To begin with, I’m vegan, and therefore it’s hard to find a place to eat. So far I tried Pi Craft Pizza 3 times and it’s been great. The people are nice and the vegan pizza that I customize has been great! I think the price should be less though. One cool thing is that they give you a punch card and punch it when you buy a pizza, 12 punches(i think 12) will give you a «Pi Pizza» which is a bit small in size, but it’s better than nothing: P Other places charge less for a similar or a better quality, but no in this area, so it’s still good to have it here. I like it overall.

Ok. First off. I’m all about local mom and pop shops. Especially being from buffalo. I go here for lunch pretty frequently. During all times, even during lunch time, I hardly ever wait. You can be in and out within 10 minutes. Pretty much its like subway for pizza on steroids. It’s awesome. I always end up putting everything on my pizza and having the weirdest thing of my life, but always ends up being bombbbbb. You can choose the size of your dough, huge selection of sauces and ingredients. It’s pretty much endless toppings excluding a few things that you have to pay extra for. But for the most part its all included. GOHERENOW.

A friend recently told me about this place, I have been here twice now and I am INLOVE! Being from Buffalo, I love pizza. The service was always super friendly and welcoming. It’s a really neat idea, I love watching my pizza spin in the pizza oven and bake. But, the pizza itself is SOGOOD. They have every option you could ever want as a topping. It gives you the opportunity to be creative. This is one of my favorite lunch spots.

I have been to Pi Craft a few times and I am always happy with my meal! They have pizza, salads and sandwiches. It can be very overwhelming to walk into with all of the choices, but I like their variety of ingredients! Pi Craft is kind of like a Subway for brick oven pizzas. They have some recommended pizza recipes. I prefer to make my own. You choose your crust, sauce, cheese, meat, veggies and extra toppings. After you craft your pizza, it is baked in a wood fired brick oven behind the counter. You can also add some«after bake» ingredients after the pizza is cooked such as: prosciutto, arugula, fresh basil, balsamic glaze etc. I love that you can go to Pi Craft multiple times and never have the same pizza twice. There are so many possible combinations! I have a few favorite recipes: 1. Bechamel sauce(similar to Alfredo), topped with Ricotta, fresh mozzarella, artichokes, spinach and marinated chicken. 2. Herb red sauce, crushed garlic, fresh mozzarella, topped with every vegetable possible: broccoli, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, broccoli rabe, artichokes, zucchini ribbon and spinach 3. Olive oil and Parmesan cheese, topped with arugula, prosciutto and balsamic glaze If you need suggestions, the Pi Craft employees are always very helpful! It’s a great place to go for a quick meal. You can be in and out of there in less than thirty minutes.

The first time I went to Pi-Craft, I was extremely overwhelmed! Its like a chipotle for pizza. That’s the best way to describe it. All the toppings are fresh and the dough is as well! I recommend the plain tomato sauce, its just really good! I’ve never had the herb sauce. I get fresh mozzarella and their spicy turkey sausage, its to die for! Add some banana peps and finish it with the basil herb oil. YUM!

This is the Chipotle of pizza(if you don’t like Chipotle, you’re weird and should stop reading this). The staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgable; the atmosphere is clean and modern. There are a multitude of toppings and a separate topping area for gluten-conscious guests. They take great care to avoid cross contamination, but obviously can’t guarantee anything. It only takes around six minutes from order to pickup and the pizza crust is fully cooked(which is pretty rare). Give it a shot!

Okay so let me start with how did I explore this place. I was really craving for pizza so I looked for the nearest option and based on highest Unilocal reviews, Pi craft was on top according to the Unilocalers. So I dialed them for the order and the lady who picked up my phone simply denied to take the order saying«they don’t take the orders on phone and it takes them 5 – 6 minutes to bake the pizza». After disconnecting the phone I was quite impressed that they bake their pizza fresh. Then I went to their place and environment looked pretty good and neat. They really bake fresh brick oven pizza right in front of you. and that is so amazing!. So I ordered veggie and chicken pesto pizza for take away and their price is amazingly reasonable. Staffs are friendly and you can ask for extra toppings and guess what without any extra charge… Isn’t that great? Okay so coming to the taste of the pizza. the crust was soft, fresh but it tasted a little different… quite different than the other pizza. I would not say it was not good but I have not become a fan of this place yet. It would be too soon to form an opinion so I will visit Pi craft again for sure.

Took me so long to get around to trying this place because the location is just not appealing. There is nothing calling out to me to get pizza at a strip mall on Niagara Falls Blvd. The place looked cheesy from the outside and not in a good way. Inside was better. It was more spacious than I expected. My husband aptly labeled this place the Chipotle of pizza. It is a fastfood place but not too fast and with a focus on fresh ingredients. I love that you don’t pay extra for more toppings. I love how fast it is(but don’t see why I have to stand there waiting at the counter for it to finish cooking… awkward line up). I did not like that there were so skimpy with some of the toppings. We asked for basil and he slowly and carefully ripped up 3 leaves.

We’ve been to similar concepts of Pi Craft in different cities and been far more impressed. I feel like there was a lot left to be desired with the quality of ingredients and the stinginess of toppings at Pi Craft. Ordering provides many options because you can make your own pizza or pick from a variety of pre-selected options. We decided on pesto chicken because I’m addicted to anything with pesto on it. It’s fun to walk down the line and watch the pizza be assembled and go into the oven but that’s about where the fun ended. The employees weren’t terribly friendly and really just seemed to not want to help. When we went in for dinner we were the only customers in the restaurant and the person behind the counter had no time for us to be there. He didn’t smile or ask if we had any questions just rushed us to order. The pizza itself was mediocre. It was super greasy, and I’m sure having an oil based pesto sauce didn’t help. The toppings were very sparse and I’m not even sure if there was any chicken on my pizza even though the menu board advertises it as a «pesto chicken» pizza. I did really like the slices of zucchini on the pizza which I’ve never tried but would love to eat again. I know this was only a thirteen dollar pizza, but I really wish it would’ve been better. Like I’d mentioned, we’ve been to other similar pizza restaurants in DC and there quality of ingredients and generous portions of toppings make them far more memorable. Pi Craft was fun to try but probably not something I’ll go back to.

Pizza may be my weakness and Pi Craft definitely proved that. I did a create your own and it was great, between sauces, cheeses, and toppings, my creation came out fabulous. The atmosphere was relaxed and I didn’t feel bombarded when walking in the door. I would recommend a great spot for lunch with a small group.

Today was my 2nd time visiting Pi Craft, both times were great! I stopped in for lunch around 1 o’clock and there was no wait to get my pizza. For those of you who have not been here this place has the same idea as subway/moes but for your PIZZA! you can build your own or chose the special/anything else on the menu. You choose your size dough, sauce, cheese and toppings. They also offer VEGANCHEESE for my vegan friends out there! The inside is very large, lots of room to sit and enjoy your meal. the pop machine is out for you to serve yourself and you know what that means, free refills. I am looking forward to coming back here for more lunches in the future.

This place is awesome! I remember walking in here when they first opened and it was so busy that I walked out. Decided to give it another shot and was pleasantly surprised at how great the pizza was. Everything was extremely fresh. From the dough(pressed out right in front of you) to the cheese, veggies, etc. The pizza is very thin — fire grilled and dangerously good. You can make your own pizza with unlimited toppings! I got the 12″ with herb red sauce, pepperoni, bacon, banana pepper & onion — fire grilled and drizzled with herb oil. Phenomenal. Will be back!

Update: I went here again last night, and the crust on the inner portion of the pizza was the perfect thickness. I guess that one time was just a fluke! But again, I think they should roll out the dough ahead of time that way the sizes and thickness of the dough are more consistent.

Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! I ordered a Build your own Pi with Pesto, roasted red peppers, roasted veggie mix, broccoli, mozzarella, feta and balsamic reduction. My Pi came out of the fire perfectly done. Crispy dough and crust. Quick, easy, so many options and most importantly, delicious! My only gripe, I felt like they could be a little more generous with the toppings. I chose a lot but they were sparse. I will definitely be back to give it another try.

Aw man, I was really looking forward to having lunch here and the experience wasn’t what I had remembered. Between the three of us, we shared three 12 inch pies. The gentleman helping us was kind and offered some recommendations which we appreciated. The first pizza we crafted had an olive oil and garlic base. They used fresh crushed garlic cloves and olive oil. There was not nearly enough garlic and way too much olive oil, but I’ll get to that in a minute. We asked for ricotta cheese and the guy making the pizza suggested we add an additional cheese because the ricotta was more so a drizzle not a cheesy base. We did fresh mozzarella, spinach, chicken, red onion and prosciutto for an extra charge that was added on top at the end. We chose a basil after bake with fresh ground black pepper. The second pizza was an herb red base with fresh mozzarella, chicken, banana peppers and caramelized onions. Third pizza had pesto, chicken, spinach, zucchini, red onion and fresh mozzarella. Food came to about $ 40 with a drink. First issue, the prosciutto in my opinion should have been hot. It was added after the pizza came out of the oven and was cold. You don’t put a cold topping onto a hot pizza. It would have been nice to have a crispy prosciutto topping since the crust and pizza itself was far far far from anything crispy. The pizza was so FLOPPY. You couldn’t pick it up without the entire body of the slice completely flopping downwards releasing puddles and puddles of the base sauce, oils and the toppings themselves. It was a mess. This olive oil and garlic slice had WAY too much olive oil on it that it was soggy and wet. The only flavor I got from the pizza was olive oil. The herb red pizza was even floppier. There was no crunch, just soggy pizza dough. The pesto was the worst out of the three. There was so much oil from the pesto sliding off that we just got an oily taste, again, lacking any sort of desired crunch from the pizza crust. My sister wanted a side of bleu cheese so she went to the front to grab one without her wallet, because PI Craft seems to pride themselves on offering as many toppings as you want for no additional charge. $ 1.10 for a SMALL side of bleu cheese. You’ve gotta be kidding me. My next problem was the sharing aspect. They don’t offer you plates so when you want to share you end up eating your drippy floppy slice over either your pizza or someone elses and no matter how much of a tidy eater you are, you will drip your toppings all over the next pizza. It was messy. We needed share plates. The benches at the tables weren’t stable so it was also difficult to sit comfortably. I am sad to write this review because I rant and rave about PI Craft to anybody I come across who likes pizza. Thicker crust, less base sauce, a more substantial chicken(their chicken is shaven), hot toppings on hot food, offer share plates or leave them out without question, and maybe not charge over a buck for a teeny side of bleu cheese. They’re making a killing just off that!

The concept of quick, kind-of satisfying pizza should appeal to most people. Go through line, pick your toppings, and get it heated up in a fire. Yay America, we love our easy pizza. Butttttt… you’re destroying the nature of good-tasting pizza. The«quick and easy» appeal is a deterrent for me. I like waiting, I like wondering when my pizza is going to be ready(unless I’m grabbing a slice) and I like having pleasant conversation during my waiting time. But you don’t really get that here. As many have said, Pi Craft is the Subway of pizza. I think it’s good occasionally(like any other fast food place), but if I want delicious tasting food, there are better options out there. Especially for pizza. Buffalo has some very good pizza places and I would be less than compelled to take a friend to a place like this. I went with their Margherita pizza(I think it was one of their standard options) and I wasn’t impressed. I didn’t feel particularly filled after consuming the pizza or satisfied with what I was tasting. I think it’s because I have a certain standard of what pizza *should* taste like, and it’s not this. The sauce was bland and I remember my pizza being pretty burnt. A positive shoutout though: I remember having a pleasant conversation with the individual making my pizza and the manager came over at some point in our meal to check in on us. If I was on the fence with my rating, their attitudes and care to the customer would have scored them a higher rating.

Hi, my names Anthony… and I’m a Pi~Craft Addict. Seriously…this pizza is BOMB! Fresh, Hot, Made to order with a wide array of toppings and after bakes to choose from. Making your pizza as unique as you want it. Now…here comes my confession. I have yet to try any sort of protein at Pi~Craft. I know, I know. I’m usually a fan of bacon, steak, roasted chicken, etc. But the pizza I got is too good to even risk it! Basil Pesto, Garlic, Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Red Peppers, Broccoli Raub, Ricotta, Basil Oil and Balsamic. Super fresh, crisp, reminiscent of an artisan NY pizza with a sort of old world Italian charm. The 7 or so times I’ve been here, I can still see myself not getting sick of it anytime soon. It’s just way too delicious, comfy and unique. I highly reconnect everybody stop by for a pizza!

Pi Craft has made their shop over… And it’s not better than it was before. Things I noticed that bothered me: –dough is no longer a pre-made plank, but rather soft, so someone has to handle it… Saw 2 employees use bare hands to shape the dough, after one had been sweeping the floor and touching things all over the counter. After they shaped the dough for 2 pizzas my friend, her child, and I ordered, they finally put on gloves for the 3rd pie. It just grossed me out. –it took 3 employees to make these 3 pizzas and no one really seemed to know what they were doing. –also seemed to take FOREVER, and I don’t just mean the firing process, but there was a lot of standing around, seeming confused or something. It was weird. –I get that people like wood fired or cola fired pizza but I’m not sure how«burnt» it should end up being. My pizza seemed totally burnt on the bottom and it wasn’t good. Super dry crust. Eh. No. The firing process also involved several employees who didn’t seem to know which way was up. And they kind of argued about it «no, I’m supposed to be doing this! You go over there!» Type of arguing. Weird. –we went on a weekday(Thursday I think) for lunch, at like 12:15. When we got there the place was empty but within 10 minutes the line was out the door. People were just milling around, waiting, totally in the way of others. Ugh, annoying. I don’t want several butts in my face while I’m sitting at my table and eating. They should have a runner who gives you a number to put on your table, has you park it, and then brings you your pizza. Standing around makes no sense. As is, I have no desire to return to Pi Craft. I don’t think the«improvements» they made really are improvements. I think they just further complicated an already complicated process. Nope.

A «Pie Graft» is when you use baked goods to replace skin that has been damaged. A «Pie Draft» is when you eat a pie on the streets of Chicago. And a «Pie Draught» is when you mix a beer-on-tap with a Pie. I’m going to let a lot of people down with this review. I already know this. And I am sorry. But I am nothing if not honest, and not everyone can like everything. Let me explain why I don’t like Pi Craft. First of all I predicted I wouldn’t like it. But I have been wrong before so tried it anyway. If a place is a college place, 9 times out of 10 I won’t like it. I’m not a big fan of what is popular with college kids(or teenagers)… and the worst food I ever had was my 3 years at Uni in USA. If it is Hipstery and Williamsburgy, not my thing. If it is a «build your own» concept(hello, Chipotle, hello, Subway), I won’t like it. If kids are making the food, I may well not like it. If it’s taking something good and putting an entirely new spin on it(in this case, Pizza), I probably won’t be impressed. Not into Fusion, nor people cooking foods from various cuisines in one place or having rotating menus… Yes, tangent. I’m just trying to give you my back story here. So here you have an example of most of the above. You could very easily find a place like this in any given college town, and in some cases it might compare decently since pizza is awful in many towns. In Buffalo, pizza is AMAZING. Look at the menu. — «more locations coming!» — yay, chains ftw. They admit that what they are doing is «Chipotlizing Pizza.»(cringe)(hides)(cries)(gives up on life). Great. Congrats. Thanks for this. And don’t get me started on the stuff they say about the dough. They’re excellent writers. They could make Subway sound like a work of art. That doesn’t make Subway a work of art. Let’s start with what is good. — Low price and they do half orders — The environment is nice, if a little fake industrial — The pizza topping selections are expansive and interesting — The concept is original-ish — The stuff on the wall is funny — My friend that I went with, liked it, but she is very easy to please — My friend’s son loved it, but he’s young and likes Applebees et al — The toppings are fairly fresh and there are many choices — The food comes out fast — No extra charge for extra toppings Now let’s list the bad. — Tastes like frozen pizza. «It’s not delivery, it’s disappointing.» — The dough is awful. Reminds me of a Tops Frozen Base maybe. — I find the tomato sauce and red herb sauce to be identical to the tins of awful tomato sauce that you buy at the store and keep in your fridge, and part of the sauce on the pizza was cold. — I find the overall taste to be utterly bland, the only saving grace is whatever you add as a topping. — I find the 18 – 25 age range boys to be not the most helpful or knowledgeable. — Hipster Employee City — Reading the signs, this place really thinks they make amazing pizza. Who am I to say they don’t?(They don’t). But their confidence that they do makes it taste worse. — The signs on the wall also suggest that pizza is the answer to all of life’s ills. I’m not denying that but there is a key word missing: «good pizza.» — Did I mention it reminded me of frozen pizza? A lot? Then there was the bathroom thing. I went to the bathroom. Heavy-set employee was in there. I hear the toilet flush. Instantly the door opens. The sink is completely dry(fawcett/tap hasn’t been used in a little while). Somebody didn’t wash their hands. And the bathroom smelled AWFUL if you know what I mean. Of course it was one of the guys who then made my pizza. I’m not health conscious, but in a place which is partly popular for being shinier and cleaner than all the other greasy dirty pizza places… that’s the first time I’ve ever actually been grossed out in that way by an employee at a Buffalo pizza place. It was hard not to think of it during the meal. The high rating shocks me… I don’t want to be insulting to people who think this is amazing pizza because you are entitled to your opinions. Let’s just say that you and I have very different ideas about pizza. I think Subway makes the worst Sub sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. I think Chipotle makes the worst Burritos I’ve ever eaten. And I think Pi Craft makes some of the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. If you do love this Pizza, then you’ll love pizza in California, Pacific North West, Denver, Williamsburg-Brooklyn and Astoria-Queens, not to mention DC and Boston, among other places. And if you love this place, you should really be disagreeing with me when I say that Buffalo is one of the world’s best food cities. Because there are so many newer, cleaner cities where every eatery seems to be along these lines. If you prefer that, it’s a perfectly valid opinion. But so is mine. I can’t pretend to like that which I loathe.
