First time here and probably the last time. Drink was weak apps were decent. Main course had sirloin asked for medium rare got well done. Mashed potatoes were horrible and asparagus was tough to chew. Ordered their so called specialty blueberry dessert and dough was raw but blueberries on the bottom were burnt! Service was extremely slow. I will not be back

Nice atmosphere but food was not very good at all. We tried 2 entrees and a appetizer. The appetizer was good but entrees not so much. Nice place to sit out have a drink or two but skip the food.

Very large restaurant/bar. Waterfront seating is available. The inside is very large, much bigger than it looks. Parking is tricky in the area, but the lot across the street is convenient during weekends and night hours. The happy hour is great. Food and drinks are all good. Service was really accomodating.

We enjoyed the food and music on their outdoor deck until they started letting people smoke. Shame to see a nice restaurant become a tacky bar

Great drinks, great apps, overall a great happy hour pick in Ocean County! I love the atmosphere of Water Street, whether I am sitting inside or out on the deck on a nice summer night. Food servings could be considered a little small– but by ordering three apps to split with a friend we were satisfied. The fish tacos and buffalo shrimp are amazing! Water Street also has a lot of weeknight deals along with their happy hour that I think are awesome. I cannot speak to many but next time I am free I will definitely head over to water street! Some examples include BOGO burger night, country night, and so on! Biggest downside of Water Street– PARKING! Depending on the time you go you either have to pay to park in a garage/lot, or need to park a little farther away and walk about 5 minutes to the restaurant.

Great experience at Baker’s Water St ! Second time there, the first time I went with a group for yummy dessert. My Husband and I came back for Lunch. I have only good things to say! The portions were very nice and the food was great. The specialty drinks are also delicious, not worth the price but very good. I would come definitely come back! I will be back to try the brick oven pizza

I’d say 4.5 to 5 stars! I don’t know what it is, but I really like this place! I’m a picky eater, and these are my favorites from the menu: I LOVE their lobster bisque, coconut shrimp, and teriyaki steak bites. Those are my favorites. Their bread basket before your meal is so YUM. The atmosphere is great. They finally redid the docks, and they have a great outdoor option, so that makes it awesome in summertime.

Recently came here with my boyfriend for lunch, since it’s usually quiet and I’ve heard the food is pretty good. We got seated quickly and our drinks came not so long after. I got a white sangria, the orange juice was sour but I downed it anyway! Our waitress was pretty attentive but that shouldn’t be a surprise, since only two other tables were seated when we arrived. My boyfriend ordered the loaded potato soup and enjoyed it, it filled him up — he could barely eat lunch. We both went for a special, buffalo chicken grilled cheese. I send him pictures of these all the time, always craving so we were both elated to finally eat one. It was on thick Texas toast, grilled to perfection. It was perfect, except for the random tomato that wasn’t in the description. I plan on going back, next time I’m going in for the Lobster Mac & cheese!

Nice place for lunch early dinner. At night on weekends they have bands play. My fish taco was really yummy and buffalo shrimp was good. Mixed drinks not that great.

Great place. Great food and drinks. Need better boat docks that can handle bigger boats. Parkin is always very difficult or a long walk.

This restaurant is OK, I have been four times so far and three times I have sat outside. They have really nice out door seating on the Water. The only issue is that they are a million flies coming in from the river landing on the food. The hostesses are constantly coming outside and kind of obnoxiously glare at customers because they are waiting for tables to come out. They give you AWESOME corn fritters instead of bread and the appetizers are all pretty good. The first time I was there I had a crab cake sandwich which was just okay and kind of greasy, both times after that I have had the filet mignon which came with onions rings so that’s awesome! I think this place COULD be great if they improved a few things, but overall it’s a nice place to eat in the summer time.

I rarely ever give out ones so listen up: DONTGOTOTHISPLACE. (Warning: rant ahead) The dinner started off with our waitress(who I won’t name) forgetting to bring us bread. When we asked her for bread, she replied«I’ll see if there’s some fresh bread in the back» — seemingly appropriate response right? GETTHIS she brings back a couple pieces of hard bread, and a dish of «fritters» which were really just fried dough pieces drenched in oil… It gets better… We asked for lemon 3 times for our water, for which each time she said she would go get it… that lemon never made it out of the kitchen. When we ordered dinner, we started off with an appetizer, which she thought was going to be one of our entrée’s…now I get that some people may order an appetizer for dinner, but still. The lobster bisque soup was the highlight of the meal, but by the time it got to the table it looked as if someone spilled half of it on the way over… it was half empty! The sirloin was actually pretty tasty, not gunna lie. This might be where you earn the one star here… for $ 15 we added a lobster tail to the sirloin, which turned out to be most likely pre-frozen and definitely not a filling/substantial amount of lobster for $ 15 at that! Now I get that this is a restaurant in a touristy area and they don’t really have to go over the top to keep a packed house, but for the prices(I was surprised they didn’t charge us for the ice in our glasses) I really expected better. We will never return here. If you could get a 0-star rating, this would getter’done! Sorry for the rant. I hope that potential restaurant goers read this and choose somewhere else… and pray to whatever God you choose(Jesus, Oprah, Reptar, etc) that don’t get the waitress we had tonight…

I went to Water Street for the first time on Saturday night at about 9:00 pm. Friends and I sat inside at the center bar. There were 3 bartenders working. We ordered food which had a ticket time of about 20 minutes. My chicken quesadilla was fine but one of the burgers took 20 min to arrive and when it did it was the wrong order! The bartenders were what set me over the edge. They ignored us. They would eventually take our empty glasses, not ask us if we would want something else and then walk away. In 2 hours the bartenders only came to us once on their own. I had to flag them down for the second drink and they were MIA the rest of the time. WORSTBARTENDERSERVICEEVER! The bar was not even full. Get rid of them before you lose more business. We left and went to Social 37 down the street and got nothing less than great service. I WILLNOTBEBACK!

The food was good and the service was good/exceptional, but the flies were intense… landing on the food, drinks, plates and glasses, spoiling the ambiance. At one point there were at least seven or eight flies on the window next to us, and the thought of using a menu to swat them crossed my mind…(but proper table manners and etiquette deterred me :) When our waitress inquired as to whether we needed anything, I was going to ask her for a fly-swatter…but refrained as well. Once again I give the food and service at Baker’s Water Street a C+, but the Flies get a big Fat F.

Great place! We went for dinner, and they were having a deal on burgers, where if you ordered two burgers, you only paid for one. It was a great deal! We both ordered the Water Street burger and were very pleased. The fries were great too. I got the white sangria, which was really delicious. The atmosphere was nice and dark. Good for couples like us, but lots of other guests were families, so the place is child friendly. The service was good. The hostess happily moved us to a table closer to the windows and view of the water when we asked. The view of the water was beautiful!

Terrific improved outside bar on the Toms River. Food very tasty and lots of choices. There with a big group, great service. Johnny Appleseed on tap a great choice. Will definitely be back again. Great addition to the outside spots they also have in Point Pleasant and Belmar. Love Moores in Freehold too.

We ate outside. The vied of the bay is breath taking. Two of us ordered the Bayou burger with bacon, blue cheese, carmelized onions, on a brioche roll. I asked for medium but the burger was well done. However, it was juicy and delicious. The fries were decent. Others ordered the chicken panini and the cheese burger, both were good. The waitress forgot my lobster bisque, never brought my water, and forgot an ice tea refill. She was pushing the beers. The service was less than stellar, but the quality of the food made up for it.

Food and service is good but prices could be better. Extensive menu, good lunchtime service. It’s on the water and really nice to sit outside, weather permitting.

This place has an amazing deck with a nice waterfront view going for it. Besides that, it feels just kind of… ehhh. My girlfriend lives right down the street from the place, so we’ve been in a few times. In the summer you can really take advantage of that deck, but when winter hits, it’s wasted. Plus, it always feels to me like the place is ready to turn into a club as soon as the families are gone. The food is ok. The burgers are tasty, as well as the sandwiches, the apps are basically your heat and eat variety. I feel like a place right on the water should go balls to the wall with seafood, but they don’t. Don’t get me wrong, you can have a fun time here, the do serve alcohol and the food isn’t bad at all. I just feel like it isn’t meeting its potential. Plus, I’m not all that into places that need cops hanging around in case something pops off.
