Food was ok. But the table service is terrible. I asked for more drink and never received it, even asking several different people.

This place used to be so much better. For a Friday night the food was stale or dried out from sitting untouched under the heat lamps so long. The sushi was terrible, there really weren’t as many options here as other places have and in addition we witnessed a very loud fight occur during the meal between a customer and the wait staff. I have no idea who was correct in the matter but the point is it definetly should have been handled better seeing as there were children inside and a lot of foul language being used. I definetly will not be returning back to this location

My second favorite buffet in TR! The food is really good… especially the sushi! A few different choices from the one I love by the movie theater on 37… some better! NEVER a wait! The place is huge and sort of a hidden gem. Definitely give it a chance!

Certainly a reasonably priced buffet, but its starting to look a bit dusty and dingy. Its BYOB and they offer wine glasses but they look like they haven’t been washed. Its been open three years and they now have stiff competition from the new Flaming Buffet. It was a draw three years ago but not today. I recommend the Flaming Buffet in Brick.

Ok. Finally. An awesome buffet… I’ve been hunting down the rare and endangered Chinese buffet for some time now. These jeans used to be a Northern NJ staple. I have become pretty jaded in re: the«Chinese Buffet» but this place FINALLY exceeded my expectation. First round: surprisingly fresh looking oysters and peel and eat shrimp. They were fresh and tasty and FAR better than $ 12.95 buffet warranted… I ate about 15 oysters. Crispy cheese wontons(NOT Crab Rangoon as the sign indicated) were fresh and hot. Spring rolls were fresh and hot. Round two: amazing peanut butter chicken(haven’t had this delight since the old days of the Geeen’s Court International Buffer in Clifton…) was awesome: crunchy and peanut-buttery! Lo Mein was fair– no aftertaste and noodles were fairly firm. Teriyaki Chicken was ok as well– a bit fatty. Sushi was actually better than most other reviewers state. I am a sushi fanatic and was actually surprised by many of the sushi and sashimi choices. Some were pretty darned good(others sucked in the worst way possible) but a nice effort, overall. Didn’t try the Mongolian grill but it all looked fresh and appetizing. Just for the amazing oysters, I give this place 3 stars. 4th star for overall good Chinese buffet. 5 star completely withheld for nucking fasty bathrooms. Just sayin’ fellas– get a freaking cleaning lady.

As soon as we were seated and we got up to get our food we noticed that all of the white plates were soaking wet on both sides with water pooled in them… I picked up one and it was greasy on both sides. I put it back I picked up another one and it was greasy as well. I noticed when I went to all the food stations all the plates had just been rinsed with a hose and no dish detergent was used. They had just been rinsed with water. I brought this to the attention of the employees there and she just said«sorry» and put all the plates back. I took 1 plate and dried it with a napkin and went back to get some sushi. There were perhaps a total of about 12 pieces of sushi in the entire sushi bar. There was little to no food in all of the food trays in the restaurant and whatever was there was really dried up and burnt. Whatever we ate was dried and hard and springrolls tasted like rotten cabbage on the inside cold hard and greasy! It did not sit well in my stomach. We all also noticed that there was hardly any food left and it was still early and not a great variety. Also, for the period of time that we were there the employees never brought out any additional food to replenish the food trays. I noticed that there were still people coming into the restaurant and I noticed that no one was replenishing the empty food trays. I went up and asked the girls behind the counter for the Restaurant Mngr. and they said they’re not in. They must have been teenagers and all they could say was, «sorry». The older lady that was working there did not understand English and just walked away. My complaint wasn’t taken seriously at all or rectified! Overall, we all felt this was a poor excuse of a restaurant ! We all left disappointed, angry and hungry. I will never go back there to eat again with my friends and family!

I love this place and go there with my partner every week. The food is great, workers are super friendly, and sushi guy is simply awesome.

Gross! Everything was stale and hard to chew as if it were under the heat lamps for days! The food is LOADED with salt… I understand buffets are not your top of the line food establishments, but this is clearly the bottom of the barrel! I purposely went into the bathroom to throw it all up because it was not sitting well. It wasn’t hard to throw it up either because the bathrooms are nasty! Please don’t waste your time or $$$. They have the audacity to charge $ 11.99 per person on a weeknight too! How they stay in business is way beyond me!

Me and my daughters ate here on New Year’s Day food is pretty damn good every time I eat here the experience is nice, food always come out fresh&The cooks always replaces the food even before the buffet get low so fresh is their top priority it seems in which is good, we had different and many varieties of sushi fresh sushi and if you don’t see what you want they will make you your own specialty sushi and it’s very cheap to eat at this buffet, for my family of five it’s only 23 bucks so far my favorite buffet

If you’re coming here for the dessert, as I did, the ice cream is self serve and by self serve I mean, dip your kid in the ice cream freezer. Aside from the dessert though, I felt like the food was sub par. The not so fresh oysters on a half shell tasted as though they’ve been sitting out for several hours. The service wasn’t exactly spectacular either. Despite the tip I gave him, the man behind the hibachi was very rude and our waitress didn’t even let us finish eating before asking us for money to settle the bill. Overall it was not a pleasant experience and would not recommend fusion to anybody.

I could go on about all the things wrong with this buffet, with cleanliness(or lack thereof) at the top, and I do have to mention the hot & sour soup as it was simply atrocius, buy hey, it’s a buffet and the kids wanted to come, so let me just say what was good. They do have a good selection and it is spacious inside; very nice fresh fruit with the watermelon quite good; and the desserts were plenty with hard scoop ice cream; the price for lunch was very reasonable especially for the kids; the best thing though was the fried chicken wings — dare I say phenomenol? Well, at least as good of fried chicken as I’ve ever had, let’s just say that. So even though I have to rate it below average even for the buffet, there are some things worth eating and the kids had a great time and the price is reasonable, especially for the kids for lunch and the staff kept our tablr clean. From the kids: «it should rate top notch», «best ever», «it has a waterfall and fish tank», we like the desserts”, «I like the glass thing»(meaning the chandelier), «kid friendly pictures»

Tried Fusion Buffet for the first time. Most of the time I go to Fortune Buffet on Rt 37, but I thought I would try Fusion. Most of the dishes I tried were cold. There really was not that much of a variety, as compared to Fortune Buffet. When I was getting something for desert, they finally brought out spare ribs, which I tried. Nothing to rave about. The best item that I had was the peel and eat shrimp. The only thing that I can say was better than Fortune, was there was no wait. It was really raining hard, so that might be the reason. So to put anything in a fortune cookie, the Fortune Buffet is much better, hands down.

Went to Fusion buffet, the food was o.k., they had whole baked salmon(3 ft. long), baked scallops, mussels, clams, coconut shrimp, plenty of seafood dishes, also plenty of veggies, etc. This place was packed on sat. afternoon, large place w/a lot of tables, this place could use a clean up, inc. the fish tank.

This place is pretty awesome, I mean its a buffet so no, its not the best food I’ve ever had in my life but there are plenty of things that are pretty frickin’ tasty! The food can vary day to day, overall this is one of my favorite buffets. For the price, you really cant beat it :)

Big place with a lot of food options; everything from general tso’s and chicken and broccoli to frog legs and peanut butter chicken. The crab rangoons are awesome and the made to order hibachi is delicious. But the number one reason I go there is strangely for the pistachio ice cream. Holy cow it’s unbelievable! Also a great price :)

Been there several times for lunch. Tried Dinner today, a waste. Lobster is featured, when we got there there were several small pieces in a sauce on the tray, pieces of claw and the leg that holds the claw. No meat in them. When we left, same tray still there – over an hour and no more brought out. The lobster was probably cut into 100 pieces. Their website says $ 10.99 for dinner, it was $ 12.89. Stick with lunch if you dont need crab legs.

It’s a pleasure to be the first one to review the fusion buffet in toms River New Jersey. Tonight my wife and I went there for a later night dinner than normal, and met a sizable crowd in this very large buffet place with a great selection of food especially the selection of sushi. Even though this buffets only real competition is the fortune buffet on Route 37 in toms River about 5 miles away, it holds its own quite well and with fast service, clean atmosphere and the hibachi ready to cook a meal to order this place stands on its own. I counted more than 14 sushi offerings to start off with. With five chefs preparing the sushi including deep-fried sushi and their collection of tasty bites Before you even get to the other 12 buffet kiosks of food. Selections quite amazing although there is no Tofu to be found anywhere and limited number of chicken dishes. There is plenty of beef, pork and vegetable combinations, shrimp of all kinds and such things as squid and octopus are added in common buffet affair, but the specialties of the night(this was a dinner menu), was fresh roast beef, serve yourself slices — a little bit over cooked for my liking, but everything else seemed to be fresh hot and done nicely. Also several Whole fish broiled or baked were offered. The hibachi grill was well stocked and ready for fresh cooking of any combination that you could imagine possible, tipping of course is appreciated both at the sushi and at the hibachi area. The raw bar area as well as the spicy crawfish was ample and many dessert options including a multitude of fresh fruit of all kind was there for the taking. Lots of baked goods including those delicious Rice donuts fresh out of the grease and covered in powdered sugar. This buffet seems to seat many more people then fortune buffet in toms River, and the amount of food selection is at least as great. Cleanliness was par, I think that the fortune buffet may be a bit more polished brass and glass, but both were respectable well-kept and even the restrooms were tidy. Honestly, the biggest disappointment was the choice of poultry, chicken breasts in a batter dip was available(it is good to see white meat chicken in these tenders), but there was no duck or any other dishes available with chicken Except for general Tao’s and there was no manned carving station on premises. But coming in at under $ 11 for dinner on a weekend and seven dollars for lunch any day of the week, this is a very affordable well-kept and fairly stocked buffet well worth checking out. I think seafood lovers will definitely enjoy this the most, coming in second would be beef, pork, chicken and then selection of vegetables, but again the lack of tofu of any kind seems to be missing from this Buffet, which may turn off the vegetarians and those who just happen to like tofu. But for sushi lovers, just a plate of mixed rolls will eat up the $ 11 fee. I give this three stars for some of the reasons listed above, location is good, parking is good, hours are great and food seems to move quite quickly especially around general mealtime. I suggest if you’re tired of going to the fortune buffet and need to change, give this place a try. I think you’ll enjoy the meal and likely will return.
