Wally’s Tap House

Haven’t been here in a few months, but I’ve been twice, both for ‘events’. The event room is a little small (and we’ve always had too many people) but the staff has been friendly and accommodating. They have a good drink selection, plenty of parking, and the food we had both times was awesome. I’m sure we’ll be back. :)

Went for a quick bite after a local event. We were going to sit in the dining area but it was a ghost town. We opted to sit in the bar area which has plenty of high top seating around the bar. Staff was a little slow to take out order and bring us drinks. My mixed drink was probably the strongest I’ve ever had and one of the cheapest. Our buffalo chicken thin crust and pulled per quesadilla were phenomenal. Not the type of food we were expecting at a small bar. The bar area was kind of rowdy for a weekday, in assuming this isn’t the norm in such a quiet town. We’ll definitely be back when we’re looking for a quick bite and some drinks.

Went there for lunch, opens at 11 which is nice, bartender was friendly and since I was the only guy there attentive. Ordered the Chicken pot pie on the specials menu, came fresh out of the microwave, gummy crust and molten center. Cute place for a beer but skip the food!

Wally’s Tap House is a great ‘lil no frills gem in Tiverton.
It’s a place where if you have a decision making disorder such as myself you’ll take about 15 minutes just looking at the drink menu itself. Then the waitress comes over and you order the specialty cocktail you spent a quarter of an hour settling on, and she tells you they don’t have it.
That’s fine, come back in another 10 minutes then!
Before she leaves though she tells you the menus have to be updated and half the stuff on there isn’t available. But she crouches down next to you and goes through the menu item by item until you finally excitedly pick one. You both lock eyes and you smile at her as if your name on the streets is lil billy, and you just figured out how to finally read. A lone tear beads up in her eye and trails down her cheek. And she tousles your hair as she slowly stands back up, head tilting askew, her smile grows proudly. Good job Billy. Good job.
But I digress, when that food and drink you finally settled on comes out. it is amazing. Drinks hit the spot, and the food makes your stomach float away to heaven like real life James and the Giant Peach-​esque flight via seagulls.
Highly recommend this place for an out of the way chill location for game watching or change of pace menu that can feed you for three meals.

My family and I decided to try Wallys for the first, and most likely the last time, best part? We didn’t even get to try anything! We were told if we could «find a table» our waitress would «follow us»…ok…so we sat at one of two tables that were empty in a small dining area… about 15 minutes after sitting, the same waitress that was supposed to «follow us» came up to us and said «oh…I forgot to tell you it’s going to be about a 45 minute wait» I said wait for WHAT, we’re already sitting! I immediately stood up and walked out. Horrible service. Inexcusable even.

Wonderful atmosphere!!! Reasonably priced food, BEST burgers in RI!!! Bring your appetite though these suckers are HUGE! My fave is the veggie wrap with sweet potato fries and a glass of Pinot Grigio!!! Best meal ever!

we ended up at this place by chance, it was late an it was the only place around us that was open. Good selection of beer and a nice size menu. Studies and very very good and my panini was excellent. food was definitely better than expected. We may have found our new bar

We love to go to Wally’s for trivia on Tuesdays. They don’t really have much when it comes to vegetarian options, so I usually get the focaccia pizza which is pretty good, so no complaints there! That’s not why I wrote a review though. I know this sounds strange, but their diet coke is really good! I’m saying this only because I think that has to be a sign of a place that is clean and taken care of. Check them out, good food, fun trivia and perfect diet coke — you can’t go wrong!

Went in last night for a night cap. They were obviously cleaning up and they still let us in anyways. Didn’t eat, just had a couple of beers and a couple of games of bingo/​keno. They were very nice to us considering they were probably irritated that two people showed up as they were about to close.

If you want to sit at the bar and get apps., this is a good place. If you want to sit and eat, good luck. The service continues on a downward slide. The food is good. Wish the service was better.
