Their rice krispy treats are the best. They are either made on site or purchased from someone homemade. Their bagels are from Barry’s(this deli use to be a Barry Bagel’s and one of his employee’s purchased about 8 years ago). Sandwiches are all good and I love their potatoes. I wish they still had their low fat chicken salad. I also like that they have crystal light. Biggest drawbacks are price and hours. They close at 1:30 and their prices are on the high side for a place that doesn’t offer wait service. Their iced tea is good but their capaciano’s are powdered from a machine. I saw someone complain about sizes being small. I think the portions are generous here.

Pj’s is a nice place for a sandwich thats not Subway or Quiznos. The portions are smaller and the price is a bit high for the amount you receive. However, the ingredients are fresh, the selection is decent and the employees are personable and helpful. A large salad bar is available as well. In all, this is one of my favorite quick eat places in town.

I have monthly lunch meetings at this restaurant downtown and didn’t really care for the food. I would eat my home prepared lunch in the car on the way since I didn’t care for the food. This last meeting I didn’t get the chance to pack a lunch and decided to give it another try. I was surprised on all the changes in the restaurant. I had the peppered turkey with swiss panini style on flat bread. I was so surprised how good it was! The girls behind the counter are so helpful too. I also got a strawberry smoothie and it was excellent! I was really impressed with the changes that I saw and will go back again!

This is a nice little gem in downtown Toledo at the corner of Madison and Superior, but has some exclusivity as it’s only open from 6:30 am-1:30 pm Monday through Friday. This can make it difficult to get to if you work outside the area throughout the week, but on a day off it’s a perfect spot to grab a quality deli sandwich. They use very fresh ingredients, and the staff is very helpful in helping you make your choices. It’s unique in that it’s in the basement of the historic Spitzer building. This place is definitely a good place to try.

This is a small place in the basement of a downtown building. It is cafeteria style. You need to be a light eater to like it as the portions are small, and I myself never cared too much for the food.
