Mac n cheese n coconut shrimp were very good. The fish looked white so it was cooked long enough but it turned to mush when we tried to chew it. It actually gagged me. I googled why this could happen n it said it was old or frozen, then frozen again. Fried pickles, free with Unilocal, had same cornmeal batter as fish n had very little flavor. Desserts looked dried out. Not interested in going back!

Big Fan of the Johnson’s and the Tickler. I always make a stop here when I am in town. Get a combo plate and you will not be disappointed. Keep on Truckin!

Medicare BBQ at best. Brisket was dry and lacked flavor. Ribs were fairly decent. Green beans and baked beans were subpar. BBQ sauce was okay, more on the tangy side. Don’t think we will be coming back.

I grew up on Rib Tickler. They have the best ranch in the entire universe. I adore everything about this restaurant. The food is incredible but further more, everyone is so sweet and kind. Sherry always takes care of me when I come in. I’m getting married next year and Rib Tickler is going to cater the wedding. I will always be a supporter. :)

Just an ok experience for our first trip, would like to try again. Most food is cooked and ready(buffet style with cafeteria trays), folks are friendly, and dinner plate had lots of food. Had the ribs(which they pre-slice and douse in bbq sauce if you request sauce) which had a good smokey flavor, but we’re just ok in my book. Bbq beans were disappointing, green beans were ok, as was the Mac n cheese. Kid meal chicken strips had to be understandably cooked to order, had lots of chicken and fries(could be split) but the breading was a bit spicy for my boys to enjoy. I want to try something else next time. They have two TVs if that is a concern for kids latching onto them vs talking with the group.

Awesome find! A group of 20 went after leaving a soccer game and we all agreed this place was a great find. Although they ran out of ribs by the time we got there(to be fair it was 7:15pm), we all tried different things off the menu. The pulled pork sandwich was good. The chicken was so tasty, we had people going back up for seconds! My teenage daughter had asked me to ask the owner for the mac n cheese recipe because it is «hands down the best I’ve ever eaten!» The owner was super friendly and the staff was excellent. We definitely will be back whenever we are in the area.

There is potential here. The baked potato with better was okay, but leaves a lot of room for improvement. At least the food has improved since the original owners are back. Overall rating: Work on it!

Sooo beyond good! A friend at work told me about it and I thought I might as well give it a try. Everyone was happy and full when we left and could not just leave what was left. Took home the left overs and was super good the next day. Definitely will be back soon!

I’ve always had the Sylvia’s light weight turkey despite the name I’m sure the bread has lots of carbs n calories(bread reminds me of Hawaiian bread). It comes w/honey mustard but I’ve tried it w/BBQ and honey mustard, both are great. The service is great! If u call ahead u can go thru the drive thru to pick up n the lady at the drive thru will greet u w/«Hey honey!» This is a hot spot for lunch so call ahead or be prepared to spend time parking or standing in line.

I’m so disappointed that my once favorite BBQ place has let me down once again. I do enjoy the meats but the side dishes are awful. I stopped eating side dishes here awhile back and started eating French fries. Today, I experienced a change from crispier fries to fat, greasy ones. That’s enough to make it my last visit here.

Tried this place for the first time and doubt I’ll be back. The turkey was bland. No smoke flavor at ALL. Ordered 1 pound to take home and it came with 4 pickles and 1 oz of BBQ sauce. The turkey tasted like sandwich meat from HEB. Ordered the Cow Bells(biscuit, cheese, jalapeño wrapped with bacon and deep fried) and it was raw in the middle. Not sure about any of the other menu items but the two I got were horrible. 1 star only because Unilocal makes you.

Great BBQ joint, had BBQ chicken and the banana pudding was to die for. Shrimp tacos were great for a BBQ place!

A three meat plate, additional side, and coconut cream pie was $ 21.33. Sausage — Nothing special and borderlines on grocery store sausage due to a lot of fat Sliced beef — Tough, flavorless, and dry. Good BBQ doesn’t need sauce but unfortunately this one does. Too bad the sauce is extremely tangy, although now that I think about it, maybe that’s to mask the poor taste. Ribs — I realize we’re a long way from Memphis, but that doesn’t mean you have to make tough, dry meat. The meat did not fall off the bones like it should. They were severely overcooked. Mashed potatoes — Cold and instant. The gravy has a bit of a smokey flavor, but I suppose that’s a good thing when your mashed potatoes don’t include any skins. Green beans — Canned and stringy, there were inedible, fatty pieces of bacon included. Fried okra — Pre-frozen and tasteless, you’ll need the gravy from the mashed potatoes to add flavor. okra was soggy, perhaps these are baked and not truly fried upon request. This is a far cry from the crispy okra at Swadley’s in Oklahoma City. Fried pickles — The only good thing because it’s the only side made from scratch. In addition, the pickles have enough flavor to mask any mistakes. Lightly battered, I’m glad I was able to redeem the Unilocal check in with no problems! They forgot my coconut cream pie. I went through the drive-thru, and no utensils were provided. I think I will avoid this place the next time I’m in the area!

Great food. this is the first time that I ordered the chicken strip salad… and I ate every piece… the lettuce and cucumbers tasted fresh out of the garden. No whimpy lettuce here.delicious. My husband got the stuffed baked potato. loaded and tasty. with 2 sodas. dinner was less than $ 17.great deal. fabulous food. yum!!!

Unexpected find. Good BBQ, moist and tender. Took it home to eat so I think it would have been better to dine in. Drive home was far. Great little place…
