Love the subs, get cheesesteak subs often but the consistency is all over the place. Expected, I guess, because they hire mostly kids. Sometimes the meat is a bit too fatty. Most of the time, though… I love this place. One other thing to note. The ordering system although«old-fashioned» is stupid and not the responsibility of the customer. On one occasion I added bacon to a sub, when they first started carrying bacon. I was with coworkers and it was busy. I paid sat down and the manager came over and lectured me «you didn’t tell the cashier you had bacon, we will let it slide this time.» I apologized and sincerely didn’t mean to forget but it was additionally embarrassing. Perhaps they should change the process so there’s no margin for error. Then there’s the countless times I’ve ordered multiple subs and sometimes one employee takes all the sub orders or multiple employees will. Sometimes they make you take one number and others multiple. They should also ask if its to go. «Would I like a bag? No, I was planning on eating 6 subs and a container of cookies and a drink here and juggling the leftovers on the way out.» Lol.

Definitely can’t go wrong with any of their cold cut subs here. They are very generous with how much meat they put on the subs. I loved the turkey subs and roast beef subs I bought here, however, I did not like the chicken cheesesteak at all, not enough chicken and the chicken tasted like frozen chicken strips from a grocery store.

Best subs in Buffalo. The staff is always extremely friendly and the bread is INCREDIBLE.

I think Dibella’s is my favorite place to go to for subs(yes, I think they’re better than Wegman’s subs)! The subs come in small, medium, and large sizes. I recommend ordering a large sub that way you have half of it leftover for lunch the next day. They offer plain, sesame, wheat, and everything rolls. I think the addition of the everything roll is a nice touch. The rest of the menu is pretty standard compared to every other sub shop. You choose your meat and cheese, mayo, oil, or mustard, and then your veggies. If you don’t want to build your own sub you can order one of their specialty subs. I only have ordered a turkey sub from here but it’s delicious. Better than other turkey subs that I’ve ordered from places like Subway or Jim’s Steakout. It’s like real turkey and isn’t all slimy feeling. I can’t explain why it’s so much better, but it just is. I’ve also heard great things about their Cheesesteak sub. I’ll have to try that when I come in next. When I was in last, my order consisted of a large sub and a bag of chips, and then I decided to add a drink to make it a combo. My total came to a little over $ 14. Yes, kind of pricey for a sub shop but worth it knowing you’re getting another whole meal out of it for the next day!

Stopped in for dinner, we ordered 2 small Dagwood subs and a roast beef and turkey salad. The ordering was confusing too many questions from too many people, and a manager that yelled too much. But after all that we sat down and had a good dinner. The subs were made right. Rolls were fresh, meat was tasty. The salad was good too. Filling and had a good amount of meat. We will return…

I appreciated the chance to choose from 3 kinds of freshly baked rolls, and the endless list of toppings. Went with the old fashioned and had them add Dibella’s famous oil dressing because every other place I like it, but sadly, not here. Too many herbs I think. And the roll had a hard surface, not stale, not crusty, but just very firm and not so easy to bite into. I read that Wegmans based their subs on Dibella’s, but personally, I like Wegmans sub better. But I really think it’s a personal preference thing, try both and see which wins your taste test!

The subs are great. The atmosphere will also take you back in time. For whatever reason, though, every time I come in and try to buy a chocolate chip cookies WITHOUT walnuts they never have any. There are tons with walnuts available, but the plain are hard to find. Further, the service that I got at this location yesterday was just OK. The employees didn’t seem overly happy to be there and there was some initial confusion over who exactly would be filling my order. Further, the submaker was a little bit short with me regarding my topping choices when I asked her to repeat them.

Very disappointed in my experience here last night. Also I’m sad to say that I’m the only reviewer to give it less than 3 stars. Brad and I came here to have dinner last night. We walked in at 7:30 pm. This was the first time here for both of us and we were excited. There were 2 other people in line in front of us and 8 workers behind the counter and cash register. We waited for 20 minutes without being helped, and the people in front of us weren’t helped either, before leaving without food. I guess the hold up was we should have called ahead to order. Something we clearly didn’t know especially since it was our first time there. There were about 5 other customers that called ahead, walked in and walked out with their food within 3 minutes. I’m under the impression that you should pay attention to the walk-ins. Especially when they are there for 20 minutes. Who knows how long the 2 people in front of us were waiting before we got there. I’m willing to give it another chance. But I definitely learned my lesson.

We were new to this chain, and took a chance on a road trip. My son got the buffalo chicken and said it was his favorite sandwich ever. The fresh baked bread was really wonderful. The atmosphere was much better than you’d expect for a sandwich shop. Clean, well run, quick friendly service. And yes, the portion size is huge.

Decent delli subs. I had the Godfather. Was good. Meat tasted fairly fresh. If you are in the mood for a sub, go here over subway. The 6inch is their«small.» I think that it is plenty for you. Would go again

A wise woman once said size does matter, well maybe more than one woman. Anyways, they must have been speaking about Dibella’s subs! Holy freakin moly was this thing big. Fuccillo would be proud on how huuuuuuggeee this sub was! My Anaconda don’t want none unless you got what’s between those buns, well in this case rolls! I ordered thee«old fashion», on a sesame seed roll. And I didn’t think it would fit!(Insert a that’s what she said comment) Anyways… it consisted of ham turkey and Genoa salami! Price wise it’s not too bad for the size of this monster, $ 9.99. Would definitely recommend to anyone dying of hunger. You might not need to eat the rest of the day!

This is basically, a Wegmans sub. Rolls, meats, toppings — all identical. But, it does have Wegmans beat in a few areas. For starters, they have a medium sized roll. Its in between a half and a whole and its the perfect size. Secondly, the choices are endless. Easily, twice as many choices of your average Wegmans sub shop. I’ll be back.

The ambiance isn’t the best, a very simple look to the restaurant. However, the food will blow you away. The bread is made in store and tastes outstanding. I recommend the steak and cheese sub. It is the best one that I’ve found in buffalo.

Yum. YuM. YUM. YUM. GREAT east coast sub sandwich shops. We have stopped in twice, at different locations in New York. Great experiences both times. Warning: A large is easily shared by two. Or more. Maybe a group share. Depending on your appetite. I estimate 12 — 14 inches of yumminess awaits you in a large! Since we are road tripping, this was perfect for us. The breads are delish. The meats are fresh. Their special oil is pretty amazing. Friendly staff, yummy sandwiches. And don’t forget to purchase one of Grandma DiBella’s chocolate chip cookies. Those are way yummy too. UpDaTe After a six hour road trip, I busted out the second half, the remainder of my yummy roast beef sandwich and some chips. Oh my holy heck… The remaining half was even BETTER than the first half I ate at lunchtime! Phase ll = Fantastic All those yummy Flavors melded together(after a few hours, and a few east coast, states in the car) … rare roast beef, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, mayo, that yummy oil, all on yummy ‘everything’ bread. Totally yum… I only wish that DiBella’s was also in the west! I also wish I had purchased a second of Grandma DiBella’s cookies to go along with my yummy Phase ll meal!

Ordered a sub… I forgot how huge these sandwiches are. It was so large that my wife and I cut a half of it in half and ate that for dinner. The next day we ate the other half for lunch. The quality of the food always appears to be fresh. The service is efficient and the staff is friendly. I ended up ordering the Godfather Sub which didn’t knock me off my feet but I still enjoyed. I will be back.

Says they’re open until 10pm on Unilocal… they’re not. Drove to Dibella’s yesterday at 9, they were closed. Subs are delicious, but can’t get one for a late night craving! :/

The subs here are absolutely amazing. It’s definitely the best sub I’ve ever had. I can’t make myself go to a Subway since I’ve had it. I get the godfather sandwich with oil. The bread, meat, veggies, everything is just so good. Not sure what is, and I don’t even really like subs. For a while I was coming here once a week after my weekend workout to grab a sub. I think it’s really cheap too for the quality, a small is less than $ 6 which is actually not small at all.

I have been to Dibella’s many times in the past however this is my first review. If you are looking for a huge sub this is the place to go. You can eat in or take out. The atmosphere is can be somewhat noisy at times, tables are small if you have 4 people with you and it is decorated with old pictures. I usually order the«Godfather» sub and it is and can be used for two meals. It is down right one large sub. All the ingredients are all fresh from the the meats to the veggies. Their rolls are what I really like. You have your choice of fresh baked rolls from Plain, Sesame, Multigrain, or the Everything which are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. These rolls hold up well with all the items that are packed into your sub so you do not have to worry about them falling apart or getting soggy. If you are looking for a large sub this is the place you must visit. They have handicapped parking and easy access to and within the restaurant.
