

Buzzed in here at the suggestion of the concierge and what a great choice! The city Mac and cheese is to die for and the other choices are great too. I’ll be back next time through lovely Tipp City

Last night I had the pleasure of being surprised by my wife with a 70th birthday party. We were in the party room up stairs and our waitresses was Susan. Not only was the food outstanding the service Susan provided was timely, quick and superb. Serving 19 people had to be a challenge and a challenge that was performed well. My filet mignon was very tender and done to profection making it the best filet if had around the Dayton area for quite some time. I would definitely go back and encourage friends to do the same.

Harrison’s has 5-star wings– some of the best I’ve ever had! I highly recommend Wing Night– 50 cents a wing, and they’re meaty and crispy! My favorite sauce was the Rowdy sauce– a heavenly blend of all of their sauces. I also had the Classic Buffalo and Spicy Garlic. I’m getting hungry just writing this! I only tried their wings, that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars.

We were there on a Saturday night and we went early. We ordered the sampler appetizer. Never seen ribs on an app before, but it works. Everything was nice sized, very well cooked and plated well. Our server was very nice also. No complaints. We had drinks, the app and 4 entrees and the bill was $ 130. I would repeat more often if I lived closer

On a random Sunday night, I found myself here because I was spending the night at the Holiday Inn right up the street. I knew I wanted to stay close, I knew I wanted healthy food, and I knew it had to be fresh. It also helped that the front desk recommended this place. The salmon was great, nice size and cooked well, but what’s up with that maple syrup shit you call a glaze? That’s straight Aunt Gemima, you can’t fool me! The venue was nice and inviting, and the service was flawless. I really don’t get the negative reviews, cuz if something’s wrong, they’ll fix it. Just point it out. When I’m back in the area, I’ll be back at Harrison’s!

A bit chilly inside and the ceiling kept creaking due to the party upstairs. Great food and atmosphere overall. Never been here for lunch… same menu as dinner: large portions and priced appropriately. The bathroom was very clean… it matters.

We have come here several times in small groups or in a large group. The waitresses are friendly and the prices are good. They have an excellent bar with a rotating menu of local brews. The performers in the bar are not too loud and you can have a good time! We are looking for an excuse to head up to tip and go back!

We were somewhat hesitant going to Harrison’s based on some of the reviews but we were visiting Tipp City for the day and it happened to be a Sunday so many places were closed. I have to say that my husband and I were very pleased with the food and service. We arrived 10 minutes after they opened and they were busy! Our waitress was fantastic, she had great recommendations and made sure she kept up on our drinks and that we were happy with our food. We loved the Hummus! It was a very nice portion and was surrounded by carrots, celery, and their homemade pita chips(they were not what I expected but were still fantastic.) I had the Black and Bleu Salmon Salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the dressing was so light and tasty. My husband had the turkey chili and a turkey burger and enjoyed it very much. The only thing he did not care for was the corn muffin that came with the chili it didn’t have much flavor. We would certainly go back!

I would not go back to Harrison’s or recommend this restaurant to others. Although our server, Samantha, was kind and courteous I can not say the same for the manager on duty. I tried on more than one occasion to grab his attention once I realize the salmon I ordered and began to eat was very undercooked on a great portion. After taking a bite I thought the piece I had just swallowed was a bit chewy and a funny texture. Further investigation revealed a very undercooked piece of salmon. He caught eye contact initially and simply looked the other direction and avoided my table walking past there after. After making Samantha aware of the situation she went to the manager and he removed the salmon from our bill, Thank you very much. The disturbing part is after making him aware he never visit me or my husband to address the situation and still charged me for the salad:(I understand that business is business but with treatment of such a manner in a situation of such circumstances, this is not a place I care to support ever again.

Okay. So the service is not the highlight of this place that is for sure. But man, they have THEBEST wings! Their ‘rowdy’ sauce is a perfect mixture of hot, bbq, garlic, Asian, you name it. Also. The wings are HUGE! They’re so good you want more than one order but one is plenty!!! If you’re feeling a little more fancy they have a fine dining menu on the back featuring steaks, seafoods, ribs, etc. You can’t go wrong there– my boyfriend gets the ribs everytime! I am not sure how many restaurants there are in Tipp City, but this one is my favorite!(Let me just mention again you may be waiting for your food for a while because the waitresses take their time!)

I’ve been there at least 20 times and love this place. The service is excellent and the food choices are creative and delicious. My favorite is the black and bleu salad(blackened salmon on a salad with bleu cheese) but everything on the menu is great.

I’m from Bethel which is just outside the general Tipp area, and have been to Harrison’s on a few occasions. However, today was just not a pleasant experience. I ordered the ground Turkey burger with Swiss on a pretzel bun. The patty itself was not seasoned and tasted very bland. Additionally, the inside was very pink and unappetizing. Turkey burgers should be more of a white color inside, not pink. In many restaurants the quality of food suffers because the chefs never taste their food and adjust seasoning and cooking methods. I fear that may be the case here. Our server was friendly but not very attentive. We waited ten minutes after we were finished eating before she returned with our checks. The place wasn’t busy at all, and I made eye contact on several occasions with the manager who looked away and continued his conversation with another employee behind the bar. Harrison’s is alright for what it is, but I would rather spend time and money on a more memorable dining experience and flavorful food.

Had a great experience eating here. Our server was very attentive to our every need, the food came out quickly and piping hot, and the atmosphere was great. The three people in my party all got three totally different items and we were all very pleased with our dishes. There’s a lot of variety on the menu which is great for my picky family. The only reason I didn’t rate Harrison’s a 5 star was because we got a lunch order to go and got home and realized we didn’t get what we had ordered. But even the meal we got was scarfed down by my husband who, in between mouthfuls, said it was delicious! Can’t wait to try this restaurant out again!

So, after a wonderful anniversary weekend, Jules and I decided to pick up lunch before doing some shopping for a dinner in. Our choice this time around? Harrison’s, as neither of us felt like we got a good handle on the place after our first visit. This time? I definitely have a handle on it. Harrison’s is ‘old people food’. When we arrived, Harrison’s was fairly busy, but there was no wait – nearly everyone in the restaurant had already been seated with most having already been served their food. Jules and I waited a solid 20 minutes before our drink orders were even taken and, even then, the waitress was particularly curt, bordering on rude. I ordered the corn-dusted walleye – which, Jules told me, was a good choice as it was in season – while she had the clam strips. My fish was plated sloppily, with the herb butter covering more of my french fries than the fish itself. That’s messy, but forgivable… if the fish would taste good on its own. With the herb butter, it tasted fine. Without? Bland as bland could be, tasting only of the gritty cornmeal it was crusted with. The fish had no salt, no pepper, no flavor at all – seriously, I’ve tasted more flavorful fish at Long John Silvers. I was excited, upon reading the menu, to see that the Sunday special was«buy one, get one ½ off» entrees. Figuring that’d save us some money, you’d understand my utter shock to see a $ 30 bill! Without that half off, we would have easily paid $ 40 for a meal that was, at best, mediocre. For that price, let me drive back to Straits of Malacca or Jeet India and get something flavorful. Decidedly, I won’t be back to Harrison’s. Let the elderly take it.

Stopped in to try something new today. Beautiful old restaurant with an awesome bar in the tavern room. The special was buy 1 get 1 half off entrees today. The salads were good; cherry vinaigrette house dressing was okay but blue cheese was great. City Mac n Cheese was good but too many onion chunks and not enough cheese flavor. Pork chops and collards were amazing though! Also, only $ 4 for a giant goose island IPA! Will be back to try more items!
