Pub-Grub was good. Service was EXCELLENT!!! Bartender made me feel like a local! Beer selection is really solid with mainstream and local selections. Ambience is good. I am an out-of-towner and was looking to watch a game and grab a bite to eat. Read some Unilocal reviews and this seemed like a great place. I had the Cape May IPA which was such a good beer and the Prime Rib melt w/fries. Fries were seasoned great and delish. Sandwich was solid but it could have been better. Would definitely go back to drink and eat again.

Fun and relaxing place to hang and enjoy the company of friends. The Irish spring rolls are amazing!!! I enjoyed game night on a Wednesday and enjoyed a singer songwriter type of background music one Friday night! We will be back!

Macintyre’s is very clean with alot of great food. Well priced. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Wait staff was very attentive but not overbearing. Warm friendly environment. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy again

I had been to the previous location years ago and had heard many positive things about it. I was intrigued to stop by today and check out the new location. Unless I meet up with friends, I will not return and here is why. First, when you walk in, there is no character. It is predominately gray and not a lot of décor. Second, there was one dart board. No multiple boards, golden tee golf, shuffleboard, etc. Just one dart board. Third, I ordered the wings and they were average at best. Not much sauce on them and not cooked well enough. Fourth, after I ordered, none of the bartenders asked me how my food was. The only things I will positively say is that the prices for food were very reasonable, they have a nice beer selection and some decent sized televisions. But as far as service, décor, etc. it was a very bad experience. From reading previous reviews, there has been customers who have had much better experiences than I have. I hope that whomever decides to visit this place has a much better experience than I do. I will try Pub 1850 instead the next time I am in that area.

We’ve been looking for a nice pub type restaurant. This was our first visit to McIntyre’s and we weren’t disappointed. The menu is priced right. Family friendly atmosphere. The burgers & beers were great! Try the nachos too! I definitely recommend.

Great local pub. Delicious food modestly priced. Friendly fast service and tons of food and drink specials. Try Irish egg rolls for app and Apple pie egg rolls for dessert! This is the NEW location of a an old and trusted local pub from the other side of town.

Visit McIntyre’s once a week or so. Food and service are consistantly excellent and prices are reasonable. Chili is the best ever, served with a plentiful helping of chips. Tuscan salad was a fresh and tasty concoction of greens, roasted peppers, tomato, and mozzarella served on a nicely chilled plate. Great craft beer selection. Currently offering St. Patty’s Day specials on Sundays and Mondays. Authentic Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner was quite good! Love this place!

This place moved from a larger location in Tom’s River that was primarily a sports bar with a backroom for live music. This new place is nicer aesthetically, but smaller. Still somewhat of a sports bar feel and majority of the seating is around the HUGE bar that extends end to end. They generally have live music on Thursday’s and this is very much a local crowd. This is not fine dining by any means, although they do have decent dinner specials(e.g. prime rib). not conducive for a date night, but rather a good watering hole to meet friends and get some decent food. hot wings, while meaty, tend to come out dry and often with a burnt taste. Bar staff is friendly and attentive.

Not an Irish vibe, more sports bar. Big, clean, staff friendly. Lots of menu choices, happy hour, late night. Looking forward to trying more on menu.

What I like from the star is that they serve dinner til 12:00 midnight. We both started with the pasta fagioli which was very good. We both had the Tuscan salad with ranch dressing which is mixed greens, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, sliced portobello and tomato. This also was very good. Finally, we both had the prime rib melt, which is blackened prime rib smothered with cheddar and topped with onion rings. Also perfect. We’ll be going back here soon.

Food is good but I ordered a Knob Creek before our meal and it cost me $ 10.00 plus $ 1.50 for the ice — must be made from special water. There is no ambiance like Rooney’s or Tim McCloone’s where you have an ocean view and great location that would make you feel better about the price. This is a neighborhood bar and there are other similar places where you are not ripped off for a premium spirit. We also ordered a house wine for $ 8(should be $ 6) but the thing is it is not free pour. They have the airline bottles. Go there for average to good food, beer but you can do better at The Brickhouse and the 1850 Pub, even Sweeny’s if you can stand the noise.

Good value, above average bar food and decent dinners. Very large bar but it can fill up quick. The bar is a strange setup but very friendly wait staff. Prices are better the most in the area.

I didn’t care for this restaurant at all. The food was just OK and although it was inexpensive it wasn’t good enough to warrant me to come back. I also did not care for the ambience. Lackluster

After a fairly disappointing visit to Brick’s other Irish-esque pub(Sweeney’s), I decided it was about time to give McIntyres a shot, and I’m honestly really glad that I did. Upon walking in, the first thing you’ll find is that the décor is… well, it’s anything but Irish. A real ‘sports bar’ vibe here, complete with rowdy locals during sportsball games all cheering and jeering loudly at the many TV screens. I generally can’t stand sports bars, myself(probably because I don’t really care about sports), but I’ll give McIntyre’s some brownie points for not cranking up the music /TV’s to deafening volumes — I could still hold a conversation with the people next to me, hurray. The menu was small but diverse enough to please most people, with a large burger section, as well as quite a few Irish food options. To date, I’ve had both the Shepard’s Pie and the Bangers & Mashed, both of which were pretty damn good, very filling, and came with soup or salad; a great value at ~$ 9. Another huge bonus for this place is their beer selection — there’s a good selection of craft beers here, as well as some local brews that fit right in(such as Rinn Duin’s Irish-styled beers). Beers were a *touch* on the higher side, with a pint of Guinness costing $ 6.50, where I’m used to paying more like $ 6, but it’s no big deal, the food cost balances it out. McIntyre’s is a solid option for some Irish food, good brews, and burgers. Glad I found out about this place — it’s tucked away in a fairly secluded lot, a true local hidden gem.

I’ve been here a few times and enjoyed it every time. I’ve had burgers and pizza and everything was really good and everyone was happy with what they ordered. The servers are always quick and attentive. The bar is good sized with a lot on tap. Seems to be a mix of 2 separate groups: 20 – 30 somethings and then 40−50s. I’m always puzzled by the presence of a bouncer between 6 – 8 for dinner on a week day… but maybe it gets roudy later? I’ve never been in there late so I don’t know, but I’ve never seen the need for a bouncer.

3 stars because the place is fine, the beer selection is nice and the prices are fair. The staff is very friendly and the bartenders are very sociable. I’m not a fan of the clientele that frequented the place, at least on the night I was there. I mean it’s toms river, do you really expect the patrons ages 21 – 40 to be classy and on their best behavior. I will be back to give it another shot though.

Went for my first time Friday night and left a very happy lady! The food was delicious. Our waitress was the best i have ever had. She knew all about the beers on tap and suggested a localy brewed beer that ended up being fantastic. She really made us want to go back. The experience was a very good one!

I had the worst experience. I asked if the bar buys back drinks. She said I don’t know you. So I spend $ 150.00 and received not one drink. I would rather go to pub 1850. Its all about customer service and this place has none. And p. s. happy hour blows!!!

Love this place its clean and everything is brand new. The food is excellent. The drinks are good too, but my cosmo that the girl made tasted awful and i asked her to change it and she got snotty with me. Then she went and talked to her other female co workers about it right in front of us. But otherwise this place is great.

We have been to Mcintyres three times in about two weeks! The burgers are every bit as good as Harpoon Willies, the pizzas have a nice thin crust and the Reuben egg rolls are to die for! …oh and the drinks are generous and reasonably priced! I hope this place does well… they offer the friendly atmosphere of a neighborhood bar and everything that goes with it!

The new place looks really nice! It’s a lot more minimalist than the previous location. Dim lights, nice wood and granite bar. The bar is large, but nowhere near as big as the old one. They have a good number of taps and bottled beers, as well as spirits. There is also a limited menu for now. The menu even limited is a good size. We actually had a hard time deciding on what we wanted. For starters we settled on the boneless Cajun wings. Instead of the normal nugget type things, we were treated to cut breast pieces. The Cajun seasoning was spicy but not too hot. The chicken was moist and delicious. I got the fish sandwich for dinner. I was served the fish and chips, but it was corrected, you can’t get everything right the first few days. The sandwich was worth the wait. Old bay seasoned fish with lettuce and tomato on a torpedo roll with really good fries. The place still has a bunch of TVs and a fun atmosphere. It’s a great option in the area and I think even better than it was.
