When the amount of food choices overwhelm me and I can’t decide on where to go AND I’m trying to be budget conscious, I confess: you’ll find me at Subway or Mighty Taco. I usually make the last minute decision as I’m driving around ravenously hungry and unsure of what time my next meal would be. Since most of them are pretty much the same… it comes down to: Friendliness of staff: 4⁄5 — the employees seemed to actually have some good rapport going on and were joking around amongst themselves. Created a nice laid back environment and they seemed happy to be there. Cleanliness: 4⁄5 — didn’t notice anything unclean. Ingredients: ehh… for Subway standards it was good. Sometimes at Subway, veggies look like they’ve been sitting out there a few days too long. It wasn’t like that here. Ingredients tasted fresh. I got the 12″ veggy patty. $ 6. Foot long dressed with sweet onion and Chipotle Southwest, toasted on the 9-grain honey oat. It was as good as Subway sandwiches can be. Obviously, DiBella’s is the obvious local alternative(and generally much tastier), but they don’t have a viable veggie option at the moment(hope that changes soon!). Not that I’m even a vegetarian, but some days you just want a meat break.
