I went there on a Sunday when they opened at 11 am. Most of what I wanted to order was not yet available. Why advertise you open at 11 if you are not ready to serve customers yet? So I got the salad. Regardless of what another poster says here, there are NO tomatoes in the salad, not a one. Wouldn’t you think a $ 9.00 salad would have some? And then, while eating, they decide to put the music on and it is today’s modern country/crap and it was played WAY too loud. Wouldn’t you think that a place with a lot of old time photos and license plates on the wall would play traditional country? The only plus thing I can think of is that the staff was very polite, cordial, and friendly. But that is not enough to make me come back. There are a lot of other restaurants in Tomball, and I will stick to them. And here is the real kicker — one salad, one rib plate, two small drinks, $ 28.90!!! Never again, Dickey’s. Bye bye.

The worst BBQ I’ve had in a whole. I’m usually a fan of their food but I would highly recommend staying away from this location.

Recently visited this Dickey’s and was utterly unimpressed. Staff was totally apathetic, but the major disappointment was the dry and tasteless brisket. The cost was also a little bit higher than the other larger BBQ chains. The potato salad was pretty good, but beans were only very average. Save your money and avoid this place.

I love Dickeys but I would not recommend patronizing this one. The staff acted like I was unconvincing them. I had to ask the guy at the order area if I could order with him and he gave me a rude«ya». I ordered and the other staff was no more pleasant. The food was terrible cold and crunchy Mac and cheese rolls were hard and cold. To top it off, the sausage was so cold and undercooked I couldn’t eat it especially being pregnant.(Wife) I ate half the food and thought well they can’t really mess up the ice cream. I was wrong. It was soft it was almost liquid and wouldn’t stay on the cone. I enjoy dickies but will not eat at this one ever again.

Friend who lives in Magnolia says this is her family’s fav bbq place. We went on Sunday & although I wanted a combo meat plate, the brisket salad sounded so good, I had to have. It was fantastic! Big ol’ salad w/lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, chopped brisket & onion strings(omg!) on top along w/ranch dressing & I also added the complimentary spicy bbq sauce on top… excellent! Also came w/a slightly sweet buttered roll(yum!) & I also ordered fried okra & the baked potato casserole & of course, SWEETTEA! I enjoyed every bite & gulp of this meal! I was a little worried that I couldn’t just drop by from my location in Spring Branch to get me a Dickey’s fix but when I Googled later… yeah…a new I-10/Taylor location! I’m there!

Really does seem these guys have found a way to serve good BBQ no matter what store you go to. Constancy rewards this BBQ house 5 stars I’m my book.

Probably the worst bbq I have had in a long time and I suppose that’s my fault for expecting good bbq from a chain restaurant. Tasteless and dry is how I can best describe their food. All sides are frozen and heated up on upon order. If you want better BBQ, light up your webber and throw some hot dogs on it. You won’t be disappointed.

I hate to be the realist here, but I looked at 55-star reviews and figured, what the heck. Spent $ 50 on their XL family package. I ordered my 3 meats, brisket, sausage, and chicken. They pulled all 3 out of a warmer wrapped in Saran Wrap, and sliced it up. Tasted like plastic wrapped old meat. Ordered my 4 sides. All 4 were pulled from warmers in corporate packaged plastic back and squeezed out like they were icing bags. Mac and cheese, green beans, fully loaded baked potato casserole, and baked beans. The biscuits that come with the meal were stones by the time I got them home. I knew better, just didn’t expect so much plastic, the food tasted like it was in plastic, I wish I could report better but this was just crazy. The sausage had been wrapped so long it had grey edges. Sorry, but absolutely awful. I wish Tomball would quit tricking people with these high reviews, like they do for Rib Tickler and Goodson’s, which are also awful lately. Maybe it’s just local taste buds, who knows.

The spicy cheddar sausage was fantastic, and so was the brisket. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The spicy sauce was damned good too. Not overly hot without the justification of excellent taste to accompany it. My wife isn’t a BBQ sauce type of a person, and she was dipping her sandwich in it. Kudos to you all.

Great brisket sandwich and ribs. Baked beans and the coleslaw were awesome. For two of us to eat it was under thirty dollars. Kind of a hidden fast food gem :)

Fantastic BBQ joint! I am a Tomball, TX girl born and raised, as is my husband. We are particular about our BBQ! M husband smokes his own and very well, so I am not a fan of any kind of chain restaurant, but Dickey’s inTomball is the exception to the rule! Tasted like it just came in off the smoker, done right! The sides are fantastic as well! If I could get the slaw and potato salad recipes I would love it! Their BBQ is done right, and the attention and friendliness of the staff is the most attentive I have experienced in a long while! They are tucked away, so don’t miss out! They are very family friendly, and also offer a kids eat free day on Sundays! Yay! The folks who own this spot elevate and are the exception to most franchises I have experienced! In our area, we’ve seen a lot of feeble attempts at a BBQ joint, and in my opinion this is the place to go!
