Let me start off by saying that this place is as cute as can be. It feels like you walked straight into a 90’s Meg Ryan film, back when Meg Ryan films were girly and still watchable. I’ve only been here for lunch, but it appears that breakfast/brunch would be the best option as that menu looks amazing. I’m a bit confused by the menu here since it’s half mexican food, half sandwiches, which really doesn’t make sense. This place absolutely does not feel like a mexican food restaurant and is not where I would come looking for that sort of thing. I’ve mostly sandwiches and burgers here and the food has been pretty decent and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I would come back, but likely only to try breakfast or brunch.

This is a really cute local restaurant. I love the location(one of the first floor store fronts of the Devon Apartments in Holliday Square). It’s a tiny space — luckily it wasn’t packed to the gills the day I went. The food was nothing super memorable — okay, decent price. They always seem to have specials on certain days with great deals. I’d definitely give it another try!

I enjoyed my lunch here and the café’s proximity to the Capitol Complex. The café offers two main choices for lunch: Mexican food and sandwiches/salads/soup. I opted for the Steinbeck sandwich. It was much larger than I anticipated and very filling. For sides, you have your choice of fries, chips, or pretzels. You can also get a combo which is half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. I would definitely come back here again.

We try to get to here at least once a month for their Saturday morning breakfast. The blueberry pancakes are worth the trip. The home fries are nothing to write home about and the coffee is not great, but we enjoy this local eatery.

Two words: Enchilada Thursdays. As a commuter to Topeka for work, I don’t go out to eat much in T Town. But Café Holiday is the exception. And worth paying an ATM fee since my bank isn’t in Topeka, just so I can have cash for the best enchiladas in town.
