What is something here that we don’t have on the West Coast that we should try? Perkins. Okay, we will. The food wasn’t anything that I will be craving but I finished my meal & I think my wife would have. Except she found a hair. Pretty sure that wasn’t on the description. It happens sometimes, oh well. We didn’t make any fuss over it. I wish I remembered our waiters name. He was SUPER friendly & so quick with everything. If that hair wouldn’t have be there, we probably would give this place another try. But it’s a no now since there are too many other places to go to. *if you go, breakfast. that was the better dish(taste wise)

I hadn’t been to a Perkins in 24 years prior to this visit, the last one being the Freehold location. I’d always enjoyed it up to, and including, that point, so I have no real defense, other than I just stopped liking pancakes, I suppose. For whatever reason, this place popped into my head, and I dragged the wife here for a bit of morning refreshment on the way to the Camden Aquarium. Actually, it’s not on the way to the Aquarium at all, because it requires two u-turns to visit, but close enough. I had the Eggs Benedict, which were very nicely prepared, and the fake Hollandaise had an authentic, lemony bite. This came with pancakes, something I’m not accustomed to since most places rightly determine that English muffins and potatoes are a sufficient dosage of starch, but the bite or two I had of them were quite good. The hash browns were nice and crispy, the eggs poached perfectly, and damned if the whole thing didn’t constitute a satisfying breakfast. My dining partner ordered something called the«All-American Breakfast», which was two eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast, and came to a whopping $ 4.99. What a good deal! Our server was a little surly and sarcastic, but those are my two best traits, so I can appreciate that. Plus, he was doing double duty, both hosting and serving. I can see how that alone would fray one’s nerves. So, in summary, the food came out fast, was good, well priced, and I would definitely return. In fact, having been off pancakes for almost a quarter of a century, I haven’t been able to get them out of my head for the last four days. I’d head back over tomorrow, but one of the lessons I recall from so many years ago is to not brave the crowd at Perkins on a Sunday morning.

Wow, best breakfast in a long time and reasonable $ 4.99. I tried to take a photo but wife said no one needs to see how much she is eating.

This is the Second time i’ve been to this location, IMO better than the IHOP across the street. Good service & good food for a pretty decent price.

It’s a glorified Denny’s with slightly better customer service. if you have to go the chain route, go to an IHOP
