Pricey for what you get, and they weigh it right in front of you — sort of off-putting.

I LOVERUDY’S! They have the best BBQ in town. I love the lean brisket and potato salad! I also love that they have multiple BBQ sauce selections! Such a chill environment. Definitely my go to place for BBQ. The staff is always super friendly and enthusiastic. My niece grabbed a banana pudding out of the fridge behind my sister’s back and the manager said that she could have it(comped) because she was so sweet. Now THAT is awesome customer service! There was another time I was ordering next to an EXTREMELY rude customer, she was giving the cashier such a hard time over nothing, and the cashier was so calm cool and collective, I was extremely impressed with how she handled the situation. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

I was visiting over Christmas from San Diego and had the best experience at Rudy’s. I went in ordering a brisket sandwich, ended up taking dinner for 12 home. The beans are killer, the turkey awesome, brisket awesome. They were first class in packing up my to go order, in a nice quality box to carry, 2 big jugs of ice team — even a table cloth for home. Make sure and get the banana pudding, totally worth it.

I first discovered Rudy’s in Austin, and my perception of BBQ being dry and tasted good only if you add sauce was changed since. Rudy’s felt the love and dropped a store in my hometown just 10 minutes from my home, across the highway from the Silverados movie theater. I may be a bit late to the game, but after this discovery, I’ve had Rudy’s for 3 meals in the span of 3 days. I also introduced a close friend to Rudy’s and saw the sparks fly in his eyes. If you’re tired of overcooked, dry BBQ, this place will change your life. Really. Compared to the two Rudy’s I’ve eaten at in Austin, this one is no different(albeit sans automatic hand washer). The brisket is super moist with a good amount of fat and excellent rub. The pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone and super tender. My friend said it was the best ribs he’s ever had! The creamed corn was great as well. BBQ also isn’t just about the beef and the pork. Their chicken shouldn’t be underestimated either. Moist with great flavor, I would actually get it again. Rudy’s is a really delicious and consistent establishment. I’m glad there’s one so accessible to home.

This smaller version of a Rudy’s is the newest in town and it’s still delicious, consistent bbq at a reasonable price. My typical order is ½ lb moist brisket, ½ lb baby backs, and ½ jalapeño sausage, with a few slices of bread. There is no gas station at this location.

Delicious! I recommend the spicy pork, both kinds of ribs, and the brisket. Just make sure you order enough food, and be prepared to order for the whole table. A half pound serves about 2 people that aren’t overly hungry. No plates, but they do have cute wax paper to eat off of. Potato salad is delicious too, and I don’t normally like potato salad.

No, Rudy’s is not the best BBQ in town. But I think they deliver more consistently decent meat than any other chain restaurant, and better than some of the«real» BBQ places(I’m lookin’ at YOU, Pappas). This was my first trip to this relatively new Rudy’s on 249 — seems like they still have some efficiency items to work out. Took a loooong time to get through the line on a day where they weren’t really that crowded. Staff was friendly and helpful — just seemed like the food prep was haphazard. Still, brisket and sausage were both moist and flavorful, and all the other Rudy’s attributes, for better or for worse, were there. I admit to liking their spicy regular sauce(IMHO, the Sissy Sawse is correctly named) more than I should.

OMG! I love this place. The turkey sandwich is awesome. The most tender turkey meat I have found. Great spot for lunch!

We had a team meeting at this new location. Was impressed at the service and that they greeted us when we came in the restaurant. BBQ was impressive. If you like brisket sandwiches — I learned you can ask for it «wet» — they make a great sandwich. We will definitely be back for future lunches.

Been going to Rudy’s for years, so I was ecstatic when they opened this one right across the highway from me. This location doesn’t disappoint. My mouth waters just thinking about the BBQ. I’m a firm believer that good BBQ should not require any sauce, theirs does not. That being said Rudy’s Sauce is pretty great. These people know how to do meat right. You can’t go wrong with any of it. Turkey, brisket, ribs and more ribs, even the sausage is top-notch! Enjoy!

We’ve been to this location a few times since it opened… Mostly for breakfast tacos. It’s not as good as the other Rudy’s… The tacos seem thrown together with like a scoop of eggs on one end and a scoop of meat or potatoes on the other so we have to disassemble them to mix everything together. It’d be more forgivable if they were busy but they haven’t been the times we’ve gone. We ordered to go for dinner last night and the brisket was tough. I felt like I was eating shoe leather. The turkey was good though and so were the potatoes and creamed corn. We are hoping it’ll improve the longer they’re open but right now id say it’s mediocre. With all the BBQ places around here, we probably won’t be back real soon

I had a great experience when I came on a Saturday evening. I love how it’s across from Silverado movie theatre so you and your date can eat here before catching a movie. The service was fast and and the food was perfect! The jalepeno sausage & pulled pork BBQ sandwich always my go to.

Brand new location, just as hot, fresh, and delicious as all the others. So glad there is one closer to the area. Brisket tender and moist, beans hot and tasty, even the turkey is super moist and full of flavor. Roasted half chicken tender and moist! Delicious as usual.

I have been waiting for Rudy’s to open. I was curious about their barbecue. We went there on Thursday around 12:30, so I knew that they would be busy. The line was almost to the door. Ordering at Rudy’s was new to me. I’m not used to ordering by the pound. We got ½ lb. of moist brisket, ½ lb. pork ribs, ½ regular sausage, ½ jalapeño sausage. For sides we got a potato salad, coleslaw & corn. The brisket is good, the pork ribs were very tender. The regular sausage is somewhat spicy. Their sauces are also spicy. It’s okay, but not my first choice. In a pinch, it will do since it’s right down the street from my house.

Second time at a Rudy’s and I am still a fan of their bbq. I’ve had their chicken and pork ribs and they were both delicious. They have fast and friendly service even when it gets busy and there’s a line. I enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant a lot, it gets kind of loud from the crowds and such, but still a great barbeque joint. I’m sure that I will be coming here a lot since it’s just across the street from my place, and the fiancée loves him some bbq!

Awk. This place only has two reviews before me even though the other locations have hundreds. Oh well. So my first meal in Texas had to be some bbq right? I arrived in town late and this place closed at 10 so we made it just in time. You pay by the pound so you can order as little or as much as you want. I was full from ¼ pound turkey and half pound moist brisket which is the fattier one. I also got a small green chile. The turkey was pretty dry so not really a fan of that. The brisket had a nice texture but it didn’t knock my socks off. I did enjoy the green chile because it had meat and a different flavor. The next day my body just exuded the meaty smell especially when I burped. Nasty haha

I’ve been here many times, at least to other locations, and this place… ISTHEBOMB! I’m happy to say this is right across the street from my neighborhood. Hope I don’t gain any weight cause I know my diet just went out the window.

Nothing new here, quality service as always. Good food, fair price, great service. Young people learning the way around the ordering menu but plenty of seasoned help guiding them so not like we had to wait or anything like that. Our order came out as expected, I would have taken a photo of the brisket sandwich and half link of jalapeño but it was gone in 6 seconds flat. I tried to take a picture of wife’s but she sent it down the hatch before I could do so. I’d eat here again… Good stuff. Ps I though I was going to have to take my wife to the emergency room since she almost bit through her finger as she ate that yummy sandwich, we soon realized it was just some of that famous«Rudy’s bar b q sause».

Moist Brisket is as good as it gets! The Cream Corn is also the bomb. They just opened so service is still being learned by the workers however I can look past it because the food is so good. I plan to hit them up on Sunday for Prime Rib… which is only served FRI, SAT, &SUN. I love Rudys and I am so happy they opened one up 2 miles from the House!
