I’m staying here for a few days and I thought it was a NONSMOKINGHOTEL!!! I came back tonight and the whole second floor smells like SMOKE!!! I will NEVER come back to stay at this Inn again. I have the worst headache from this SMOKE that won’t leave!

It’s one of the nicer Sleep Inns out there, but I don’t have terribly high standards for what’s basically a higher-end budget motel. I’ve used it several times over the past few years for my trips to Topeka, and it has worked well in each instance. I know the lady working at the desk has been there for years and has consistently given good recommendations for dining and other deals in the area. Definitely helpful from the start. On this trip, I booked one of their King Suites, which turned out to be the best bang for the buck. Lot of room to spread out in a very clean space, and the bathroom was much larger than the standard Sleep Inn standup shower /toilet combo that are in the regular rooms. There was actually a Jacuzzi tub in there, but the equipment to make it «officially» a Jacuzzi was dismantled, so it was just a very large tub. I kinda just holed up in the room and did my work on the laptop for the latest evening I was there, so overall it was a great fit for my needs. A couple of issues I noticed were as follows… 1. There’s something up with the water pressure in the bathroom. I didn’t have any trouble with the shower, though I did with the sink. It would be stronger then weaker before going back to normal. Didn’t really annoy me though. 2. My wife requested a late check-out of 12:30PM, and the night attendant said they took care of it. That, however, was not communicated to housekeeping who promptly knocked on our door(which already had a do not disturb sign on it) at 9AM. I was still somewhat asleep, but my wife let him know and he left. No further disruptions from the housekeeping team or anyone else afterward. We also let the desk know when we left, and they were apologetic about the issue, but alas. In the end, minus those couple of issues, we will be back. We’re in Topeka at least a couple of times per year for overnight trips and I’m certain this place will continue to fit the bill for our needs.

Sleep? Right. Not happening. Don’t ask for a late check out. I checked in after 3am. I STRESSED the importance of needing a late check out at noon since I still had a very long drive left. The desk clerk assured me I wouldn’t be bothered. I watched as He noted it on the computer. He also went into the house keeping log and noted it while I was still standing there. Told me to make sure to also put out the do not disturb sign. Promished me I wouldn’t be disturbed. It was almost 4am when I was able to get unloaded an into bed. At 10:30am someone beat on my door. My do not disturb sign is out. At 11am I got a call from the desk. I was pissed. She then lied to me and said there wasn’t any notations about late check out but she would let housekeeping know. At 11:15 house keeping AGAIN beat on the door. An «Im sorry» just don’t cut it. Should have just stayed at a Motel 6.

After 11 hours on the road, all we wanted was a place to rest our heads. Oncd we settled into bed, we came to find blood on our sheets and a suspicious white stain on the comforter. While the room was well decorated and modern, I may as well have showered under the bathroom sink. The shower head and water pressure were awful. The only positive thing I will say is that they were pet friendly. People on here have mentioned receiving a doggie gift bag, but we didn’t receive any such thing. I would never stay here again. For the nightly rate, we expected a lot more than what was offered. Not only did the staff leave much to be desired, but the manager wouldn’t bother to come out of their office to speak with us about any discrepancies. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else. This place was sub-par at best.

This hotel was clean, and easy to find. It was located conveniently off of I70, and was a solid stop for a night of rest before heading on our way. They did offer a continental breakfast, which was very typical hotel breakfast fare: scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, cereals, toast, coffee, and maybe some other things I’m forgetting. Not outstanding, but hey, it was complimentary. It was a good price for a room with a king bed, and most importantly, everything was pretty clean. Oh! There was a mini fridge in the room, which was really nice, because we had a cooler with some food in it, and we were able to put in the fridge overnight instead of having to get more ice before bed. The verdict? A very good place to stop along I70, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book this place for that purpose again.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. The beds are also very comfy and this is one of very few I can actually get some sleep at. The free breakfast isn’t bad either. The biggest complaint I have is the water pressure in the shower sucks badly! The water just barely trickles out of the shower head and so taking a shower takes forever! Also, there is no tub, just a shower stall so if you have kids who only take baths, then this hotel isn’t for you. Oh, and the housekeeper came into my room without knocking so make sure you lock the door if you’re in the room.

This hotel exceeded my expectations for a highway hotel. The front desk lady was extremely friendly and helpful. Free hot breakfast was more than adequate. The room was clean and recently updated with a refrigerator. They accept dogs for a $ 10 fee and even had a goodie bag with treats for our pup. There was a nice looking pool and hot tub and fitness room we did not use. The room was not spacious but more than adequate.

Bed were fine. Breakfast offerings were good. Shower pressure stinks. Shower door leaks like a sieve. Pool is ice cold and hot tub is lukewarm and extremely dirty. Overall, very disappointed.

I stayed at the Sleep Inn, which is conveniently located off the freeway(both I-70 and I-470). The rooms were also recently remodeled, so the rooms felt fresh, clean and modern(even if the bathroom felt a little small). The desk clerk was helpful. There’s also an indoor pool, which is nice to relieve some traveling stress, even though the pool area looked like it was still under renovation.

This is even better now that it has remodeled! My only complaint is that the breakfast area is sort of cramped. That is typical of all Sleep Inns of that era.
