One of my favorite downtown bars and I try to eat here once a week. They have some great lunch specials, I love their homemade potato chips, The Irish Boxty is really good and it’s the only place I’ve found in Toledo that has it on their menu. I’m not a beer drink but they have a fully stocked bar with a lot of good drinks on their drink menu. Staff is always very friendly. Service is always great as well as the staff. I really like their patio at lunch time when the weather is nice.

Normally I love this place but lately we have noticed that the service leaves a lot to be desired. Went in last Saturday night with a buddy before they got busy and took 16 minutes before either of the bartenders came over to get our drink order and that only happened because we had to call them over… And remember, they weren’t busy, they were mostly talking to people and not working. We didn’t get another drink because they never came back, we had to call out to them again and at that point we was done with them. We will give them another chance because I’m hoping that this isn’t the start of another restaurant/bar going down the crapper!

We went there prior to a walleye game on Sunday. My husband asked for a dirty martini made with grey goose and I asked for one of their specialty cocktails. The bartender came back after about 10 minutes and apologized because they had no grey goose or ginger beer that was an ingredient in my drink. We left.

The Blarney. Have had good times and bad times at this bar. My most recent experience was very average. Was grabbing beers with friends and watching the playoff game. Bartenders did a decent job with getting drinks but the place is always understaffed which leads to standing at the bar forever. The band was way too loud, acoustics in the place were quite awful. The crowd can get interesting too. Diversified would be a fair statement. It can be a mix of bros, basics, hipsters, young professionals, middle aged and old adults. Let me take a moment to talk about the men’s room. This place STINKS. Literally it stinks. It smelled horrific, so bad that I didn’t even walk in because I smelled it on my way. Left, and moved on to another bar.

My husband and I stopped here on our way to visit family. During the week until 2pm parking is free. My husband ordered the fish & chips, which was the reason for us stopping here. The fish was huge! He ordered 3 pieces and it was enough for the two of us. The batter was delicious and not to heavy on the fish. You can choose to have chips of fries for the same price so of course he ordered the fries. We ordered the loaded nachos for an appetizer. First the nachos filled the entire plate. They were tricolored which was fun and the salsa was fresh. I ordered a cup of the baked potato soup. The cup looked more like a bowl and the potatoes were huge. The soup was a bit bland and there wasn’t enough bacon in my opinion. The waiter was extremely polite and made sure to check in. We were extremely satisfied and left happy and full. This may have to be a stop on our way back home.

Extremely rude manager, very slow bartenders, generally very poor service. I would not recommend this bar

I have been here a few times, it’s been quite good, until the last time we went, around half way through the meal I notice my boyfriends plate of fish and chips has something«odd» in it. I recognize that, yes, it’s a piece of pot scrubber, you know, aluminum wooly thing. Yes, buried under his chips. Had to be a disgruntled employee in the back. So we ask the waitress to see the manager, he appears, and I explain the situation, and said what are you going to do about this, his reply, «uh, how about half off his meal?» Now my boyfriend hates scenes, this should’ve been a scene. But I said«ok» and silently vowed to never go to that s$&t hole again. I used to work in the restaurant industry, and the very least they should have done for that kind of horror is to completely comp both meals, offer free drinks and dessert and coffee. It was OUTRAGIOUS. avoid like the plague. The restaurant was almost empty at the time, and it was early, 5:30 ish.

Visited here before a Mud Hens game last night with our Canton Michigan euchre club, all thought the food and service was very good. I ordered the French dip, we shared the barbecue chicken wings, others had reuben sandwiches, all done to perfection!

We only had drinks, so this review isn’t going to do justice! I would like to come back the next time we are in town though for Food! The menu looked good and the vibe seems very cool! Gotta love Irish food!

A friend and I met for lunch today at The Blarney Irish Pub. Arriving at 11:30am, we were some of the first patrons in the restaurant. A friendly waitress immediately approached as we were sitting down at a table(which is no mean feat given how snugly the backless bar stools fit under the tables in the window front), and took our drink orders after pointing us to the on-table menus. When she returned with our drinks, I inquired about the«ask your server for the daily special» listed on the menu, but our waitress indicated the restaurant no longer has daily specials as they are in the process of revamping the menus. Instead I ordered the Irish Burger with a side of coleslaw and a Coca-Cola. In total my bill came to $ 10.88 before tax and tip, which feels pretty typical for lunch downtown. While waiting for our food, we had the opportunity to take in the restaurant’s awesome atmosphere and authentic Irish pub décor. The restaurant started filling up with the lunch rush, so we were pleasantly surprised with how quickly our food arrived. My Irish burger was excellent, with the ideal melding of a perfectly cooked hand-made patty paired with expertly sautéed sauerkraut, swiss cheese, thousand island dressing, and a fresh tomato slice on top of crisp lettuce. While the coleslaw was not the best I ever had downtown, it had a good flavour and I liked the large portion size. Additionally I really appreciated how our waitress kept checking back with us, bringing me two more refills on my soda. Unfortunately the stellar customer service we received during our first 55 minutes was quite different from the lackluster attention we received during our final 20 minutes in the restaurant. Being mindful of the time, when we were nearly finished eating, we asked for our bills. In contrast to our previously speedy service, it took 10 minutes for our waitress to bring the bills. Then it took another disappointingly long ten minutes for our waitress to cash us out(the timestamp on my bill was 12:32, while the time on my credit card receipt was 12:44). Overall I really liked both the restaurant in general and the food in specific and would like to give it a Very Good rating, however the 20 minutes it took to get our bill and cash out makes me drop the score down to just Good.

The service was quick and waitresses were friendly. I recommend the the Bangers and Mash. It was delicious and I would definitely get it again! The bar has a friendly atmosphere that would be great for social gatherings.

I’ve come to The Blarney several times. It’s a great Irish Pub with awesome food, friendly staff and a good atmosphere. However, today it went to a 5 star review. I called several places in town asking if I could bring my dog with me on the patio, as our home was being painted and the fumes were really heavy. All others said«Sorry, no.» The Blarney not only said«Absolutely» but brought a bowl of water for my puppy. Staff and the GM are all really great. I will be back… a lot!

The service is always good especially when sitting at the bar. Love the black and blue chips. Burger was good but my fish and chips tasted like something you get from freezer section of a chain grocery store. Good beer selection.

I stopped in here for a quick lunch. They were getting ready for what appears to be a massive Saint Patrick’s Day party. They had a bunch of tents set up outside and it appeared that they had taken over the streets. I simply had an iced tea and a buffalo chicken salad, to which I had to ask the server to go back and get some more tomatoes for my salad as it appears they either forgot for Whatever reason. there was a pretty good portions chicken on my salad, put some hard boiled egg on my salad as well to which they did not charge me. Overall, this place looks pretty neat but it is right smack in the middle of a bombed-out war zone formerly known as the city of Toledo. the restaurant itself looks pretty cool, the bathrooms are clean, and the server was nice and attentive. My only issue is that the salad itself was a little small for the price.

Never even got to eat. Bartender told us to sit anywhere. We waited for someone, anyone, to clear a table for us but no one did. At least two waitresses walked by us without acknowledgement. We’re done. Walked out. Seriously, Toledo, step up your game.

Blarney is always a good choice bar to go to downtown for night life! It has a great crowd and has reasonably priced drinks. Food is awesome and cheap and Chad G is the best bartender and server in Toledo!

What a great place to have fun. We celebrated a birthday and the whole group had fun. The Gunness was flowing… The music was easy at first and then the entertainment switched and the guitars and drums came out. I can see why my toledo family frequents the establishment regularly… See ya the next time we visit toledo!

Or at least see if they are open. No answer to phone but answering machine. Was really looking forward to some great fish and chips :(

Nice little Irish Pub in downtown Toledo. Had the Mozzarella sticks and an Irish Setter Red Ale(Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., Akron, OH). Good beer, mozzarella sticks were nice and crispy on the outside and hot, gooey and tasty on the inside! The waitresses that waited on us were very nice. Worth checking out if you are in the area!
