Ready when we arrived for takeout, hot when we got home. Chicken wings were cooked wonderfully and the sauce tasted good. The pizza was different then other places in buffalo, with average sized slices but great seasoning, and crust was tasty too.

The big mac pizza was delicious! Ordered a few subs as well which we were also very pleased with! With all the pizza and sub shops around, I will be choosing to return to John’s!

For a restaurant that makes claims of having the«best beef on weck» it wasn’t even remotely good. Rolls were cheap and didn’t have any salt or seeds on them, kind of a signature to the kimmelweck roll. Meat had the weirdest rubbery texture accompanied by 0 flavor, unless plastic counts as a flavor for food. Service was slow, regardless of how few customers were in house. Fries were okay, but that was about it. Won’t be wasting money here again.

Last time I ordered from John’s it was not what I expected. Tonight it was exactly what I hoped for! When I called for delivery the person on the phone was precise and seemed to know what they were doing. My delivery arrived within 30 minutes(first time ever!!!) and was not only CORRECT but delicious and warm as well. Today has renewed my love of John’s pizza, subs, and chicken fingers. Well done.

Holy moly so a friend of mine recommended I try this place and specifically the Big Mac pizza and my only regret is that I hadn’t done it sooner! He told me he ate the entire thing himself in one sitting and I can see how! This pizza is a thing of beauty! I’ve had specialty pizzas in the past that seemed to be over loaded with toppings to the point where it becomes unenjoyable, this was not the case! Perfect amount of toppings, the combination of thousand island dressing with crunchy pickle bites, and the blend of cheese and burger was something I never dreamt of enjoying on a pizza but oh man I will be dreaming about this for days. I was told to order it without the lettuce which I did because lettuce seems weird to me on pizza but I bet it still would be good that way too! I wish there was a John’s in the southtowns but then again it’s probably for the better that there isn’t because I would order this every night!

Not sure who this John dude is but he makes one hell of a sub. I work in the area and every now and again when I’m jonesing for a semi indulgent lunch I head to johns. Their subs are toasted fresh on costanzo rolls and you can tell they use great ingredients. Service is fast, staff is friendly. If you’re looking for a sub, get to John’s!

I love their cheese pizza ! It’s awesome seriously can’t get enough of it. Always drove down there, enjoyed eating the slices and gosh that hot sauce I just love it all ! It’s definitely worth a try to check this place out, their customer service and the quality of their food, it’s just worth every penny. I would always come back to them !

If you allow your employees to eat while making pizza make sure they aren’t shoving their faces in front of the giant window so everyone can see.

John’s is an as advertised restaurant, which is really all you can ask for. «The Original Chicken Finger Sub»…yup…check that box. We came here for the tender sub and it was pretty on point. The chicken is tender and the bread is great. It is massive, though, so I would recommend splitting it with someone.

They are a good place for a chain. Used a Groupon and no issue honoring it. Good specials, good pizza, and tasty crispy boneless wings. I wasn’t disappointed and I will definitely go back again soon.

I have been meaning to try this place for a while now, ever since I got a gift certificate from them in the mail for a free small one-topping pizza. But I never felt like going to pick it up, so the gift certificate lay on my desk at home unused for a long time. I finally went there for the first time on Tuesday(two days ago) on the way home from work, after talking about it with a co-worker who told me that it was really good. Being short on time because I had somewhere to be in a couple hours, I picked up a couple of slices on the way home. I was really glad that I did! It was quite tasty! I decided then and there that I would use the gift certificate soon, and that it was definitely worth going to pick it up. The pizza there is the style that is typical here in Buffalo — a relatively thick crust with ample cheese and sauce, and if you order pepperoni, they are thick, curly, and crispy. Every native Western New Yorker that I know loves it. Everyone that I know from Downstate/New York City/New Jersey/East Coast or Chicago hates it. As an Ohio native who lived most of his life in Florida, I’m rather fond of Buffalo-pizza. But then again, I love both New York and Chicago pizza, too. Anyway, this was classic Buffalo pizza. But it is definitely one of the best that I have had since I moved here almost two years ago. Everything is fresh and flavorful and well-balanced — cheese, sauce, seasoning, and crust. The crust was not soggy, nor was it dry and overcooked. And the pepperoni were nice and crisp, just the way I like them! So, today, I decided that I was going to use the gift certificate. I found it on my desk, but to my dismay, I discovered that it had expired last week! Well, the pizza there was good enough that I figured I would still try and use it. If they said no, then that would have been fine. I may or may not have still ordered. But I called, explained about the expired gift certificate, and asked if there was any way that I could still use it. They guy who answered the phone told me that it shouldn’t be a problem. «Okay! I would like to use it then!» I placed my order, and then went to pick it up 20 minutes later. Once again, I was very pleased with my order! So, overall, I really like this place a lot. The pizza is excellent. The staff is friendly and courteous, and they definitely impressed me by accepting my expired gift certificate. They understand the important rule of business — that if you make your customers happy, they will continue giving you their business, and I intend to do so. One last thought — my co-worker who told me about this place also mentioned that they have really good subs. From looking at the menu when I was there, I think he is right. I would, however, like to prove that to myself. I guess I will just have to go back there some time soon and get a sub! No problem there, as I plan to go back quite often!

+ good location, good pizza — dry sausage topping Went here last weekend and picked up a couple pizzas. First one with sausage, mushrooms, and hot peppers. The next with bacon, pineapple, and pepperoni. They cooked them up in 30 minutes. Upon entering there must have been 4 young girls working there. Not sure why they need so many, but they were friendly. Both pizzas had tons of toppings. The sausage pizza had dry pieces of sausage on it. Not good, but the fresh mushrooms(not canned) and hot peppers were good. On the other pizza the bacon was in huge chunks and tiny pepperoni and a bit of pineapple. It was very tasty. The crust was a little plain on both. Next I’ll get thin crust. Overall, not bad pizzas and close to Boulevard Mall and all the other action.

I heard about johns and all the talk has been about there chicken finger subs and pizza so today I decided to stop in for lunch and try it on out. The pizza tasted good. Hot sauce/blue cheese mix and plenty of cheese. They give you the option of adding celery to the pie(hard to find a place that does that for this particular sort of pie) The fingers where cooked perfect. The crust was meh. It wasn’t thin which is good but it was lacking something. Same with the dough itself. I’d try out the chicken finger sub next time.

Pizza was okay, but no better than just okay. Service was really lacking. I took a look at their website, where they claim, «always great service,» but this was not our experience. We just went for slices, and we each ordered 2 pepperoni slices(4 total). I noticed after we ordered that the pizza was sitting out on the counter, and then they threw it in the oven to heat it up. Who knows how long that pizza had been sitting out, getting cold. I guess you can’t expect much from a pizza place when you’re just ordering slices, but there are better ways to go about it. Well, after waiting 15 minutes for our slices to heat up(not sure why it took so long), the girl brought our slices out in the box. Then she goes, «just so you know, we ran out of pepperoni so we gave you one with just cheese, is that ok?» I really wish they would have let us know before hand, instead of assuming that we would be ok with it. They didn’t say one word to us until they brought out the pizza. Anyone in the restaurant business should know better than that. Not to mention they charged us for the pepperoni slice(which was only an extra 30 or 40 cents, but it was still annoying). The pizza was really nothing special. The sauce was kind of weird and overall it was bland. Maybe their subs are good, since that’s what everyone seems to say, but I won’t be going back to find out.

Best chicken finger pizza on the planet. The only way to get a chicken finger pizza is the way they make it here… blue cheese/hot sauce blend in lieu of red tomato sauce to me any other chicken finger pizza is just bunk ridiculous… obsessed.

Absolutely terrible food! The pizza was under-cooked. It’s had spots where the cheese wasn’t even melted all the way. The wings were super dry and where not even the flavor we ordered. To make it worse, we got some food poisoning later that evening. I used a groupon for this and I would never ever eat here again, not even for free! I’d rather order Domino’s.

Love their chicken finger sub! Got to know this place and frequent it as I worked a few blocks away so it was a good choice for lunch due to proximity. Of note, there is another«chain» sub place within a block of this one but can’t tolerate the massiveness of the rolls they use for their subs. Anyway, friendly courteous staff and food was always of top quality. Pizza and salads ranked equally good. Choose Johns over the other sub choices in the area and you will not be disappointed.

A lot of times, someone invents something, and then someone else perfects it. Not the case with John’s! The original chicken finger sub… so delicious, that when our friends visit from NYC, not only do we have to stop for a sub, but they commonly order one more to go on the way out and it rides, buckled in, in the back seat to the airport with them. A costanzo’s sub roll, perfectly sauced & sized fingers, a generous portion of blue cheese, and the veggie toppings of your choosing. I was SO upset when the Southwestern blvd location closed those many years ago when I was a southtowner… perhaps it was John’s the pulled me north as I looked to purchase my own home. And hey, the rest of the menu is delicious too — but how do you walk into Duff’s without getting wings? You don’t. And you don’t walk into John’s without getting a CFS.

John’s might have invented the chicken finger pizza but I only come here for the chicken finger subs. These are truly one of a kind and I have never had anything like it before. And trust me… I’ve been searching everywhere, just lots of imitators but only one original. The sub is hot and has just enough blue cheese to cool things down. Can get a little bit messy but jut roll up your sleeves and dive in! Definitely one of the places I hit up every time in Buffalo.
